Questions for Your Prospective Supervisor1.How receptive are you to feedback from your employees when you do something theydisagree with?If one of your values is being able to speak up (diplomatically, of course) when you disagreewith a certain decision or behavior of your manager or peers, then this is for you2. Is there a project your department is working on now? If so, how are you interactingwith your staff on it? If you ask the safe question, “Do see yourself as a micro-manager?” they might answer, “No, Iam not at all.”4. Since working in teams is much more prevalent in today’s businesses, you’llwant to know more about my colleagues.6. What type of work do you delegate to your staff?I want to work for a manager who delegates, so you can develop beyond your role. 9. 9. Summary Questions1. Now that you have researched the organization, to what extend would your Christianworldview affect whether you would want to work there? My Christian worldview has three simple principles: The first principle is very simple: "Do forothers what you would like them to do for you. On the job, we will interact with a variety ofpeople: customers, suppliers, managers, and fellow employees. In every instance, we should putourselves in the other persons shoes and act accordingly. The second principle is to "give fullmeasure" to your customers and employees. The Second principle to practice is "Do not judgeaccording to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment" (John 7:24).Finally, establish highstandards of quality and focus your energy on consistent performance. The outcome of yourefforts will be the basis on which your work is evaluated.Integrating your faith with your job,and implementing godly principles in your business, will improve your results and make you abeacon in the marketplace.2. If you were the supervisor in charge of hiring for this position, would you hire yourselffor this position? Why or why not?Yes, I would hire myself for this this position, because I have the skills, knowledge andexperience to be a success for this organization.2. What additional training and/or experiences would you need to increase the likelihood ifbeing hired for this position? Propose a plan to gain the additional training and/orexperiences.The additional training that I would need for this company would be to strengthen my Microsoftskills; I would do this by enrolling in extra Microsoft classes in school and reading lecture books.3. What else did you learn while completing this project? What I did learn while completing this project is that if interested in learning how to manage aproject effectively, it begins with an overview of project management and includes intermediateand advanced courses that strengthen your communication skills and your ability to lead, motivate, coach and influence other to complete projects successfully. 8
