2. Costumes
Chauffeur: I will need a hat, jacket, smart trousers and smart shoes.
Children : Average day to day children clothing for example. This
will be for Pete's kids downstairs.
3. Actors
My dad Steve
I will use him as he is an older male therefore being perfect for the part. It
shows that he has been in the job for a long time other than a young male
that I don’t feel would make the part as believable as it could be. He is
easily accessible therefore making is easier for me to use him when I need.
E.g. making corrections retaking a scene. He will always be available when
needed. Also using an older person like my dad is good as it is a significant
part of the opening and I need someone that I can be able to access all the
time.
Child 1
I will be using my sister as she is the only younger person I
would be able to find and use with permission to film. She
would also work best as she represents a child because she is
a child, which is perfect for my opening. This part in the
opening is not a hard part to act as she will only have a small
amount of dialog and will only be in one scene making it easy
for a younger person to remember.
4. Props
• Camera 700D – I will be using this camera as I find it is good quality and it has
video therefore being able to record my film opening.
• Spotlight lamp- I will need this to put in the class room to create moody lighting. It
will be facing up at the investigation board to highlight the main object on the
scene.
• String paper drawing pins – I will be using this to create the investigation board
making it look as real as possible.
• Knife – This will be in the draw with papers and will be the weapon Pete the
chauffeur will put in his coat jacket.
• Mobile phone – This will be the phone Pete talks on, to the unknown person.
• Draws – this is to keep the knife In . This will need to be near the investigation
board.
5. Locations
• School classroom. This will be in the majority of the opening. It will represent a
office. I will also use a classroom for the board that I can put the investigation on.
The boards are big therefore being able to fit all the pictures on. I will be able to
change the location as I don’t have to show what is outside the window and can
easily transfer from the school room to my house making it look like an office
within my own home.
• Stairs this will be in one shot. This will be in my house and will only be in the
opening for a short time. I have chosen this to create a low angle shot looking up
the stairs to Pete at the top on his phone.
• Outside house this will be in one shot. This location will be used in the last shot
to make sure the audience knows Pete is going to proceed with the murder. This
is also where the opening will end therefore leaving the audience in suspense.
• Lounge. This will be in one shot where the family will be. I have chosen a lounge
because It is a place where most families would be and I can get a wide angle
shot and get everyone in because of the large space.
