POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Human Resources Manager to oversee the execution of region employee
relations and talent management strategies. The position will have hands-on involvement, leading HR
staff training and operations management development programs, and ensuring compliance with federal
and state employment laws, state licensing, and other regulatory requirements. This critical position will
also ensure that corporate policies are appropriately enforced and implemented while partnering with and
supporting the Vice President Operations to achieve business objectives.
This position reports directly to the Regional HR Director who is based in the Denver, CO office. The
position reports on a dotted line to the VP Operations who is based in the Houston, TX office.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Investigation of, response to, and documentation of employee complaints, including potential
legal issues and EEOC charges.
2. Monitoring and assuring compliance in hiring practices and personnel documentation.
3. Training of account managers and supervisors in employee relations, positive employment
practices, and avoidance of legal issues.
4. Monitoring / auditing documentation of new hires, employee terminations and assessment of
documentation supporting terminations, and responses to unemployment claims.
5. Monitoring and documentation of all leaves of absence, including FMLA leave, 30 day medical
leave, military leave, and workers compensation leave.
6. Assist in development of managers through training on labor law, ER processes and skills; and by
helping VP Operations and District Managers deal appropriately with performance management
challenges.
7. Facilitate performance management process ensuring completion of annual performance reviews.
2. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree plus four or more years of business and
management/supervisory experience, three or more years of hands-on experience in employee relations /
HR.

• Ability to train / explain to managers basics in employment law for better understanding and
supervisory ability.
• Superior, world class interpersonal and communication skills as well as solid writing skills
• Proficient in web-based applications, HRIS, ATS and MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel and
PowerPoint), to effectively edit and create reports, database entries and presentation materials.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Highly effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of
the organization and manage under difficult service delivery timeframes
• Work with all levels in the organization to identify, analyze and solve problems and create
opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information and data.
• Keep records and prepare accurate and timely feedback / reports as required.
• Ability to deal with internal and external customers and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in
a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to lead in and influence a regional organization and interact with all levels of the
organization.
• HR management within a large service industry company.
