Race to the
Schoolhouse-
Introduction
This game is designed as a review of technical vocabulary terms
for a college level philosophy course in the philosophy of mind.
Two players will take turns answering questions defining
philosophical concepts, moving along a path toward a
schoolhouse icon. The first player to reach the schoolhouse is
the winner. The learning objective for the students/players is to
demonstrate knowledge of foundational terms in the
philosophy of mind.

Race to the
Schoolhouse- Rules1. Each player, starting with the blue figure (no.1), takes turns moving their figure (by
clicking the figure) to a box with a question and two possible answers. Click on the
question box to reveal the question.
2. Each player in turn will click on a possible answer. If the answer is correct the figure
will move to the next box and wait their turn to answer that question.
3. If the answer is incorrect he or she will wait until their next turn and click on the
other answer. Each player can only move to the next question by answering the
present question correctly.
4. Each player has a choice of paths- the easy path has four basic questions to answer;
the hard path has only three questions, but these questions are more difficult.
5. The first player to correctly answer the final question in their path and move to the
schoolhouse wins the game.
