PMI Project 3- Spotify

Editor's Notes

  1. Hi everyone! Thank you all for coming in today! I was recently tasked with optimizing social engagement for our users. Our overarching themes include improving the mobile platform, personalize the user experience, and improve our content quality.
  2. Since our integration with Facebook in 2011, we’ve benefitted our users by providing them an easy way to sign up and use Spotify. This gave users an easy way to sign up and share music.
  3. With our customer base increasing, we have to focus more on retention rate to keep our users satisfied with the overall experience of Spotify.
  4. I focused on these two KPIs because they will impact our strategic planning for increasing social engagement on Spotify. 5% Increase in User Retention: 20% 25%
  5. Here at Spotify, we’ve really gone about customizing the user experience, and now we want to focus on personalizing their experience and make it engaging. Going into user research, I assumed that users did not have the necessary tools to have an optimal social experience on Spotify. I decided to test my assumption and get out of the building and get user feedback.
  6. Talk briefly about the features, then walk through invision for the demo. The solution: Spotify Interact. This new feature will not only make our mobile app more dynamic, but will make it more engaging and intuitive for users to navigate. Risks: Social features may not benefit user as intended Users do not want these features
  7. Goals- We want to improve the mobile platform, personalize the user experience, and improve our content quality. “I have previously discussed with UX and marketing about these initiatives.”

  9. Fun facts: Spring 2015, Spotify partnered with streaming music on the Playstation Network. -While running, Spotify detects your pace and suggests songs with a matching tempo.
