![Fourth Seminar Review:<br /> This seminar was one of my favorites because the theme was closely related with my concentration chemistry. Another coincidence was that the topic discuss was the same given to me in my preview classes of chemistry. This paper is trying to find in what position of the protein the production of the sec14 is the maximum. In other words, in what section of the protein the biological function are the most productive? To study this she use a technical known as Spin Label EPR. EPR means Electron Paramagnetic Resonance; this is a property of an electron that is not pair with another electron. When an electron is unpaired and is passing through a magnetic field the bean of electrons will separate. It is because of this separation that a peak occurs in the graphics of the magnetic fields. The sec 14 molecule is too unstable to study so the substitute it with a more stable molecule with the same qualities. This is important so that the results found can be compatible with the sec 14 molecule. The spin label is another important aspect; because the molecule under study doesn’t have an unpaired electron this spin label will make this possible so it can be analysis by the EPR. The spin label is attached to different positions in the protein. Each so the position is analysis is and the results are shown in the magnetic field graph.
