2. A: Affirmative Speech
Definition of the Topic: When we refer to modern apps, we mean social media and
generally any kind of developed technology which is provided in public
1st Argument supporting the topic: Our first argument is that modern apps are the best option for teens,
because they spend every minute on phone or computer. On our phones we have a chat with our friends,
family we are ordering food, or we play a games in the free time.
Example supporting the topic: For example, we can make an easy quiz about counties where we live for us
or for our friends in Kahoot and have fun from learning.
Result: As a result, we learn from the quizzes we participate in we learn a lot of new stuff we didn't know about some
things we are interested in, such as the cultural heritage of other countries.
Conclusion: For this reason, we think that using technology is good because you can learn so many new things and discover
new places you have never seen before.
3. B: Negative Speech
Rebuttal of the 1st Argument supporting the topic: As a team, we are inclined to believe that apps is the best option for
teenagers, but older people aren't that efficient like the younger ones.
1st Argument against the topic : Our first argument against this topic is that not all devices support all apps due to
technical specifications.
1st Example against the topic: For instance, older devices can't run newer apps because they are old to run them.
Result: Consequently, even if you own one of the latest variations of a device such as a smartphone or a laptop you can use
those apps, but those devices are quite expensive, so they are hard to buy.
Conclusion: For this reason, it is both hard and expensive to buy a device which can run a modern app.
4. C: Affirmative Speech
Rebuttal of the first argument against the topic: I see what you mean, but nowadays being able to afford one of the latest
devices is getting easier every day.
2nd Argument supporting the topic: Moving on to my second argument, I want to emphasize on the fact that it is a good
option for people so that they're modernized and for disabled people due to the fact they can't go everywhere. The
application as YouTube, Facebook or Instagram, give an option to discover places, meet new people and learn new things.
2nd Example supporting the topic: For instance, when people are looking on Instagram for no reason, they can learn
something about their country, see monuments or nice places in their countries. On YouTube many videos show facts about
a lot of countries or maybe some people share their experience about it. We can learn a lot from only watching someone
trip.
Result: As a result, most people can commute a boring scrolling to getting an experience of foreign cities or nations. We
don't need to go abroad to get to know something interesting and educate.
Conclusion: So, most people could spend their time online learning information about other countries cultures and
generally their cultural heritage.
5. D: Negative Speech
Rebuttal of the 2st Argument supporting the topic: I see what you mean, but people are lazy and when they opens Instagram
They don't use it to get knowledge but to see private life or friends and celebrities. Most of them want to watch funny cats
more than historic movies.
2nd Argument against the topic: My second argument against this topic, is modern apps disturb our focus,
we're getting dumber because we don't pay attention to school, and we're just stop studying by the time.
2nd Example against the topic: For instance, when a student is studying and his or her phone has a notification usually, they
would stop studying and check what the notification is about.
Result: In this way, we have a lot of ways to online learning about cultural heritage in other nations, but people don’t want to
do this. They have a lot of things to do, and they leave learning behind ant focus of their problems.
Conclusion: Therefore, students shouldn't have their phones close to them when they study since their phones disturb
them when they are studying.
