A survey was conducted of 5th grade teachers and students to understand the effectiveness of learning with or without technology in the classroom. The survey was administered through a Google Form and included questions about student and teacher experiences with both independent and collaborative learning, as well as with novice and expert teachers and students. Feedback was provided to the researcher on adjusting some of the questions for 5th graders and avoiding complexity.
