Abnormal behaviors are seen daily, especially in an Parks Department building in Pawnee, Indiana. In the TV show Parks and Rec, a character by the
name of Leslie Knope displays a personality that one can identify as quirky and out of the ordinary. Her behaviors can be analyzed as unusual,
self–defeating, socially unacceptable, and causing personal distress. The times Leslie Knope has shown characteristics of being unusual is numerous.
In almost every episode of Parks and Recreation, Leslie portrays a behavior that is out of the ordinary, and among a minority. An example of odd
behavior would be when Andy Dwyer, a coworker of Leslie, is having his leg casts removed after falling into a pit. Leslie Knope is with him at the
doctor's office, and asks to keep the casts in her possession after a doctor removes them from Andy's legs, believing that the casts were a symbol of
hope and new beginnings. Another display of unusualness is when Leslie decides to promote the Pawnee Zoo by holding a marital ceremony for
two penguins that are new to the zoo. In this wedding, she talks for the penguins, and dresses them in bridal wear, even though both of the penguins
are male. After this causes some disruption in the town, she proceeds to capture the penguins from the zoo in Indiana, locks them in car seats, and
drive them to a zoo in Iowa. The last display of unusualness is when Leslie is trying to make up a story to a park ranger to explain what happened
when someone accidently got shot. She takes the blame for no apparent reason, and tries to come up with a reasonable explanation on what happened.
Rather than coming up with a reason that actually makes sense, she goes on a tangent off random things that have nothing to do with what the park
ranger had asked her. Along with showing traits of being unusual, Leslie also exemplifies abnormalpsychology by having self–defeating behavior.
Leslie portrays this by being indecisive when it comes to making decisions. In one episode, Leslie must decide between going to an important business

Analysis Of Breaking The Fourth Wall
The next part of analysis is breaking of the fourth wall. The Office uses this technique often. One of the ways a character can break the fourth wall is
by using it as an introduction. In the first episode of The Office each character went into an interview and it previewed what their character would be
like ("Pilot"). Another way of using this technique is to share their thoughts and emotions. Jim would explain how he has feelings for Pam, but
unfortunately she was engaged to someone else ("Gay Witch Hunt"). Nonverbal expression was a technique Jim used a lot in the show. When he
worked at the Stamford branch, the office workers there made fun of Jim for always smiling and looking into the camera ("Gay Witch Hunt"). The
Office had a creative take on this technique. In the last episode, the show hosted a questionnaire for fans to come in ask them whatever they wanted
("Finale"). This is unique for situation comedies because it blurs the lines of the fourth wall.

The twenty–first episode of the first season of the TV show Veronica Mars entitled "A Trip to the Dentist" displays surprising parallels to Aristotle's
Poetics. At the beginning of the season we are introduced to Veronica Mars, high school junior at Neptune High. Veronica Mars's best friend Lilly Kane
has been murdered a year prior to our introduction to Veronica. Veronica's father served as Sheriff to their county and took the lead on the murder of
Veronica's best friend. Keith Mars, Veronica's father is convinced that Lilly's parents, specifically her father, were somehow involved in their daughter
She then launches into an investigation of who drugged her the night of the party she lost her virginity. Veronica learns that her now boyfriend and
deceased best friends boyfriend, Logan Echolls is the one who had the GHB. After confronting him she discovers that Logan handed out the ruffies to

Carrie Bishop's shoes. It is later revealed at the end of season two that Cassidy did rape Veronica and gave her chlamydia. Carrie Bishop reveals that

Every community has its own set of standards that the members adhere to and uphold. These ideologies are often unspoken ways of thinking, and
while they reflect the society's values, they are often represented in a distorted manner so that the social system stays in order. Interpellation, on the
other hand, is what discreetly holds each person in their societal position, often based on ideologies. Whether we realize it or not, the culture industry
plays up on our societal ideologies, especially in movies and television programs. Think of a typical children's TV sitcom; most of these programs
depict a white, middle–class, suburban family with two heterosexual parents, three children, a pet. Each element of this "average family" is
ideological in assuming that the audiences expects and believes in, or are a part of, this familial structure. By endorsing these ways of thinking, the
program is relating to the audience and validating their beliefs. For example, a young girl interpellates when she recognizes herself as a daughter, and
thus, she gives her parents power.
Children's television is not the only ideology industry; all forms of entertainment often reflect multiple ideologies at any given moment. Tina Fey's
satirical comedy, 30 Rock, provides plenty of nods to ideologies surrounding the workplace, specifically the entertainment business. In the fifth episode
