1. Calibration Curve Workshop<br />In this experiment we learned the importance of using numeric information to interpret chemical characteristics in substances. This is one of the most common methods used in analytical chemistry. In this case, the numerical information will be interpreted by an instrument called the spec-20. This instrument will analyze the concentration of varies solutions and interpret them into results that we can understand. It functions with a beam of light that passes through the solution, and depending on the concentration of the solution the absorption level will vary. That is why the absorption is proportional to the concentration. After this data is recorded, a graph can be made based on it. This graph is going to be very important for the interpretation and analysis of the results. By using lineal regression , the scientist can observe the degree of error the experiment has.
