2. We feel that:
We should reduce the use of mobile phones which will increase
the population of sparrows.
Why we selected this topic:
In today’s world many sparrows have died due to
reasons like:
 Loss of habitat
 Electro magnetic radiation
 Lack of food
 Modern agriculture
 Loss of tree cover
We imagined that:
 the most alarming of these is the radiation coming from the
mobile phones. So we selected this topic - decrease the use
of mobile phones to increase the population of sparrows.

3.  Ecological balance

 Brings prosperity
 We children always want to observe this bird
and always sing songs related to this bird to
entertain ourselves.

7.  To preserve these species from extinction, we
decided to work with the students in our
school to help them reduce use of cell phones
by
 Creating awareness about the benefits of the
sparrows
 Helping students engage themselves in healthy
sports activities rather than playing games on
the cell phones or talking to friends

8. What we did:
 After the collection of this information we
organized ourselves and took initiatives to
discourage students from using mobiles.
 We gave a talk to all our students that the
sparrows are decreasing in number through
out the world because of the vibration coming
out of the cell phones.

9.  To decrease the use of mobiles and increase the
population of sparrows , we called the students
of classes 5, 6 and 7 and gave a talk about
sparrows and the need to protect them.

13. We taught the students some games
that they can play in front of their
house with children in their
neighborhood. “Hopscotch” was
introduced and the students enjoyed
the game.

14. One week later, we gathered information from
them.
We are happy to note that there is a
considerable reduction in the use of cell phones
as informed by the parents when they came for
parent-teacher meeting.

15. *We are planning to create neighborhood children’s
clubs for students in our school.This will help many
more children become aware of the impact of the
use of cell phones.
*Atleast unnecessary use can be avoided.
*By replacing video games with outdoor games.
