• Should align with the general philosophy of the
school or district, the curriculum goals and
objectives of the English language.
• Materials must be selected with an eye toward
coordinating instruction within and between grade
levels, courses, and disciplines.

3. Relevance To Students’ Need
• Materials should be examined for level of
difficulty.
• They must be readable if they are to be truly
accessible to students.

4. Budget Planning
• Teachers should be able to plan wisely on
how to get the materials without involving too
much cost.

5. Facilities
• Should consider the school facilities first
before deciding on what types of materials
chosen.
• Can use school facility such as computer lab
to provide an online material which can be
accessed to all of the students.
