When do we use these questions? <ul><li>These questions are used to gather information </li></ul><ul><li>Example: What is your name? </li></ul><ul><li>This question is asked at the beginning of a conversation when you are meeting someone new. </li></ul><ul><li>The speaker get their information by asking WH questions. </li></ul><ul><li>SO how do you know what WH question to use? </li></ul>

Answers! <ul><li>The man in the white coat is a dentist. </li></ul><ul><li>He is looking at the boys teeth. </li></ul><ul><li>They are in a dentist’s office. </li></ul><ul><li>You go to the dentist when your teeth bother you </li></ul><ul><li>He is at the dentist to have his teeth looked at. </li></ul><ul><li>This will be over when the dentist is finished cleaning. </li></ul>

How do I answer these questions? <ul><li>You answer these questions using the same verb! </li></ul><ul><li>Examples: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Where do you live ? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>I live in Carlstadt, NJ. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>What is today’s date ? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Today’s date is November 9th, 2011. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>How do you feel ? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>I feel great, thanks! </li></ul></ul></ul>
