I've only been in school for a few days and I can already tell, this isn't going to be like other years.
Not only did I get to choose the classes I took, but I can also start to get an idea of what it is I want
to do with my life. I'm taking all honors classes, but that's more because mom wanted me to.
However, if it were up to me, I still probably would've taken classes that challenge me because I
would most likely get bored in other classes. Mom's still dead set on me getting into the National

Howdy friends, I just came back from a fantastic retreat with my young adult friends from Times
Square Church. To say this retreat was great will be an understatement! It's amazing how God can
alter one's plan for His purpose. My intention was just to go there and take a break from a hectic
week from school and troubles of NYC. Didn't know that God had other plans for me. While on the
bus to the venue of the retreat, I had a quiet moment with the Lord. My desire later changed from
actually wanting to just have fun, to wanting a divine connection with the Lord. This retreat
wouldn't be the first I would be attending, but I wanted this to be different from the other ones.

Bad things happen to everyone. Everyone has their problems but life still will go on, whether you
want it to or not. My timeline shows problems that I had throughout the past 17 years of my life. I
had surgerys, and i've hurt myself too many time to count, but I kept on going. Even when I was
young, I pushed past all those problems, and I still have continued to succeed today. I do things I

Recently, I observed a conversation on vaping which supposedly causes mold and burns in the
lungs. This caused us to pause and think, why do people try things which we all know are bad? The
conversation began as we brought up something about vaping and if it had negative effects. I
remembered that I had once heard that mold can grow on vape user's lungs when the vapor and
chemicals reach the membrane. Upon hearing this news others needed reassurance, so we looked for
information on the subject. As we brought up this fact, another participant asked ¨Why do people
vape or smoke when they know it is bad for them?¨ This question brings to mind our ability as
Americans for self–control and the human will.

We often think that surviving is our number one top priority or instinct, but we can also observe
many willingly killing themselves, albeit, slowly. In another sense each time one takes a drag of
smoke or vapor and harms themselves we would expect them to realize this is not helpful but
actually harmful to their survival, and throw down the habit. Instead we see them urged to use more
and more until we call it an unhealthy addiction. Although it is frowned upon in American culture to
smoke or use tobacco of any kind, vaping, which can as has also been seen to be harmful, is seen as
perfectly socially acceptable. Even though we know both smoking and vaping are harmful, one is
new, exciting, and claims to be less harmful. Americans often see these transitions and think very
little of them, but they both have similar ill effects we just choose to ignore one and not the other.
Our culture decides what is bad, fine, or even good not based on fact or research, but our
understanding and feelings of the questioned problem. Americans do not care if something causes a
problem unless it is immediate and noticeable. Americans are stubborn in some ways but very open
in another, we are often very wishy–washy. The modern culture can't seem to look down the line and

Growing up, I had no father to raise me, I was raised by a single mom and that had a major impact
on my life. I didn't want to keep on living because everything seemed pointless and I constantly felt
unwanted, useless, and worthless. Even though I wanted to, I couldn't tell my mother these
problems, seeing how she was already struggling trying to face many problems of her own.
To start with, my mother grew up without the help of anyone; her father was an alcoholic and her

After Peter and Lara Jean had broken up for a bit, the gang of their old neighborhood friends meet
up in a treehouse that is about to be cut down. During this meetup, Peter and Lara Jean get back
together. That is the end of the book. I feel like there really was no lead up to this part of the book, it
was very sudden. Compared to the rest of the book, which was gave me a good sense of why, I
didn't understand this part. Now the statement goes on to saying that Book Bruin was not happy
with the outcome, Lara Jean and Peter getting back together. Instead, they wanted her to choose
Mclaren. However, I think that the readers don't even know enough about him, only that he received
one of the love–letters Lara Jean wrote years ago by accident. Honestly he isn't memorable enough
of a character to be able to give the readers the same sense of connection that Peter gives. It wouldn't
have made any sense if she chose Mclaren in the end. Overall, there were some aspects of Book
Bruin's review that I agreed with. However, some of the statements and opinions made were more a
matter of taste and personal preference. P.S I Still Love You by Jenny Han is a story full of real–life

This is the story of my high school best friend and me, and how our lives took different paths
