1. Immigration has become a big problem in America. Millions of illegal aliens have been
crossing the border to get into our country, many, for a better life. I don’t have a problem with
foreigners immigrating to America, but I do wish they would do it legally. America is a great
place to live, if I lived in another country, I would probably want to live in America too.
To make immigrating illegally harder, we should first, make it much harder to create a
social security card. We could make them like our driver’s license; they are a lot harder to copy,
almost impossible, I’m sure. We could make a citizenship test easier, after doing the one online
and not doing well, it made me realize just how hard it is for an immigrant to pass one. Another
thing we could do is have the borders watched. This would however, be difficult. If we would let
people from other countries into America easier, then they wouldn’t be so afraid to come here
illegally.
Social security cards are important, everybody has one. But they are so easily to
replicate, that anybody could make one with a printer. Let’s start making them harder to
recreate. Citizenship tests are pretty hard! There were things on that test that I have never
learned; you would have to study for a week in order to pass one, unless you know every
answer. The borders could be watched, I think it would be really hard and not to mention
harsh, but maybe foreigners would feel uneasy to cross. If we would let the hoping-to-be-
immigrants into America easier, just test them easily, make sure they are not dangerous, and
make sure they are not hurt, and let them into America, legally. Give them a visa and help them
out. I wish there were more countries as great as America, if there were, we wouldn’t have so
many immigrants sneaking into the USA.
