Ensure all treatment requested by the physician has been scheduled and reschedule
appointments as necessary. Obtain, review and update, if necessary, medical records of
patients prior to an appointment. Assemble records in accordance with regulations. Insert
additional forms when necessary. File and scan results of laboratory tests, x-rays, and EKGs to
patients’ digital record (AHLTA).
Enter a variety of physician orders on various charts, identifying a variety of chemical
compounds, symbols, and abbreviations, comprising medical orders. Observe patients for
obvious signs of discomfort, illness, or stress, notifying professional staff of perceived
emergencies. Keep time and attendance records for the clinic.
Compile data for a variety of reports and prepare Releases of Information (ROI) for patients.
Provide clinic orientation to Red Cross volunteers, newly assigned personnel and other ancillary
service personnel. Maintain waiting room area in a neat and orderly manner. Resolve clinic
complaints of an administrative nature and refers all other complaints to the patients
representatives office or to the appropriate office where the issue can be resolved.
Operate an automated office information processing system, to produce, store and process
information material. Ensure correct format and grammar. Monitor and reply to messages on
Relay Health/Army Medicine Secure Messaging System (AMSMS) for patient requests to
schedule appointments, laboratory results, records, and referrals.
