A Tier One Automotive supplier specializing in Progressive Stampings and automated assemblies, Robotic
welding.
Human Resources Manager:
• Manage a staff of 5 HR associates. Responsible for their growth, training, development and day-to-day
activities. These functions include training, recruiting, employee relations, benefits design and
administration, community relations, health and wellness and the HR function for our sister company.
• Assure company compliance in all matters of employment law including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, ACA and all
other applicable state and federal employment laws. Developed a partnership with our benefits consultant
(Cambridge) and our payroll co. (Paycor) to ensure compliance with ACA.
• Manage a $366,800 departmental budget. Achieved a final result of 28% under budget for 2015.
• Developed a company wellness strategy designed at reducing healthcare costs. This included developing a
wellness committee, 3rd
party wellness training for our staff, company soccer team, healthy vending options,
and onboarding a part-time company nurse.
• Design, drive, and administer employee benefits plans.
• Design and execute employee succession, development and training plans.
• Oversee the continued development of the company’s HRIS system. Adding a recruiting tool for candidate
tracking in 2015.
• Developed community partnerships designed to build employable market skills E & E will need in the
future. These partnerships include: I275 Industrial Council, Mclean & Co. research (via ASE), Schoolcraft
College, Michigan CTE readiness system study, and the Plymouth HR Chamber Council.
• Drive company-wide training initiatives. I’ve attained a 33K in government funding under the STTF (Skilled
Trades Training Fund) grant.
• Created and designed a compensation system with data sharing partnerships. These partnerships include:
ASE, TMTA, PMA, and Marsh McLennan Agency.
• Created an organizational community relations program. Created a partnership with the local Plymouth
Community United Way. I’ve been recognized by the organization for achievement in their small business
category.
• Created company social media platforms designed at attracting and retaining talent. These platforms include

2. • Oversee employee relations’ policies and programs for both UAW hourly and non-union salaried employees
to foster employee morale and retention achieving a 2.3% annual average turnover rate.
• Assure company compliance in all matters of employment law including FMLA, ADA, FLSA and all other
applicable state and federal employment laws achieving less than $500 annual expenditure on legal fees.
• Responsible for plant-wide safety and ergonomics initiatives as well as tracking related financial
measurables for safety, worker’s compensation, lost time, ergonomics, and return to work program. Serve as
chair of the safety and ergonomic committees. Assure the company’s compliance with relevant OSHA
standards. In the past 2 years we’ve identified and corrected 76 potential safety hazards. OSHA recordables
are down 78% in my tenure. Our total work comp costs are down 40% since I took over.
• Recruit, interview, and select candidates to fill vacant hourly and salaried positions. I set up and launched a
“job posting” component to our company website. I’ve successfully increased the work force by 33% since
the beginning of 2013.
• Labor Relations: Assure company compliance with UAW contract, grievance administration, and serve as
the lead for contract negotiations. 3 successful bargaining agreements ratified without work stoppage. I’ve
achieved a 56% reduction in grievance activity in my tenure.
• Administration of all employee insurance plans, analyzes trends, and makes decisions related to employee
insurance programs.
• Oversee company-wide training to assure compliance to OSHA and TS16949 quality standards.
• Responsible for company’s employee performance, career development, and compensation levels. Keep the
company relevant with market trends and data.
• Oversee company-wide training initiatives. I’ve attained 2 state and federal training grants carrying a total
