What is the purpose of presenting? Who is your audience? What are the logistics of the presentation?
For the presentation: Topic Choice
What does my audience expect to gain? Try to select your topic
What do they already know? Challenge your own knowledge
What are my key points? Always narrow your topic
What materials do I need? If a repeated talk:

Work on sounding fresh, enthusiastic
Develop a Presentation Structure Introduction -> Central theme -> Discussion -> Conclusion
Consider a pre-introduction: to create ambience and tone also like pre-show entertainment/education
