Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program
is a human development program of the national
government that invests in the health and education
of poor households, particularly of children aged 0-18
years old.
The Program have focused on two objectives:
1. Social Assistance
2. Social Development
2. Pantawid Pamilya helps to fulfill the country’s
commitment to meet the Millennium
Development Goals, namely:
1.Eradicate Extreme Poverty and Hunger
2. Achieve Universal Primary Education
3.Promote Gender Equality
4.Reduce Child Mortality
5. Improve Maternal Health
3. Set of Co- Responsibilities
To avail of the cash grants beneficiaries should
comply with the following condition:
1.Pregnant women must avail pre and post natal care
and be attended during childbirth by a trained health
professional:
2.Parents must attend Family Development Sessions
3.0-5 years old children must receive regular
preventive health check-ups and vaccines
4.6-14 years old must receive deworming
5. All child beneficiaries 0-18 years old must enroll in
school and maintain a class attendance of at least
85% per month.
4. The Benefits
* Health and Nutrition Grant
A household receives a total of
6,000per year or 500.00 per month
intended for health and nutrition needs
of the family such as food, medicine,
and vitamins.
5. * Education
Every household receives a total of 3,000 per
year or 300.00 per month per child a year, to a
maximum of 3 children per household.
A household with three qualified children
receives a subsidy of 1,400/month during the school
months or 15,000 for the whole year for as long as
they comply with the conditions set by the program.
The amount of grants that they would be receiving
depends upon their compliance to the conditions
6. Program Coverage
Pantawid Pamilya operates in 79 provinces
covering 1484 municipalities and 143 cities in all 17
regions nationawide.
The program has 3,996,967 registered households
as of February 2014.
