History lessons should not be banned from school curriculums for several key reasons:
1) Studying history helps students better understand how past systems, ideologies, governments and technologies developed over time and how their present reality came to be. It also helps avoid repeating past mistakes.
2) The past is filled with warning signs - learning about historical events allows people to reflect on what led up to them, learn from mistakes, and recognize potentially dangerous patterns that could be emerging.
3) While some argue more time should be spent on subjects like math, language, and technology, eliminating history risks society not learning from the past and potentially leading to racism or other unhealthy outcomes. Overall, the benefits of teaching

2. A: Affirmative Speech
Definition of the Topic: History lessons involve the study of the past. History is an umbrella term that relates to past events as
well as the memory, discovery, collection, organization, presentation, and interpretation of information about these events.
When talking about banning it in schools, we refer to excluding it from the educational curriculum.
1st Argument supporting the topic: By being taught, children often get bored because they believe that nothing
of all those information will be important for their future. Also, they believe that it is a waste of time.
Example supporting the topic: Some students are more interested in future technologies than in something that
happened in the past. Students find it useless to learn what happened a thousand years ago, so they prefer to focus on
their main subjects at school.
Result: As a consequence, students have no interest in history.
Conclusion: For this reason, history lessons should be banned.
3. B: Negative Speech
Rebuttal of the 1st Argument supporting the topic: we see what you talking about, but we don´t agree with you.
1st Argument against the topic : Our first argument against this topic is that ,through history we can learn how past
systems, ideologies, governments, cultures and technologies were built and how they have changed.
1st Example against the topic: For instance, the rich history of the world helps us to paint a detailed picture of
where we stand today. Also, history help us avoid doing the same mistakes.
Result: Students may understand better their own reality by learning history and, therefore, settling their background.
Conclusion: To conclude, history lessons should continue in all schools.
4. C: Affirmative Speech
Rebuttal of the first argument against the topic: You have a point, but history is full of frauds and violence so it could be a bad
example for students.
2nd Argument supporting the topic: Continuing with our second argument, I would like to stress out that the history
lessons should be banned because children will have more time to concentrate on more important subjects like maths,
language and mostly in our days, technology for example.
2nd Example supporting the topic: For instance, the academical subject helps us in everyday life because
we have the knowledge to recognize the history of places and things around the world, thing that broadens our horizons.
Result: As a result, children believe that none of this information will be important for their future.
Conclusion: Most jobs these days are related to technology, not history. History lessons are unnecessary. Better to
replace them with IT which is in fact the future and will be useful. So, history lessons should be banned.
5. D: Negative Speech
Rebuttal of the 2nd Argument supporting the topic: This might be partly true, but we don´t agree with you. Because history
2nd Argument against the topic: Our second argument against this topic, is that the past is filled with warning signs.
We must be able to reflect on the events that built up to them, learn from mistakes made and resist and question
if we see similar patterns emerging, that is why history should be a school lesson
2nd Example against the topic: An example to support our argument is that history classes "lead to white orivilege and racist
society" and should be stopped in schools, history leads to racism.
Result: In this way , history leads to racism and made people to not see clear and do unhealthy things
Conclusion: Therefore, all things considered, history lessons should definitely not be banned .
