The communication plan objectives starts with uniting stakeholders such as advisors and students to have an open space to communicate effectively. The focus of communication is to understand how to use the new school APP. In addition, the communication process will enable stakeholders to give and receive feedback. The goal is to have frequent and effective communication throughout the change process of engaging the new school APP.
The target audience includes advisors, students, and administration. The administration will be reviewing and supervising the change process. The advisors will be involved by offering their service as an advisor/mentor through use of the new APP. Students will be engaging the APP to connect with their personal advisor and receive assistance that way.
The procedures will be communicated mostly through the APP. However, there will be emails sent out weekly to keep stakeholders updated on any issues or changes. In addition, there will be a text forum for advisors and students to get common help on using the APP. With the organizational change taking place, being based on communication efforts between advisors and students. Communication is the goal of the change, so having effective communication during the change process will lead to a successful APP launch.
Communication will be conducted on an ongoing basis. There will be weekly emails that are informing of issues and changes. There will be surveys and feedback forums with emails and through the APP. Using the APP gives you 24/7 access to communicate. It is advised to respond within 24 hours of the original post. All advisors and students will be given a brochure that introduces and gives instructions on how to use the new APP. There will be a webinar to introduce the APP to participants.
When the time comes to evaluate the new APP there will be a review of the APP’s effectiveness. Asking questions like “Is the communication up between advisors and students compared to before the APP is launched” and “Is the APP user friendly”? Feed back will be taken in the forms of surveys, focus groups, and interviews. After all the data is collected it will be analyzed to see if the APP is achieving the goals of JJC’s new APP launch.
In conclusion there are main points that stand out. Launching the new APP is based on the communication of advisors and students. Communicating the change is essential for the change to be successful. Communication is the goal of the whole project. Feedback is key to the effectiveness of the APP. Lastly evaluation is needed to find how successful the APP is and to make decisions that may be needed.
