 Assists in any coding and billing project undertaken by the department.
 Utilizes 3M Coding System to assure accurate coding and reviews edits that require
correction or revision.
 Carries out the legal and ethical requirements to effectively discharge their obligations
to the hospital and adhere to State and Federal requirements.
 Responds and acts as a resource to other staff from Ancillary Departments as necessary.
 Answers telephone and retrieves medical records for stat requests as necessary.
 Attends seminars and meetings related to changes in ICD-9CM-10, CPT Coding
