1. The sQR environment then, becomes a location-based mobile platform that
makes purchasing rewarding both to the consumer and reseller. By “scanning
in” via a smartphone app (QR reader), users share their experience (service)
and benefits (savings) with friends while collecting points and virtual badges.
sQR guides real-life experiences by allowing users to bookmark information
about business/venues that they want to visit and surfacing relevant
suggestions about nearby venues. Business/groups leverage the sQR platform
by utilising a wide set of tools to obtain, engage, and retain customers and
potentially audiences. This is achieved by each business creating QR (tags)
for as little or as many of their products they wish to provide information, this
can of course be used for services (ie “how to” videos which are launched on
the scan of a QR code) .. the main attraction for the customer though are
offers/coupons/vouchers which can be developed as often as the retailer
wishes. Secret vouchers “offer of the day” are created by each business to
encourage customers to scan the QR this in turn records their activity, the
process will take the customers device (mobile phone) browser to a coupon for
the offer of the day, the customer merely has to show the coupon at check out
to redeem.
Via geo-tagging and analytics technology built right into the architecture of the
app’ the environment can quickly and effectively record the customers location
which can be used to generate location based rewards - (ie upon 10 scans at
this location the user receives a discount coupon), in addition users who have
made the highest number of scans at a location will be given badges of
recognition.
Each scan with its Geotagged entry (location) will also generate a “drop pin” on
a map to visually display its location, this would produce a progressive map
which will not only show the locations where scans have been carried out but
also the volume displayed by “drop pin” sizing. Access to this information
would be via a web site. Mobile device access is also possible via an app’
where the user could view dropped pins “around me” (this is planned as a V2
development).
Scan ins will also be recorded to the users Facebook and Twitter accounts,
therefore their followers will be aware of the users purchase activity or rewards
generated and also a testimonial written will be displayed via a tweet or on the
users Facebook wall. Business owners will be encouraged to “friend” / Follow
their customers which will in turn build their social networks.

Create a voucher/discount incentive using prebuilt templates, offer text,
validity period, artwork can all be simply added in order to build a voucher
which when saved has a unique URL, a QR code is also constructed so that
when scanned the user is taken directly to the voucher. QR codes can also be
produced via the dashboard to support product info, by directing to existing
web pages for example or downloading of PDFs etc .. The really clever part is
that via the dashboard the business owner can change the destination of QR
scans, so therefore there is no need to reprint stationary when the offer
changes !
Measure campaign performance
Business owners can view scan activity for their own location(s) to monitor the
effectiveness of vouchers and also to help determine interest in products by
the volume of information accessed via QR. Also a league of users will
displayed showing scan ins etc.
As part of the registration process, the user will be asked for his eMail address,
this can then be used (permission granted during sign up) to drive certain offers
and promotions should the reseller be minded to do so .. once again the generic
mail will be via the dashboard, the “send to” address will not be visible to the
sender
