1. A game intended to practice (wh) question words + Past Simple and
holidays.
Activity 1: The students should be divided in groups of 4 or 5 people. The teacher
will give a flash card of a holiday to each team. They have to discuss about the
holiday to see what do they know about it. They’ll have to write 4 or 5 questions
and answers depending on the members of the team about the holiday. After
finishing the students will start the game.
Procedure: Each group gets a set of Wh-question words (where, when, who, what,
why, how). Place a chair in front of the board. After that one member of each time
will sit on a chair. Except a member of one team because he or she will have to
read at loud the answer and the other students will have to stick on the board the
(wh) flashcard and write the whole question. Whoever finishes first will win if it is
correct. The student who sits there has a chance to produce the whole question
and score 5 points. If the question is wrong, another group can give it a shot, but
this time it is worth 10 points.
