Lead the technical issues and give availability of engines with the best solution according to the customer
needs. Main responsibilities include:
• Implement engine maintenance and repair plans in the shop and in the field according with the engine
application, operation rate and engine technology.
• Carry out historic of oil analysis in order to predict and prevent the major engine failures.
• Analyze mode and root cause of failures and take actions to solve problems out of common.
• Prepare technical reports in order to document engine failures.
• Activities for mining support as new engine inspections, engine operation recommendations, solutions
to hard diagnosis failure for engines installed in hydraulic excavators Terex RH-200, Komatsu trucks
and front loaders WA1200.
• Supervise the technical solutions to the engine failures using the correct procedures, adequate tools
and the electronic tool INSITE (engine interface to electronic diagnosis) in order to solve the failures
with accuracy.
• Carry out a measurement system of service indicators as labor utilization, technical’s efficient,
productivity and others.
• Define training needed depending on business objectives and technical’s abilities.
• Establish communication and feedback with factory in order to be updated about engineering product
problems, temporary and definitive solutions.
• Lead technical meetings to inform the technical team about common failures, product problems and
their solutions.
