Why Schools ShouldnT Have Homework
The American School System Shouldn't Have Homework
Schools in America shouldn't have homework. It has been proven to not help with test scores or school work, but what it does help with, is lowering
students' health. I believe that schools should assign little or no homework, It does little to help and more to hurt the students. For instance, most
students don't have computers and are financially unable to get one. This is unfair and can cause the student to be behind on their schoolwork. Another
reason is that students are so loaded with schoolwork and other family/friend activities that they don't have enough time to do what they really need to.
Lastly, the Finnish school system has shorter school days, more recess, and starts at the age of 7. Yet, it has been proven that they get one of the highest
test scores internationally. First, there's the case where students aren't able to afford a computer. This causes to affect their grades, school learning
experience, and their mental health poorly. Most students have parents or guardians that constantly want them to get good grades and when that isn't
possible some students don't take it very easily. Another thing is that it can hurt their grades because now in most schools their system relies greatly on
computers. Teachers use computers for assigning homework, being able to research topics in class, and giving weekly assignments that are made to be
done at home also. This can make a student become behind in

Personal Reflection
The reflection I see in the mirror tells me I appear the same as I did in high school. Same baby face. Same acne. Same person. I feel unchanged in
my appearance, and I have carried that belief to other spheres in my life. Yet, looking back to how I accomplished work in high school, I can see the
noticeable difference in the amount of time I spend on my work now compared to then. In addition, I entered Taylor not knowing a single soul. While
I was not exactly Miss Popular in high school, I did have a good group of friends, who all embarked on their own journeys after graduation. Creating
those friendships took time and effort, and I lost them in a matter of a few days of going off to school. So, I had to begin from scratch with friends
when I started classes, and it has not been without trials and tribulations, like most experiences have been like at college so far. I have always
considered myself a shy introvert, so I came into college anticipating for the social transition to be difficult. My expectations proved to be true, and
I have struggled in my social life. Making friends has been a slow process. Since I am so quiet in new situations, it is harder for me to portray my
personality to others and let them to get to know me. In recent weeks, I have improved in my socialness. For example, I feel incredibly comfortable in
my wing; thus, I have been able to let my true self come out and can now interact with my wingmates mostly without awkwardness. I started Taylor

Persuasive Essay : The Effects Of Dropping Out Of School
College has the potential to be either one of the highlights of a person's life or a complete nightmare that can put someone thousands of dollars into
debt. The biggest difference tends to be how well someone performs academically. It can be incredibly frustrating to struggle with schoolwork while
attempting to adjust to living in a completely new way. Dropping out of school isn't a completely illogical decision for someone if they feel that they
are going to fail regardless of how much effort they put forth. "We build a simple continuous–time model where high school graduates are uncertain
about their innate ability to accumulate human capital in college" (Ozadagli 279). There are many small factors that can help someone do better such
as note taking skills, memorization, or goal setting, the thing that will keep anyone on the track so success is to keep one's life organized. If someone
can organize their homework, study time, and personal life, it will greatly improve their chances getting a hold on their academic life. Homework is
something that is incredibly easy to fall behind on or forget about. It is unbelievably easy to come up with a reason not to do it, but it must be done.
"Most reasons are simply excuses to hide the fact that we are not willing to give something a high enough priority in our lives" (Roth 42). The most
important aspect managing homework is to always write down anything that gets assigned as well as it's due date. It's a bad idea to put an

The Negative Effects Of Homework
Have you ever been overly stressed or stayed up all night because of homework? Well according to Dr. Craig Canapari, sleep deprivation and severe
stress in students is caused by early school start times and heavy homework amounts. This not only affects teenagers, but it is also an issue for
younger children. 90% of teenagers are sleep deprived, which can have various consequences pertaining to their health, safety and overall well being.
About 15% of teenage students have over 2 hours of homework per night, some even having 3, 4 or even 5 HOURS OF HOMEWORK! I recently
sent out a survey to my classmates and I discovered that 36.8% of my classmates were spending an hours to an hour and a half on homework. I also
found out that 31.6% of them were spending 2 hours or more on their homework, which is more than the recommended amount for children our age.
Some may think this is helpful to their academic career, but it can actually be very detrimental. In fact, students can stay up doing homework for so
long that they become sleep deprived and when you are sleep deprived, it becomes very challenging to retain information. So really, when students are
doing hours of homework and aren't retaining any information because of sleep deprivation, every single benefit that a homework assignment may have
to offer is lost! Many people believe that homework is helpful, not harmful, but this is a lie. In fact, there is not much evidence to suggest that

Benefit Of Homework
Homework is often seen as a useful study tool, however it can cause more problems than solve them. Homework adds to the already harrowing task
of keeping up with grades, you have to worry about completing classwork as well as studying for upcoming tests or projects for six classes, even
seven, if you have a 0 period. Homework adds stress, prevents students from pursuing their interests, can cause them not to give their full attention
to everything they should, makes keeping up with a social life and having the interactions humans need impossible, all of which can add up to
depression (which is something many teens are already prone to). We go to school seven hours a day, sit in classrooms, listening and doing work
and often times worrying about everything we have to do after. Seven hours is a lot to do everything, but especially paper work and research, so
having to go home and have two to four more hours of that to look forward to... Is not particularly comforting. All this extra work is usually chalked
up to be something that will help a student learn the topic, but if teachers are doing their jobs to get the important points across and time is being used
well in class, than it should not be necessary. In an absence of homework students can instead spend the time usually wasted on often rushed, under
quality work, studying the way that best suits them, or participating in an activity that will ease their stress from the long tiring days of school. I'm just

This reflective paper aims at analyzing my learning experience in the Personal and Research Skills module and how these experiences are likely to
help both my post graduate study at The Robert Gordon University and my future career.
During my post graduate studies at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Personal and Research Skills was one of the four modules I took in the
first semester. This module invoked a mixed feeling of anxiety and eagerness to learn more about effectivelearning skills, critical thinking and problem
solving. I had many thoughts going ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When students reflect upon their learning, they engage in a potentially transformative act of responding to, connecting with, and analyzing an
experience, event, process, or product. Reflection is thus one way to bridge the separate thought and action: an opportunity for students to describe
their internal processes, evaluate their challenges, and recognize their triumphs in ways that would otherwise remain unarticulated (Allan & Driscoll
2014). Being a reflective learner would therefore help me be more proactive in applying my existing knowledge to create new ideas and improve my
understanding of course material. Reflective learning would also have a positive impact on my future career since I would be able to develop my
learning and thinking abilities by building on the critical evaluation of my past learning experiences and applying them to my work. I believe this
would make me self–aware and give me the ability to identify and address my strengths and weaknesses. I therefore agree with the argument by
(Moon, 2002) that reflection improves the depth and relevance of individual learning (Moon, 2000 cited by Trehan, 2008). If I had no knowledge of
effective learning skills, I would have been stressed out whenever I come across an academic, social or professional challenge which would have had a
negative impact on my performance in the long run.

where the change of sign method fails to find a root. I have chosen the function of x, f(x) = 45xВі–24xВІ–28x+16 From the graph above, it can be seen
that there is a root in the interval 0 and 1. However, because it is a repeated root, the change of sign method fails as there is no change of sign either

Personal Reflection
In the past year I attended our local community college: Mchenry County College.
Here, I enrolled in the several classes during Fall of 2016. Towards the end of November, I was going through some really bad mental issues. This
caused my boyfriend of two and a half years to break up with me, which caused me to spend a week in the hospital for behavioral health help. Once I
returned, there were three math classes that I had missed, a paper in english that was due soon, and a painting due in my painting 1 class. I was never
able to make up the math classes because of the amount of work that I had missed, but I did try to finish my english class and the painting for the
painting 1 class. Trying to distract myself, I signed up for another class over winter break. I managed to complete the first set of assignments, but the
manager of my job at the time, Jodi, was constantly scheduling me 6 days of the week, for 7–9 hour shifts. As well as working another job about 4–5
days a week to help me pay for a trip to Hawai'i with my friend Vanessa and her significant other. With this amount of stress, I was never able to
complete my course work because of working 12–14 hour shifts almost everyday at both jobs. I realize that putting off school for work was my
mistake, but I was still not in a good place in my mind at the time, and only wanted to make time pass, so I could distract myself. I believed that the
only way I could do this was working, and unfortunately let my school work pile

The Negative Effects Of Too Much Schoolwork
Have you ever heard your child complain that their school gives to much homework? Is your child losing sleep because of how much schoolwork
they have? Have you noticed your child's grades have been suffering? Well maybe you are on to something. Some kids may say that homework takes
away their free time, or the school gives so much that it causes insane amounts of stress for them, and homework can even cause kids to get worse
grades. These symptoms are all linked to too much schoolwork. You know when you hear your kid say that all they do is homework, and you just roll
your eyes? Some schools give so much work that even the most focused kids cannot seem to get it done with time to spare. This means that
children are spending all their time on work. This does not leave any time for themselves. As a kid, I know how important time to ourselves is.
That time can allow us to unwind and play with friends. If a child does not have enough free time, they may become grumpy or irritable. This can
cause them to not focus, which may lead to getting less work done. Excessive amounts of schoolwork can even cause kids to become so stressed
that they give up. This is one of the worst things that could happen. Researchers have discovered that when children spend too much time on
homework, they experience extreme stress and different health problems. If a child is over stressed, they will start to have a high temper. This can
happen when someone is working so hard, they build up so much stress. If someone tries to talk to them, they might snap and become extremely
angry because they were interrupted. They may also start to not care about their grades, or about what they do with friends. Too much homework
can cause family stress. Some parents try to help their kids with work. They may not know how to do the work themselves, or have the time and
energy after working all day. This will cause stress, not only for the parents, but also for the kids. If the parents do not understand the work, they
cannot help their kids understand it. Children also may not be able to spend time with their friends and family because they are spending too much
time working. When you were a kid, you probably played with your friends after homework.

Resistance in a Wire Coursework In this investigation we are trying to look for resistance in a piece of wire, and how the length of a wire can
increase or decrease the resistance. The things that affect the resistance in a wire are: the length of the wire a certain amount of wire cross sectional
area of the wire (thickness) temperature material What things can affect the resistance in a wire? The temperature can affect the resistance in a wire,
because the more thermal energy a component has the more the atoms within it will vibrate and get in the path of the "free" electrons, so the higher the
temperature, more resistance is being produced. Material can affect the resistance due to the number of "free"... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The thickness of the wire decreases. Once you have figured out the thickness of the wire (length x width), you will be able to calculate the ohms
law. Prediction My prediction for this experiment is, once the length of the wire increases, so will the resistance. What my results show me My
results show me that once the readings on the ammeter and the voltage increase, so will the resistance, because of this we decided to increase the
length of wire used by 10cm each time a reading was recorded. Method 1.Set up the series circuit. 2.Connect the crocodile clip to 30cm along the wire.
3.Switch on the power supply. 4.Record readings from the ammeter and voltmeter. 5.Switch off the power supply. 6.Repeat the stages of 2
–6 three
times at length 30cm intervals up to 1 metre. What I did and why I kept my experiment a fair test in the following ways: I did not change any parts of
the circuit (wires, ammeter, voltmeter or battery pack) in between the measurements – this would have prevented small discrepancies between circuit
components from affecting the results. When taking the measurements from the voltmeter and ammeter, I waited for the reading to settle completely.
If it didn't settle, then I would have made an estimate of the middle value being shown. Waiting for the reading to settle prevented accidentally taking a
reading while the value is fluctuating randomly when the power is first turned

Reflective Piece: Project: Babylon, magnum
Challenges
One of the biggest problems I had when trying to write this, was to try and keep it completely original, instead of trying to make it just another
'zombie apocalypse' style story. By the end, it seemed pretty much the exact same as much of the other kinds of stories. Another big problem had
been from when I would try to write down ideas before I forgot them and had wound up causing quite a few spelling problems, which I wasn't able
to fix. That was a smaller problem; I always have a habit of trying to go back and fixing any kinds of spelling mistakes the moment that I see them
which made this a little tricky. I think the final problem would most likely have to be the fact that there were times that I almost typed something in
third person, like I was for a side project (Unintentional pun.) and I wasn't able to fix this until I was finished writing the chapter, then I would go back
and fix it on the Beta copy.

Time Management
There is old proverb, "Procrastination is the thief of time." And in the classroom, one of the teacher biggest challenge is managing time–yours and the
learners. Effective strategies for assisting learners manage their time begin immediately as they entered the classroom. Incorporating a daily review
and, or warm–up activity at the beginning of a class period. This minimize the hectic and stressful first few minutes of a new period, day–to–day as
learners arrive at their schoolroom they take a sheet of paper from a distinctly identified container and instantaneously begin to work responding to the
query presented on the chalkboard, regarding the preceding tutorial. Accordingly, teaching the learners to enter, and straightaway start on the One
Question Examination, since they have limited minutes to complete the assignment before their responses are accumulate and examined. (Hughes, n.d)
During independent seatwork, encourage self–monitoring through requesting the learners to register their beginning period on their document. Once
the composition time is finished, request the learner to register the time once more, irrespective of the amount of the assignment they completed. This
certification is valuable in regards to exactly how well the learner can remain on–task and function constructively.

Why Is Summer Homework Essay
Argument Essay
Have you ever wondered why we have summer homework when we should be having fun during our summer break? Every year when we get out of
school we come home with more homework to help us try to not forget what we learned in the past year. What if I told you summer homework could
be harmful to us. It could be and here's why. There's not enough book to choose from, never learned the work, and it stresses everyone out. So summer
homework may need to be rethought.
We all know the feeling when you pick up a book and can't put it down. Sometimes that's not the case with summer reading books. Your assigned
with a book or two that you have to read and do a report on. Sometimes you love it, sometimes you don't. If you love it great, you can easily finish it
and do a book report on it. But what if you don't like it? Well either way you still have to read it. But if you don't like it it's a dread to go on. If you
don't like it you won't pay attention as much and might get lost and can't follow the story. Once you start your book report you have no idea what
you're talking about. Than what happens? You get a bad grade. About 78% of people don't do well on a book... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

My Goals Of The Time Management

In regards to the quiz, the first area of improvement would involve to slow down. I do always tend to feel I am in a hurry and rushed to do things.
Whether it's in the morning trying to get myself ready for work, getting my son ready for school and out the door, to ensuring I leave work on
time to beat traffic and arrive at his aftercare before 6om and have to pay a few. I tend to also feel hurried in the evening as I need to get home,

management would be feeling less guilty if I take time for myself and/ or my family instead of completing school work or studying. Although I do
purposefully spend time with my family, sometimes I feel that it may end up being too much time, particularly not productive family time. I feel
that I may end up spending too much time getting caught up in doing things around the house that I do not put in an adequate amount of time for

The persistence of earnings and earnings components after the adoption of IFRS Based on the research paper of Doukakis (2010), working with the
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) may impact determining earnings and earnings components. An analysis of data collected from all
non–financial companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, before and after the implementation of the IFRS, implies that the adoption of the IFRS
system does not appear to have a positive impact on earnings. Because of the use of the IFRS for a better financial reporting and an ease in decision
making process, the utilization of other accounting procedures are restricted, which results in a decrease in reporting accounting data. A critical
observation, based on the empirical findings, suggests that IFRS adoption has no effect on the persistence of earnings and earnings components for
profitability in future. On the other hand, the outcome of the findings, illustrates that using the IFRS principles appears to reduce "the persistence of
operating income (for the year 2006) as well as the persistence of non–operating income (for the years 2005 and 2006)" (Doukakis, 2010). In other
words, the study was able to prove that, although it does not entail that IFRS earnings are of a lower quality, an immediate decline in the explanatory
power of all research models occur after implementation of IFRS.

Homework is defined as "tasks assigned to students by school teachers that are intended to be carried out during nonschool hours" (Voorhees).
Throughout the United States' history, people's opinions have varied on the topic of homework. Historically, variation in the opinions of homework
have shifted over time due to educational trends and world events. Today, the topic ofhomework continues to cause debate among various
organizations and schools of thought. Although homework has demonstrated positive effects on students, homework should not be given to students
because it is not assigned appropriately, stressful for everyone, and does not benefit all students. While there are many negatives towards assigning
homework, there are a few positives that should be mentioned. In the journal, "The Case For and Against Homework", Robert Marzano and Debra
Pickering state, "The average student in a class in which appropriate homework was assigned would score 23 percentile points higher on tests of the
knowledge addressed in that class than the average student in a class in which homework was not assigned" (76). This testing success that students

Introduction ============
The data that we are going to use is secondary data that has been collected from a high school. It is made up of a collection of qualitative and
quantitative variables . This also includes both discrete and continuous data. The data is in the form of a spreadsheet, making it easy to identify the
required information for the investigation. I am using this secondary data as it would be easier than collecting primary data myself. This would take a
very long time, and using secondary data will not affect the results of my investigation if I emit any obvious mistakes in the given data. These may
affect the accuracy of the investigation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It will still give me a reasonably accurate result and using a sample will be more practical too. I will be using quota sampling in my investigation so
that there will be equal numbers of people in each group sampled, making it a fair test. The groups I will be using are age, weight, height and gender
of students. Within each of these groups, I will be using a systematic sampling system so that the sampling process is quick and easy. I have chosen not
to use stratified sampling as, even though the groups would be in proportion to each other, there would be different numbers of people in each group.
This would then make the groups harder to compare. If I was to use stratified sampling, and chose to use a 10% sample in each group, these are the
numbers of people that would be obtainedГ‚...
Year 7Г‚– boys: 15 girls: 13
Year 9Г‚– boys: 12 girls: 14
Year 11Г‚– boys: 8 girls: 9
I have also chosen not to use simple random sampling as this would take longer than systematic sampling and therefore would not be as practical and
easy.
How many people?
I will be using data from students in years 7,9 and 11, and have chosen to use the data of 20 students from each year group. This will give
approximately a 10% sample size in each group. This may result in

Step1: Identify the Problem
After a lot of introspective thought, my three biggest obstacles are my typing skills, time management, and my ability to read and spell. To begin with,
my typing skills are limited to hunt and peck. While I have purchased software to help me learn, it will not happen overnight. My limited typing skills
make the timed portions of my classes nearly, if not completely, impossible. For my career, this will handicap my ability to perform in any
employment situation. Secondly, time management is a key part in education and career goals. Learning to balance a full time job, school, and a
family with two small children is difficult. If I do not learn this art I will became very overwhelmed and one of the realms ... Show more content on

Are Deadlines An Incentive Essay
Are Deadlines an Incentive?
Procrastination nation has taken its toll on students all across the world. In Los
Angeles, StudyMode, an ed–tech company designed to help students succeed in school,
conducted an experiment on procrastination asking approximately 1,300 high
school college students about their study habits. "The findings show that procrastination
is widespread, with 87 percent saying they procrastinate, and that it's affecting their
performance–45 percent report procrastination negatively impacts their grades on at
least a fairly regular basis" (StudyMode). These numbers alone indicate that students end
up leaving their assignments till the last minute, having to rush through it in order to

"Whatever" is a dismissive word often used by a mother who having grown tired of repeating the same thing over and over, has given in and has
ultimately stopped caring. Only once, they overcome this barrier, are Colman and Millie able to grieve together.
Following this is the relationship between Edith and her husband. Though we never hear from her husband, we learn about him through Edith. Edith
is an elderly white lady who has been widowed for a long time. Her husband was a black man who had come from Africa to Scotland on a boat. He
came over as a young man at the 'turn of the century.' At this time, racism was still very prominent and so interracial couples were virtually
non–existent. Edith says that people were shocked that she was "going out with, no, married to, a black man." A black man in a 'white' country at
the beginning of the 20th century was almost certain to encounter racism and inequality. Like Joss, Edith's husband was lucky enough to meet and
marry someone who accepted him for who he was as a person. This total acceptance and love for a man who society at the time said she should
discard and look down on as beneath her gives promise that had she of been told, she would have been accepting of Joss' choice to become a man in
the best embodiment that he could achieve as Edith has been portrayed as a non–judgemental, un–conforming and loving character.

The Problems Of Attending College
Overwhelmed in English 101 From any walk of life, attending college can be difficult. In fact, it can be overwhelming. If a student has just graduated
or has been out of school for twenty years, going to college can be tough. For older students, homework is done in a whole new way, online. Younger
students may be used to this method, but college is so much more demanding than high school. College is more challenging and every student is
responsible for themselves. Students are expected to do their work/homework without prompt and return it in a timely manner. Fox's college English
class can be hard because of the amount of homework, attendance policy, and the details of essay writing.
Just glancing at the amount of homework in the Syllabus for Fox's class can be intimidating. Students may feel overwhelmed at the amount of
writing to be completed. The syllabus States" There will be about four hours of homework a week" (Fox 4). If, any student is a poor writer or has
difficulty writing about a subject that is not his or her own choice, the writer may find that he or she can expect the homework to take much longer
than originally anticipated. Most of the actual written work will be completed at home. For example, during week three, in Hybrid Fridays class,
students will be expected to watch videos and write a five–paragraph essay (Fox 3) Students may struggle to get all the work completed when they may
have other homework, jobs or other obligations. For some students, doing

Why Cheating Is Wrong
Would you believe that 80 to 95 percent of high school students admit to cheating at least one time in the past year? (2nd source). Students use many
tactics for cheating because they do not understand the subject, or they stress the need to be successful. I believe, because of transformation of
cheating and lack of disciplinary consequences, cheating has become more prevalent in schools in our society. The first idea to understand about
cheating is the many forms of how they are carried out. As technology has grown and evolved to what it is today, it has opened many more ways of
cheating to occur and causes the temptation to be much easier to pursue. But first, there is the most basic form of cheating that we all know and it is
by simply looking off another student's paper. Whether it would be for homework or a test, it is more commonly used to copy for a test. Next, students
may get together and have one person to one half of the homework while the other does the other half, then they both exchange papers and copy each
others answers. Through the wonderful world of technology, cheating and plagiarizing is very easy to encounter, even without us realizing it. Students
use Internet sources to look up answers for school work and use those answers as their own. What they fail to do is properly source their information.
When this happens, they do not give credit to the information source, and it could cost the student a zero for the schoolwork, in the class, or worse they

Verbal Communication Coursework
Essay #1 The communication breakdown is caused in part by verbal communication, after the use of jargon, affected by the johari window theory,

paralanguage, and could have been avoided if the orthodontist had not used jargon and if both the assistant and orthodontist had practiced mindfulness
during the scene. The communication breakdown is caused in part verbal communication, when the use of jargon, affected by the johari window

physical noise that contributes to the communication breakdown. The orthodontist instructs the assistant by stating "Give me a 95 wire" and "Hand

The breakdown occurs as the assistant hands the wrong wire and instrument to the orthodontist. The use of jargon is also affected by the way the
johari window theory applies to this scene. In this scene, the open pane of the assistant is very small and her hidden pane is large because she does
not know the orthodontist. One of the pieces of information lying in the hidden pane is her lack of understanding of the jargon used in the scene. Her
lack of comfortability with the orthodontist causes her to keep this lack of knowledge in the hidden pane, shown by the narrator's statement, "She didn't
want to embarrass herself by saying she did not know which wire is which... which lead her to hand Dr. Lipinsky the random wire". If the assistant had
been comfortable and expanded the open window, she would not have caused a communication breakdown. Another instance of noise caused by verbal
communication, is the semantic noise triggered by insults. As the orthodontist

The I Had Butterflies Of Sweat As The Feeling Of Dread Run...
I had butterflies in my stomach and I felt like one big ball of sweat as the feel of dread run through my body. This is the feeling I would always get
in grade school when teachers would assign book reports. Well, others may have enjoyed read variety of books and then presenting what they read
in a variety of creative ways I on the other hand did not. For me, this was a long and hard process to even get through what people would consider
an easy book. Not only did I struggle with reading longer words but I also struggled to even retain how to read words like "this" or "because". It
was so frustrating because I would be reading a book and my mind would just go blank. I would try to rack my brain to try and figure out what the
word was and nothing would click. My parents caught this when I was in the first grade and so they had me tested. They said that due to my
articulation disorder my reading skills were delayed. After the testing, I saw a speech therapist to help with my articulation disorder. I also saw a
reading specialist hoping that it would help improve my reading skills. I just hoped these sessions would help me to be normal like the other kids.
I wanted to be able to finish a regular chapter book like everyone else and actually comprehend what I just read. Many people can hear my
articulation disorder when you talk to me and kids already made fun of me for that. So I tried to hide my reading struggles as much as possible
because I did not want to give anyone

Graduation Speech : Lincoln Park
A place where children from grades two through eight can go and engage in fun activities such as dance, baseball, karate, and homework help is what
the kids in Anaheim need. A place where children can go to "hangout" after school, do their homework and be mentored by high school teenagers,
college students, and adults who have plenty of experience with working with children is extremely necessary in Anaheim. Luckily there is such a
place; it's Higher Ground Youth and Family Services. The youth in Anaheim need to stay far far away from the dangers of; gangs, drug use, juvenile
hall and dropping out of school at young age. This program's purpose is to help shape the futures of these children, help mentor them, and get them on
the right path to success, whether that be going to a four year university, college, or simply just keeping them from getting into serious trouble.
Higher Ground is located next to Lincoln Elementary school on Lincoln Ave. and Broadway at Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is fairly small it is the
shape of a rectangle. it has a small playground, a baseball field, and a soccer field. The soccer field grass is not so green due to the kids who practice
soccer there every evening, there is not a day when the soccer boys are not out practicing. The baseball diamond is located on the opposite side of
the soccer field. Here the little league baseball team practices Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The playground is right by the entrance of the park and

Homework Is Too Much Homework
Starting in Preschool, students experience the responsibility of completing homework. Whether a student is memorizing the alphabet, completing
multiplication worksheets, writing poems and essays, or completing pre–calculus problems, homework consumes much of their time. As time progress
homework is becoming more of a burden to students. As children become older and life becomes more hectic, they cannot find enough hours in a day
to correctly and fully complete their homework. Because of this, students can possibly fall behind in school and homework quickly becomes useless.
Students of all ages are assigned too much homework. Homework consumes too much of a student's like and leaves no time for the more important
aspects of life. In the article Too Much Homework written by Professor Carol Huntsinger, which gives insights from a book called The End of
Homework: How Homework Disrupts Families, Overburdens Children and Limits Learning , written by Etta Kralovec and John Buell, explains that a
student's busy schedule along with immense amounts of homework takes away from the most important parts of life. In this article, Huntsinger
explains how a student named Josh Preston has a full high school course load, attends meetings, participates in school activities, and also attends three
hour swim practices in the evening. Huntsinger then goes on to explain that after coming home from practice at 7:30 p.m., Preston has to do almost
four hours of homework which leads to him only

Persuasive Speech About Sleep
Wake up. Drown in knowledge for the next seven hours. Eat. Homework. Sleep. Repeat. Does this sound like you? Wait, that's all of us! For
twelve years, the seven hour day at school just seems to get longer and longer every year. I know, graduation day is laying out at the beach while
we suffer learning about pythagorean theorem. As as much as we despise this thing called "school," there are steps to excel academically, mentally,
and emotionally. I think we've all cried at least once over how stressful school can be. First of all, we all hear the lectures "get enough sleep to be
productive the next day," by our teachers. They aren't lying to you. For instance, my close friend has the idea that if he stays up the night before until
2:00 AM studying for his test the same morning at 8:00 AM that he will have a better chance to score better than studying during decent hours. Come
to find out, he could hardly keep his eyes open during the two hour exam even if he chugged a venti caramel macchiato from Starbucks. Even if you
put the book under your pillow at night, that won't work either to retain information. According to SleepFoundation, the proper amount of sleep consists
of 7–9 hours for the certain age group. Sleep is vital because it rejuvenates our organs, especially our brain. Guess what my friend did after his test?
He slept for four hours straight. Although we are all guilty of procrastination, it cause stress for forcing our brain to work increasingly faster and

A student is sitting in his seat during 9th period and the second bell rings. The student can't even think right with the amount of homework assigned to
him. The teacher starts the lesson and that's when the teacher is not able to catch the student's attention. The student stares up in the air and looks at

"Hey, stop staring off in space and listen to the lesson!" The teacher exclaimed in a nasty tone. The bell rings and the kid finally gets home.

Why Schools Should Eliminate Homework

  • 1. Why Schools ShouldnT Have Homework The American School System Shouldn't Have Homework Schools in America shouldn't have homework. It has been proven to not help with test scores or school work, but what it does help with, is lowering students' health. I believe that schools should assign little or no homework, It does little to help and more to hurt the students. For instance, most students don't have computers and are financially unable to get one. This is unfair and can cause the student to be behind on their schoolwork. Another reason is that students are so loaded with schoolwork and other family/friend activities that they don't have enough time to do what they really need to. Lastly, the Finnish school system has shorter school days, more recess, and starts at the age of 7. Yet, it has been proven that they get one of the highest test scores internationally. First, there's the case where students aren't able to afford a computer. This causes to affect their grades, school learning experience, and their mental health poorly. Most students have parents or guardians that constantly want them to get good grades and when that isn't possible some students don't take it very easily. Another thing is that it can hurt their grades because now in most schools their system relies greatly on computers. Teachers use computers for assigning homework, being able to research topics in class, and giving weekly assignments that are made to be done at home also. This can make a student become behind in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Personal Reflection The reflection I see in the mirror tells me I appear the same as I did in high school. Same baby face. Same acne. Same person. I feel unchanged in my appearance, and I have carried that belief to other spheres in my life. Yet, looking back to how I accomplished work in high school, I can see the noticeable difference in the amount of time I spend on my work now compared to then. In addition, I entered Taylor not knowing a single soul. While I was not exactly Miss Popular in high school, I did have a good group of friends, who all embarked on their own journeys after graduation. Creating those friendships took time and effort, and I lost them in a matter of a few days of going off to school. So, I had to begin from scratch with friends when I started classes, and it has not been without trials and tribulations, like most experiences have been like at college so far. I have always considered myself a shy introvert, so I came into college anticipating for the social transition to be difficult. My expectations proved to be true, and I have struggled in my social life. Making friends has been a slow process. Since I am so quiet in new situations, it is harder for me to portray my personality to others and let them to get to know me. In recent weeks, I have improved in my socialness. For example, I feel incredibly comfortable in my wing; thus, I have been able to let my true self come out and can now interact with my wingmates mostly without awkwardness. I started Taylor with a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Persuasive Essay : The Effects Of Dropping Out Of School College has the potential to be either one of the highlights of a person's life or a complete nightmare that can put someone thousands of dollars into debt. The biggest difference tends to be how well someone performs academically. It can be incredibly frustrating to struggle with schoolwork while attempting to adjust to living in a completely new way. Dropping out of school isn't a completely illogical decision for someone if they feel that they are going to fail regardless of how much effort they put forth. "We build a simple continuous–time model where high school graduates are uncertain about their innate ability to accumulate human capital in college" (Ozadagli 279). There are many small factors that can help someone do better such as note taking skills, memorization, or goal setting, the thing that will keep anyone on the track so success is to keep one's life organized. If someone can organize their homework, study time, and personal life, it will greatly improve their chances getting a hold on their academic life. Homework is something that is incredibly easy to fall behind on or forget about. It is unbelievably easy to come up with a reason not to do it, but it must be done. "Most reasons are simply excuses to hide the fact that we are not willing to give something a high enough priority in our lives" (Roth 42). The most important aspect managing homework is to always write down anything that gets assigned as well as it's due date. It's a bad idea to put an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Negative Effects Of Homework Have you ever been overly stressed or stayed up all night because of homework? Well according to Dr. Craig Canapari, sleep deprivation and severe stress in students is caused by early school start times and heavy homework amounts. This not only affects teenagers, but it is also an issue for younger children. 90% of teenagers are sleep deprived, which can have various consequences pertaining to their health, safety and overall well being. About 15% of teenage students have over 2 hours of homework per night, some even having 3, 4 or even 5 HOURS OF HOMEWORK! I recently sent out a survey to my classmates and I discovered that 36.8% of my classmates were spending an hours to an hour and a half on homework. I also found out that 31.6% of them were spending 2 hours or more on their homework, which is more than the recommended amount for children our age. Some may think this is helpful to their academic career, but it can actually be very detrimental. In fact, students can stay up doing homework for so long that they become sleep deprived and when you are sleep deprived, it becomes very challenging to retain information. So really, when students are doing hours of homework and aren't retaining any information because of sleep deprivation, every single benefit that a homework assignment may have to offer is lost! Many people believe that homework is helpful, not harmful, but this is a lie. In fact, there is not much evidence to suggest that homework for students below high school ... • 5. Benefit Of Homework Homework is often seen as a useful study tool, however it can cause more problems than solve them. Homework adds to the already harrowing task of keeping up with grades, you have to worry about completing classwork as well as studying for upcoming tests or projects for six classes, even seven, if you have a 0 period. Homework adds stress, prevents students from pursuing their interests, can cause them not to give their full attention to everything they should, makes keeping up with a social life and having the interactions humans need impossible, all of which can add up to depression (which is something many teens are already prone to). We go to school seven hours a day, sit in classrooms, listening and doing work and often times worrying about everything we have to do after. Seven hours is a lot to do everything, but especially paper work and research, so having to go home and have two to four more hours of that to look forward to... Is not particularly comforting. All this extra work is usually chalked up to be something that will help a student learn the topic, but if teachers are doing their jobs to get the important points across and time is being used well in class, than it should not be necessary. In an absence of homework students can instead spend the time usually wasted on often rushed, under quality work, studying the way that best suits them, or participating in an activity that will ease their stress from the long tiring days of school. I'm just like ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. PRS Coursework 1 ROBERT GORDON UNIVERSITY MSc. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT BSM 160: PERSONAL AND RESEARCH SKILLS (FULL TIME) MOIRA BAILEY 1415792 CINDY OMARI WORD COUNT: 1,051 This reflective paper aims at analyzing my learning experience in the Personal and Research Skills module and how these experiences are likely to help both my post graduate study at The Robert Gordon University and my future career. During my post graduate studies at The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Personal and Research Skills was one of the four modules I took in the first semester. This module invoked a mixed feeling of anxiety and eagerness to learn more about effectivelearning skills, critical thinking and problem solving. I had many thoughts going ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When students reflect upon their learning, they engage in a potentially transformative act of responding to, connecting with, and analyzing an experience, event, process, or product. Reflection is thus one way to bridge the separate thought and action: an opportunity for students to describe their internal processes, evaluate their challenges, and recognize their triumphs in ways that would otherwise remain unarticulated (Allan & Driscoll 2014). Being a reflective learner would therefore help me be more proactive in applying my existing knowledge to create new ideas and improve my understanding of course material. Reflective learning would also have a positive impact on my future career since I would be able to develop my learning and thinking abilities by building on the critical evaluation of my past learning experiences and applying them to my work. I believe this would make me self–aware and give me the ability to identify and address my strengths and weaknesses. I therefore agree with the argument by (Moon, 2002) that reflection improves the depth and relevance of individual learning (Moon, 2000 cited by Trehan, 2008). If I had no knowledge of effective learning skills, I would have been stressed out whenever I come across an academic, social or professional challenge which would have had a negative impact on my performance in the long run.

I have chosen the function of x, f(x) = 45xВі–24xВІ–28x+16 From the graph above, it can be seen that there is a root in the interval 0 and 1. However, because it is a repeated root, the change of sign method fails as there is no change of sign either side of the root . This is a failure of the change of sign method. x = g(x) method Another way of finding a root is using the x = g(x) method. I have chosen the function of x, f(x) = 2xВі+ xВІ–5x+1, the graph of the function looks like the following: From the graph, it can be seen that there are roots in the interval [–2,–1], [0,1] and [1,2]. • 9. Personal Reflection In the past year I attended our local community college: Mchenry County College. Here, I enrolled in the several classes during Fall of 2016. Towards the end of November, I was going through some really bad mental issues. This caused my boyfriend of two and a half years to break up with me, which caused me to spend a week in the hospital for behavioral health help. Once I returned, there were three math classes that I had missed, a paper in english that was due soon, and a painting due in my painting 1 class. I was never able to make up the math classes because of the amount of work that I had missed, but I did try to finish my english class and the painting for the painting 1 class. Trying to distract myself, I signed up for another class over winter break. I managed to complete the first set of assignments, but the manager of my job at the time, Jodi, was constantly scheduling me 6 days of the week, for 7–9 hour shifts. As well as working another job about 4–5 days a week to help me pay for a trip to Hawai'i with my friend Vanessa and her significant other. With this amount of stress, I was never able to complete my course work because of working 12–14 hour shifts almost everyday at both jobs. I realize that putting off school for work was my mistake, but I was still not in a good place in my mind at the time, and only wanted to make time pass, so I could distract myself. I believed that the only way I could do this was working, and unfortunately let my school work pile ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Negative Effects Of Too Much Schoolwork Have you ever heard your child complain that their school gives to much homework? Is your child losing sleep because of how much schoolwork they have? Have you noticed your child's grades have been suffering? Well maybe you are on to something. Some kids may say that homework takes away their free time, or the school gives so much that it causes insane amounts of stress for them, and homework can even cause kids to get worse grades. These symptoms are all linked to too much schoolwork. You know when you hear your kid say that all they do is homework, and you just roll your eyes? Some schools give so much work that even the most focused kids cannot seem to get it done with time to spare. This means that children are spending all their time on work. This does not leave any time for themselves. As a kid, I know how important time to ourselves is. That time can allow us to unwind and play with friends. If a child does not have enough free time, they may become grumpy or irritable. This can cause them to not focus, which may lead to getting less work done. Excessive amounts of schoolwork can even cause kids to become so stressed that they give up. This is one of the worst things that could happen. Researchers have discovered that when children spend too much time on homework, they experience extreme stress and different health problems. If a child is over stressed, they will start to have a high temper. This can happen when someone is working so hard, they build up so much stress. If someone tries to talk to them, they might snap and become extremely angry because they were interrupted. They may also start to not care about their grades, or about what they do with friends. Too much homework can cause family stress. Some parents try to help their kids with work. They may not know how to do the work themselves, or have the time and energy after working all day. This will cause stress, not only for the parents, but also for the kids. If the parents do not understand the work, they cannot help their kids understand it. Children also may not be able to spend time with their friends and family because they are spending too much time working. When you were a kid, you probably played with your friends after homework. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. Resistance in a Wire Coursework Resistance in a Wire Coursework In this investigation we are trying to look for resistance in a piece of wire, and how the length of a wire can increase or decrease the resistance. The things that affect the resistance in a wire are: the length of the wire a certain amount of wire cross sectional area of the wire (thickness) temperature material What things can affect the resistance in a wire? The temperature can affect the resistance in a wire, because the more thermal energy a component has the more the atoms within it will vibrate and get in the path of the "free" electrons, so the higher the temperature, more resistance is being produced. Material can affect the resistance due to the number of "free"... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The thickness of the wire decreases. Once you have figured out the thickness of the wire (length x width), you will be able to calculate the ohms law. Prediction My prediction for this experiment is, once the length of the wire increases, so will the resistance. What my results show me My results show me that once the readings on the ammeter and the voltage increase, so will the resistance, because of this we decided to increase the length of wire used by 10cm each time a reading was recorded. Method 1.Set up the series circuit. 2.Connect the crocodile clip to 30cm along the wire. 3.Switch on the power supply. 4.Record readings from the ammeter and voltmeter. 5.Switch off the power supply. 6.Repeat the stages of 2 –6 three times at length 30cm intervals up to 1 metre. What I did and why I kept my experiment a fair test in the following ways: I did not change any parts of the circuit (wires, ammeter, voltmeter or battery pack) in between the measurements – this would have prevented small discrepancies between circuit components from affecting the results. When taking the measurements from the voltmeter and ammeter, I waited for the reading to settle completely. If it didn't settle, then I would have made an estimate of the middle value being shown. Waiting for the reading to settle prevented accidentally taking a reading while the value is fluctuating randomly when the power is first turned ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Reflective Writing Coursework Reflective Piece: Project: Babylon, magnum Challenges One of the biggest problems I had when trying to write this, was to try and keep it completely original, instead of trying to make it just another 'zombie apocalypse' style story. By the end, it seemed pretty much the exact same as much of the other kinds of stories. Another big problem had been from when I would try to write down ideas before I forgot them and had wound up causing quite a few spelling problems, which I wasn't able to fix. That was a smaller problem; I always have a habit of trying to go back and fixing any kinds of spelling mistakes the moment that I see them which made this a little tricky. I think the final problem would most likely have to be the fact that there were times that I almost typed something in third person, like I was for a side project (Unintentional pun.) and I wasn't able to fix this until I was finished writing the chapter, then I would go back and fix it on the Beta copy. The persistence of earnings and earnings components after the adoption of IFRS Based on the research paper of Doukakis (2010), working with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) may impact determining earnings and earnings components. An analysis of data collected from all non–financial companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, before and after the implementation of the IFRS, implies that the adoption of the IFRS system does not appear to have a positive impact on earnings. Because of the use of the IFRS for a better financial reporting and an ease in decision making process, the utilization of other accounting procedures are restricted, which results in a decrease in reporting accounting data. A critical observation, based on the empirical findings, suggests that IFRS adoption has no effect on the persistence of earnings and earnings components for profitability in future. On the other hand, the outcome of the findings, illustrates that using the IFRS principles appears to reduce "the persistence of operating income (for the year 2006) as well as the persistence of non–operating income (for the years 2005 and 2006)" (Doukakis, 2010). In other words, the study was able to prove that, although it does not entail that IFRS earnings are of a lower quality, an immediate decline in the explanatory power of all research models occur after implementation of IFRS. The orthodontist instructs the assistant by stating "Give me a 95 wire" and "Hand me the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The breakdown occurs as the assistant hands the wrong wire and instrument to the orthodontist. The use of jargon is also affected by the way the johari window theory applies to this scene. In this scene, the open pane of the assistant is very small and her hidden pane is large because she does not know the orthodontist. One of the pieces of information lying in the hidden pane is her lack of understanding of the jargon used in the scene. Her lack of comfortability with the orthodontist causes her to keep this lack of knowledge in the hidden pane, shown by the narrator's statement, "She didn't want to embarrass herself by saying she did not know which wire is which... which lead her to hand Dr. Lipinsky the random wire". If the assistant had been comfortable and expanded the open window, she would not have caused a communication breakdown. Another instance of noise caused by verbal communication, is the semantic noise triggered by insults. As the orthodontist ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. history coursework Select five sources. Explain how useful these sources have been in informing you in your enquiry into the main features of trench warfare on the Western Front in the First World War. Introduction The five sources that I have selected to help with my enquiry are photographs, an extract from a newspaper article and a soldier's diary. The reasons why I chose these five particular sources is because I believe that they are a wide variety of selections, dating back to many years, all ranging from the start of the war to the end of the war. However, one of my sources, the newspaper article, was published in 2008 so it is more of a recent source but still, very useful and effective. From my own knowledge I know the trenches were inhumane... Machinery guns was used on the Western Front to bring down/cut down the lines of attackers very easily. There were many more weapons used. However, this source does not show any of these weapons or how it is being used at the Western Front. It also does not tell us or show us how many people were injured or died in the first battle of the Somme, but from my own knowledge I know that there were sixty thousand casualties on the first day of the battle of the Somme. Casualties includes both dead and wounded. The normal proportion was about four wounded for every man killed, so approximately twelve thousand died and fourty eight thousand were wounded. Because this photograph is quite a close up one you begin to question whether or not this image was actually staged. The soldiers are actually looking at the camera and smiling which makes you question the reliability of the source. I also happen to know that it would have been pretty hard for a person to have taken a photograph of the trenches close up. There were shells everywhere; it would have been really dangerous ... • 41. The I Had Butterflies Of Sweat As The Feeling Of Dread Run... I had butterflies in my stomach and I felt like one big ball of sweat as the feel of dread run through my body. This is the feeling I would always get in grade school when teachers would assign book reports. Well, others may have enjoyed read variety of books and then presenting what they read in a variety of creative ways I on the other hand did not. For me, this was a long and hard process to even get through what people would consider an easy book. Not only did I struggle with reading longer words but I also struggled to even retain how to read words like "this" or "because". It was so frustrating because I would be reading a book and my mind would just go blank. I would try to rack my brain to try and figure out what the word was and nothing would click. My parents caught this when I was in the first grade and so they had me tested. They said that due to my articulation disorder my reading skills were delayed. After the testing, I saw a speech therapist to help with my articulation disorder. I also saw a reading specialist hoping that it would help improve my reading skills. I just hoped these sessions would help me to be normal like the other kids. I wanted to be able to finish a regular chapter book like everyone else and actually comprehend what I just read. Many people can hear my articulation disorder when you talk to me and kids already made fun of me for that. So I tried to hide my reading struggles as much as possible because I did not want to give anyone ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A place where children can go to "hangout" after school, do their homework and be mentored by high school teenagers, college students, and adults who have plenty of experience with working with children is extremely necessary in Anaheim. Luckily there is such a place; it's Higher Ground Youth and Family Services. The youth in Anaheim need to stay far far away from the dangers of; gangs, drug use, juvenile hall and dropping out of school at young age. This program's purpose is to help shape the futures of these children, help mentor them, and get them on the right path to success, whether that be going to a four year university, college, or simply just keeping them from getting into serious trouble. Higher Ground is located next to Lincoln Elementary school on Lincoln Ave. and Broadway at Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park is fairly small it is the shape of a rectangle. it has a small playground, a baseball field, and a soccer field. The soccer field grass is not so green due to the kids who practice soccer there every evening, there is not a day when the soccer boys are not out practicing. The baseball diamond is located on the opposite side of the soccer field. Here the little league baseball team practices Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The playground is right by the entrance of the park and is located ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. Homework Is Too Much Homework Starting in Preschool, students experience the responsibility of completing homework. Whether a student is memorizing the alphabet, completing multiplication worksheets, writing poems and essays, or completing pre–calculus problems, homework consumes much of their time. As time progress homework is becoming more of a burden to students. As children become older and life becomes more hectic, they cannot find enough hours in a day to correctly and fully complete their homework. Because of this, students can possibly fall behind in school and homework quickly becomes useless. Students of all ages are assigned too much homework. Homework consumes too much of a student's like and leaves no time for the more important aspects of life. In the article Too Much Homework written by Professor Carol Huntsinger, which gives insights from a book called The End of Homework: How Homework Disrupts Families, Overburdens Children and Limits Learning , written by Etta Kralovec and John Buell, explains that a student's busy schedule along with immense amounts of homework takes away from the most important parts of life. In this article, Huntsinger explains how a student named Josh Preston has a full high school course load, attends meetings, participates in school activities, and also attends three hour swim practices in the evening. Huntsinger then goes on to explain that after coming home from practice at 7:30 p.m., Preston has to do almost four hours of homework which leads to him only ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Persuasive Speech About Sleep Wake up. Drown in knowledge for the next seven hours. Eat. Homework. Sleep. Repeat. Does this sound like you? Wait, that's all of us! For twelve years, the seven hour day at school just seems to get longer and longer every year. I know, graduation day is laying out at the beach while we suffer learning about pythagorean theorem. As as much as we despise this thing called "school," there are steps to excel academically, mentally, and emotionally. I think we've all cried at least once over how stressful school can be. First of all, we all hear the lectures "get enough sleep to be productive the next day," by our teachers. They aren't lying to you. For instance, my close friend has the idea that if he stays up the night before until 2:00 AM studying for his test the same morning at 8:00 AM that he will have a better chance to score better than studying during decent hours. Come to find out, he could hardly keep his eyes open during the two hour exam even if he chugged a venti caramel macchiato from Starbucks. Even if you put the book under your pillow at night, that won't work either to retain information. According to SleepFoundation, the proper amount of sleep consists of 7–9 hours for the certain age group. Sleep is vital because it rejuvenates our organs, especially our brain. Guess what my friend did after his test? He slept for four hours straight. Although we are all guilty of procrastination, it cause stress for forcing our brain to work increasingly faster and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While assisting with homework, dialogue is inevitable. If the children with ASD associate their homework with more casual dialogue with another student, it may encourage them to want to speak up and communicate more. They could eventually develop a positive association with schoolwork because of the casual and non–competitive atmosphere of this environment. The second part of the sessions would include playtime, these activities would range in variation for each age group but revolve around sports, music, and art. The community night program for the adults with ASD will focus on social skills in real–life settings and possible job preparation for those who qualify. This session will also include adult community volunteers. They will be leading programs that will encourage participation in real–life social settings, that involve spoken language. If these adults with ASD are rehearsed and practiced in life like settings, they will become more prepared to face the same situations in the real world. Depending on the severity of the adult with ASD they will be placed in a specific group, they will also be monitored to find out what activities they are mostly interested in. The first half of the session will focus on life skills. These will include classes on self–care, safety procedures, and home economics, to provide the opportunity for them to become as independent as possible.
