When children come to school, they leave
the hands of their mom and dad and hold
the hands of the van/bus/driver/conductors,
before that of the teachers.
Their ‘bhaiyas’, as they are lovingly called,
play an integral part in their lives. Children
learn a lot from them, by observing their
behaviour and mannerisms.
So we needed to bring a change in the
‘bhaiyas’, by sensitizing them to the needs
of the children and vice versa.

O “Ma’am my bhaiya shouts at us.”
O “He has too many children in our van.”
O “Bhaiya achi tarah baat nahi karte.”
O “Mera auto bhaiya paan khata hai, usse baas atti hai.”
O “My van bhaiya talks on the mobile while driving.”
O “My driver breaks the traffic signals.”
O To educate the drivers on issues of health, especially
tobacco.
O To give a listening ear to their problems.
O To bridge the gap between parents, children, school
and the drivers
O To sensitise children on the problems auto/van/bus
drivers face.
O To develop mutual respect between the children and
the drivers.
HAPPY DRIVER’S DAY!!!!
