Printing multiple small documents individually wastes paper, but combining them into a single print job reduces paper usage. The document proposes combining multiple print jobs from a smartphone into a single print job to be more environmentally friendly when printing documents that do not use the full page.

The perception that the printing kills trees makes many people feel very conservative about printing especially when
content does not occupy the entire area of the media.
For example an environment concerned user may hesitate to print documents which are one third or one fourth of the
media size as each document will get printed in a new media. This problem becomes more relevant in ePrint scenario
because the user cannot manually combine the documents to a single one from a smart phone.
