My Memories
1. My Memories
Every night I'm haunted by my worst memory/memories. I've been haunted by them for a year and
six months. My past ruined me, a relationship ruined me that I stayed in for too long. I was
emotionally and physically abused. I'll hopefully get over it one day eventually, I'm hoping coming
out and telling of it will help me get closure and lose the memory of him. I put everything on the
line to be with him, I snuck out, I lied, I ruined my relationship with my parents and many other
things. I snuck out every weekend to be with him and it ruined me. Repeatedly I was called stupid, a
dumba** and multiple other things that hurt a young girls feelings. And I still stayed with him
because I thought I loved him. When he hurt me physically I asked him to stop, and he did, but only
for a few days. My nightmares are one night in particular. We were standing in the garage while he
was smoking a cigarette then I asked him to stop his smoking habits, and he got defensive, we
started arguing then he got physical with me. He started pushing me and I kept backing up, then he
pushed me while I was backing away from him which caused me to lose my balance and I fell
backwards onto the garage floor. He then proceeded to kick me yelling at me to get up, I screamed
at him to stop and when he did I got up. He then hugged me and said he was sorry and that he would
make it up to me one day. Well, he did make it up to me. The next day I received flowers and my

2. A Brief Note On Third Party Delivery Services Essay
Third–Party Delivery Services Third–party services are increasing nationally, regionally and locally
to provide restaurateurs with an array of delivery options. Managing the delivery logistics is often
challenging for restaurants that would prefer concentrating on food preparation. The good news is
that you don 't have to buy a delivery vehicle, train drivers and deal with delivery issues if you
outsource your deliveries. The major players nationally are currently in a major expansion phase,
and many national delivery services are merging. You can choose from these major providers or
local services that might offer better terms and more personalized service. However, you should be
aware that many of these local services might be speculative in nature and hoping to sell out to one
of the major services. Some of the major national delivery services include GrubHub Seamless,
Postmates, Caviar, Dashed, Eat24, Takeout Taxi and Amazon. GrubHub Seamless GrubHub
Seamless has merged with other delivery services to become a commanding leader among restaurant
delivery services. Restaurants only pay for orders that the site generates for them. The company
currently delivers for more than 20,000 restaurants in 500 U.S. cities. Recently acquiring Boston–
based DiningIn and a California delivery service called Restaurants on the Run, GrubHub continues
its march to dominate the delivery market. However, Amazon 's decision to enter the market should
keep the industry competitive.

3. I Can Not Control The World
I am the type of person who likes to be in control. I was self–centered and felt the world should
revolve around me and my family which consists of my husband, Vince, and our boys, Cody and
Kyle. In 2008, I learned that I cannot control the world around me; there is a higher being for that,
and to cherish every moment I have with the people I love the most.
This story starts in 2000 when my husband received a job machining race motors in Mooresville,
North Carolina. This is 20 miles north of Charlotte and is considered part of NASCAR country. My
family and I packed up our belongings and moved on to a new adventure, leaving the rest of our
family behind. We finally arrived in November of 2000 and I was just amazed at the fall ... Show

My favorite part of North Carolina were the azalea bushes. The bushes were in just about every yard
and the colors were beautiful with blooms that totally covered the bush with hot pink, light pink, and
white. The way the bushes were shaped and the colors reminded me of gumballs.
Then my world came crashing down. My husband and I were watching TV one evening when he
turned to me and said, "I want to move back to Texas."
"What for?" I asked. "I'm home sick. I want to be closer to my mom and to take care of her since
Bert has passed away she is by herself now." He said.
I was shocked. I said, "No! I love it here."
Vince looked exasperated with me and said, "Don't you want to be closer to your mom? She is not
getting any younger either."
I told him, "My mom is just fine. She can take care of herself."
I know that sounds harsh, but my mom and I are and have always been extremely close. At the time
she was living in Bryan–College Station and working for Texas A&M. She would come down a
couple times a year to spend time with us and we would take a whole day and go shopping, or I
would take her to a quaint little town to explore their downtown. On the way to where ever we were
going, we would talk about every subject under the sun. There were times when we were so
engrossed in our conversations that we would wind up getting lost. Mom is a great listener and a
wonderful grandma. I want to be a grandma

4. Essay on History of Chemistry through the Ages
The history of chemistry dates back to the time of ancient history to now. Ancient civilizations used
technologies that would eventually form the basis of the various branches of chemistry by 1000 BC.
For example, they were extracting chemicals from plants to make medicines. The history of
chemistry is intertwined with the history of thermodynamics. Chemistry is very important to our
world today. Without it, we wouldn't be near as advanced as we are. Let's take scientists for
example. The scientists at St. Jude children's research hospital; everyday they are working to find
the cure to various types of cancer by mixing different chemicals and making various compounds to
somehow help all the children with the big C word today. Chemistry ... Show more content on

Like I said, without oxygen, no one would be here right now. The sun is a natural resource as well.
The sun is the Earth's main source of energy. Chemistry has a big affect on society today. We do
have cell phones. Internet and the space race did happen, so therefor I am typing this chemistry
paper right now. We have medicines and vaccines out there that allow people to live longer lives if a
sickness occurs. Cell phones are one of the biggest advances from chemistry in my mind. They
allow us with much easier and faster communication with the people around us or even on the other
side of the
world. Satellite TV is another big advancement of chemistry. TV provides us with entertainment and
alerts. Technologies today are so advanced it is crazy to think about what life would have been like
without these things. Selfish of me to say, I am glad I did not have to live back in the times without
advanced technologies like there is today. Technology is affecting society today. Teen's without their
cell phone is like chemistry without the periodic table of the elements. Little kids and their video
games have become the main focus point. What new big thing is coming out? That is all people
seem to care about anymore. Technology has ruined our society, not saying that it isn't just
wonderful, but it has destroyed our generation. We get to greedy to get the latest hottest technology

5. A Reflection On My Life
So much of my life is built around distracting from my endometriosis pain. I watch TV or listen to
music while reading. If I engage my mind enough then I can ignore the pain. It is only partially
successful.
I realized, as I walked to the library, that distraction is how I've always gotten through exercise. I
don't like to sweat. It is uncomfortable, although I am working on that distaste. Exercise has always
caused pain in my ankles and I've never been good at it. Today, I walked in the heat as fast as I could
manage to the beat of my Lady Gaga Pandora channel. I used the beat of Pitbull's Shake Senora to
move faster and faster. By the time I made it to the library I was dripping with sweat and my pants
were sticking to me. If there were such a thing as tiny men, they could have slid down my cleavage
like a slip and slide.
This is in total contrast to my yoga experience. Every move in yoga has to be thoughtfully carried
out. For one, my balance, as it stands, is horrible. Some of the poses require me to be on one foot or
one knee. I have trouble with standing on two feet or balancing on both knees. I am learning and
practicing over and over, but I seriously have to concentrate. I have to feel every part of my body
and muscles I didn't know existed. Normally when exercising, I would try to ignore pain in my
muscles or work through it, using the adage "no pain, no gain" or more likely I'd give up. With yoga,
if there is pain–I am doing something wrong. Not only do I have to

6. Essay Women Redefining Sexual Identity in Middle Adulthood
The Impact of Women Redefining Sexual Identity in Middle Adulthood
It is becoming an increasing phenomenon that women are coming out as lesbians in their middle–
adulthood. While defining one's sexual identity is often a confusing time for youth it becomes that
much more difficult for women as they get older. As women age they are more likely to get married,
have children, begin careers, and settle into a lifestyle that is dictated to them by patriarchal rules.
The further they become saturated with the male dominated life, the harder it is for women to
become open to their own identity formation and needs. It is instilled in women from an early age
that it is expected that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Because the coming out process is often a lengthy process, the identity formation stage is prolonged
from adolescence and young adulthood. Sexual identity occurs through dynamics of social
interaction and can change at any stage of the life cycle. Since most social interaction occurs
following a male to female model, engaging in a
p. 3 first sexual experience or even recognizing an interest in the opposite sex may take a number of
years (Richardson & Hurt 1981 as cited in Rust, p. 50). This is in fact true, if you think about it.
Little girls are bought dolls and tea sets and easy bake ovens so that they can imitate their mothers'
behavior. Little girls learn to cook and clean and are told early on that one day they will marry a
handsome man and have lots of babies. We are taught gender specific roles from the day we are
born.
Women don't usually have same sex experiences until they are twenty– three or twenty– four and
women are pushed to marry by the time they are twenty or twenty–one. If a woman marries at that
age it decreases the chance of completion of identifying sexually as a lesbian (Swan, 1997).
It is ingrained in our heads

7. Challenges And Choices That We Make Us Grow As A Person
Obstacles in life are really challenges and choices that we make, placed there to help us grow as a
person. The obstacles, and how you deal with them, help to mold and shape character, then go on to
help others with their obstacles. I have faced some difficult struggles, which have portrayed clearly
that although sometimes one may feel alone, Hashem is always with you throughout every obstacle
you may tackle. These challenges are what make us stronger in the bitachon and emunah in Hashem.
When we attack an obstacle, we're prepared for other challenges that come our way in the future.

although in the tone of her voice I can sense the tough time she was having, that my great
grandfather had unfortunately passed away. I felt my heart swell with a sea of tears, How can this

I'm an outcast. I knew I was an outcast ever since I looked at my best friend and I thought "wow, I
would date her." And it wasn't like "wow, if I was gay I would date her," it was "I would date her in
a heartbeat." These thoughts led me to discover that I, Elysia Wright, youngest in a family of 7 other
half– and step–siblings, the only daughter my mum has ever had, was completely and utterly
bisexual. Now, it wasn't a snap decision. I've had years to stew in my thoughts to confirm that yes, I
am bisexual. There was just one problem. By October 11th, 2015, everyone knew of my sexuality.
Everyone, that is, except my mum. My mum, who I have long been close to, who I have known
longer than anyone in the world, was completely unaware of her daughter's attraction to people of
the same gender. To tell the truth, I wasn't entirely sure why I hadn't told her. It's not like she would
snap at me – heck, she's always supported me – but there was something holding me back, some
deep–rooted fear, some monster under my bed that whispered bitter lies in my ear and told me that
everything would not be okay, that I would not be okay, and for some stupid reason I listened to it. I
couldn't put this off forever. I knew that. What was I going to do, introduce my mum to my
girlfriend on our wedding day? Though the prospect was amusing, I knew I wouldn't be able to wait
that long. I knew that it was time for me to be an outcast. October 11th, 2015. I mentioned this date

9. Fiscal Policy, Crowding out, Supply-side, Economics
Economics Assignment #2
Question I. Fiscal Policy and the Crowding Out Effect.
(a) What is the essence of the accounting identity (the so called saving investment identity) that the
two distinguished professors refer to?
Saving investment identity is a concept in National Income accounting that states that the amount
saved (S) in an economy is equal to the amount invested (I). It is an equilibrium expressed in terms
of supply (S), and demand (I), for lending (loan–able funds). Sp (Private Saving) + Sg or (T–G)
(Government Saving or Budget Balance) = I.
The authors are assuming full employment, where S=I.
The saving "identity" where S=I holds true by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Again, they are assuming the economy is at full employment or full potential when in fact, we are
below full employment. Therefore the savings investment identity does not prove anything about the
effectiveness of fiscal policy. Fiscal policy is a completely valid and effective method to expand the
economy and move towards full employment. Fiscal policy can raise GDP, create jobs, increase
income, etc... which is very beneficial. How can these professors be so ignorant of the full picture?
They are not taking all the proper details into account it's very surprising.
Again, we are in a recession, this allows GDP to rise. An increase in G, increases GDP, which
increases S. Therefore the actual degree at which interest rates rise and investments fall is not in line
with what the professors think. They're off. They have not accounted for the rise in GDP and have
mistakenly assumed full employment and 100% crowding out effect when this is clearly not the case
in a recession.
An example from the text that illustrates the flaw in their argument:
"In the case of [government] infrastructure spending, MPKf rises, so investment increases. Saving
shifts and investment shifts. With upward shifts in both saving and investment, the new equilibrium

10. My Best Days Of My Life
Wednesday, December 16th, or as I like to call it, one of the best days of my life. Is it cliché to call
my first concert experience one of the best days of my life? Probably. But it was just such a surreal
experience. I went to go see The 1975 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, California. My best friend
knew that I had never been to a concert before, so on my Birthday she gave me tickets to go see The
1975 as a gift. I had been looking forward to the concert for months, and when the day finally came,
I felt both nervous and excited to go see one of my favorite bands. The 1975 is an alternative
rock/indie rock/pop music band who I had heard of due to another band that decided to cover one of
their songs. The first song I heard was called "Medicine." It was two in the morning and I was
driving to Arizona. Such a beautiful song, something about it was almost therapeutic for me. I fell in
love with it instantly. After my trip to Arizona, I finally had time to do my research. I listened to The
1975's entire discography and they immediately became one of my favorite bands. I was glad that
The 1975 would be my first concert experience ever.
It was a cold Wednesday morning, I woke up at around six and waited for my friends to pick me up
so we could go eat breakfast at IHOP before we made our way to Los Angeles. Upon arrival we
decided to make a few stops before heading to the venue. We decided to do some shopping at The
Grove. Being the huge book nerd that I am, I of course had to

I knew he would rush over because we came up with a password to warn each other of something
important without alarming the children. He bent down next to me. I pointed at the things under the

12. My Very Good Friend From High School, Maeleigh, And Her...
I interviewed my very good friend from high school, Maeleigh, and her recent girlfriend, Anna.
Maeleigh and Anna have completely different "coming out" stories at this point in their lives.
Growing up with Maeleigh, I was able to see how her life was affected by being gay. I know more
about her lifestyle and story than most would and it was difficult for her to figure herself out. Mae
was very confused and distraught as she got older and she started to realize she was not the so called
"normal" little girl. She had to learn to except herself before she could tell anyone or most
importantly come out to her parents. As for Anna, I have no personal ties to her. Maeleigh met Anna
this year at school; they both attend Manchester University and play on the softball team. They
eventually got together and developed a relationship. Everything between the two is new and they
are learning more about each others stories and how they dealt with coming out. Coming out is one
of the most difficult aspects of being a lesbian. They have spent an extreme amount of time playing
out in their minds how to tell this news to their parents. The scariest part, both have said, would
have to be the thought of being rejected by their families. Maeleigh had known she was different
from everyone since she was in 5th grade. She began to find herself having crushes on girls rather
than boys. She said in 5th grade she was terrified, not knowing why she felt this way. Not knowing
the reasons why she felt

15. The City By Armistead Maupin
The San Francisco of the 1970s is a city immersed in the counterculture movement: It encouraged
experimentation and tolerance for unconventional behavior, vices and eccentric politics. The culture
rejected the principles of mainstream society and espoused living for one's self. This philosophy of
life attracted people from all over the United States to travel westwards to San Francisco. The
promise of the counterculture fascinated people who were not satisfied with their current lifestyles.
They came to the city in the hopes of reinventing themselves. Individuals sought to scape their past
routines, to get away from the people and societies that burdened them. In the bohemian city, they
aspired to find a place to belong. The characters in Tales of the City, by Armistead Maupin, convey
these desires and frustrations in members of all social classes. The novel reveals the consequences
that come with reinvention. As portrayed by Maupin, San Francisco signifies both a chance for
liberation, and a life beset by secrets, whereby individuals are often haunted by their pasts. San
Francisco's culture allows for greater freedom, in part due to its sexual and gay liberation. In the
midst of the counterculture and the hippie movement, San Francisco becomes a city that is more
accepting of queer, unconventional behavior. Gays and lesbians come with the hope to live openly
as homosexuals. Michael Tolliver exemplifies this desire. He is a young gay man who leaves Florida

Diamond Darlings by complete accident. After seeing what they do for both the baseball team and
growing as friends, I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be.
I grew up in a small town that was very baseball oriented. Everyone in Farmington lived and
breathed baseball, as did my family. I played softball for 5 years and both of my brothers dedicated
their time to the sport. The best way to show how dedicated the town was, my youngest brother
Coby was actually playing on three different teams when we was nine years old.
Besides a town that loves to play the sport, Farmington is the host to a fairly well known high school

18. The Catcher in the Rye vs. Looking For Alaska
Looking For Alaska vs. The Catcher in the Rye Many parallels can be drawn between the main
protagonists in John Green's Looking for Alaska, and J.D. Salinger's Catcher in the Rye. Although
these two coming of age novels differ greatly in setting and in circumstance, many of the broader,
more fundamental themes in each are actually quite similar. John Green was very much influenced
by J.D. Salinger, and even admitted that Miles "Pudge" Halter in Looking For Alaska, was based
largely off of Holden Caulfield, the main character in Catcher in the Rye. In reading the two books,
this statement becomes less and less difficult to believe as we see ignorance, rebellion against

In a conversation with her after she passes, he says, "You can't just make me different then leave.
(...) Because I was fine before, Alaska. I was fine with just me and last words and school friends,
and you can't just make me different and then die." (Looking For Alaska, p. 172). It's interesting that
Miles seems to personify Alaska throughout the rest of the book after she's dead, much like Holden
does in The Catcher in the Rye. Although the reader never meets Holden's little brother, Allie
Caulfield, we sure do hear a lot about him throughout the book. He died of leukemia on July 18,
1946, when he was eleven and Holden was thirteen. He describes the dark memory to the reader by
saying, "I was only thirteen, and they were going to have me psychoanalyzed and all, because I
broke all the goddam windows in the garage. I don't blame them. I really don't. I slept in the garage
the night he died, and I broke all the goddam windows with my fist just for the hell of it." (The
Catcher in the Rye, p. 50). It's clear that Holden and Miles have in common that they can't just move
on when dealing with a death, but they have to heal and take their time to work it out. Holden and
Miles both individually deal with isolation in their respective circumstances, Miles experiences it
post Alaska Young's sudden death, and Holden goes through it merely being on his own. Some time

Chapter Eleven "All these words are just a front. What I would really like to do is chain you to my

perfect day to return home. Dylan felt awful slipping out of Salim's cabin. He was working on his
papers–Dylan didn't know what exactly, but he was busy writing lists, referring to others, and
generally working. There were the usual thirty or so men on the deck looking to their individual
jobs, whether it was seeing to the repair of fishing nets, scrubbing the deck, or winding rope. Dylan
stood watching them for some time, each man moving about industriously under the watchful eye of
the captain's first–mate, Ibrahim. Dylan made his way back to the stern of the ship. He stood looking
out at the churning gray–green ocean below. It did not look enticing. In fact, it looked damned cold,

change his mind, threw himself overboard. He hit the water with a huge splash. It wasn't a graceful

20. The Batman, By Hannah Pamplico Raiders
The 2014 Hannah–Pamplico Raiders although, they battled much adversity, came out to be one of
the greatest teams to wear a Raider uniform. From winning a great season opener, and then going on
a horrific losing streak. Also dealing with the death of a teammate's brother, battled threw to win the
region championship. The 2014 Raiders defined what it meant to become a team and that if you
keep your faith high then you can achieve any goal.
In the summer of 2014, The Hannah–Pamplico raiders, coming off a dismantling 0–10 season have
got there 3rd head coach in less than four years. Some of the players excited, others a little unsure
about what he will bring. His name, Al Calcutt he comes from the powerhouse of Cavers Bay. With
state championships and head coaching experience, looks like a great fit to turn the Raiders around.
The Raiders finish the summer workouts and are looking to the first game against Green Sea Floyds.
The Raiders playing with a huge chip on their shoulders are anxiously waiting for the start of a new
year. They travel down to the Trojans stadium and get ready to play the season opener. As the first

23. A Rose For Emily By William Faulkner
" A Rose For Emily" Character Analysis Stubborn and a bit unstable, Emily Grierson is the main
character of William Faulkner's "A Rose For Emily ". Emily is a prime example of a flat character
because she seldom changes throughout the whole story. Emily acts as if nothing has changed over
the years. In the town of Jefferson, It's as if time went to a stood still. She shows this flat affect
throughout the story in many instances. For example, like her refusing to pay her taxes, not keeping
up with the maintenance of her father's home after his passing. So much so that the home was
referred to as "an eyesore among eyesores, still standing among the cotton wagons and gasoline
pumps (Faulkner, p. 121). Emily was a very stubborn and hard headed woman throughout the story.
In the beginning of the story, Emily was a young lady who lived at home with her father. He had no
intentions of allowing any man to marry his daughter so any man who ever came to the house to call
upon his daughter was ran off before they could even get one foot onto the porch. Emily's father
later passes away but because she has no one else, she held onto her father's body for fear of being
alone once she let him go. After three days of holding on, she finally allowed her father's body to go
out for burial. After her father's passing, Emily refused to pay any taxes on the home, even when
approached by the new city officials. Many years later, in her home, she told them, "See Colonel

24. Discrimination In Sport
In the discussion of discrimination, labelling and stigma, there is the possibility that they can cause
an impact on service users such as, sports client and even sports participants. One must also
acknowledge that all three terms overlap but must be kept apart from each other. Major features that
have been discussed within this essay and how they could affect current and future sports clients.
Discrimination Is a sensitive topic that can defined as many different things and a great example of
that is how diverse the actual definition is. For instance, Sunstein (Mark Butler 2016, p25) has
defined discrimination in three ways, "an incorrect view that groups possess particular
characteristics; that the vast majority of persons within that group have these characteristics when in
reality only a few of them do; and a reliance on fairly accurate group–based generalisations coupled
with a failure to utilise more accurate classifying devices that are available ".whereas Wouter
Vandenhole has a different opinion when it comes to a definition for discrimination. (Wouter
Vandenhole 2005 p33) has his own view on discrimination for example he quotes, 'there is no
universally accepted definition of discrimination or equality " with this being said we can come to

Sports such as figure skating require the performers to lift and do aerial acrobatics on ice with
another person. Due to the weight factors, some women may feel discriminated because they are not
a certain weight requirement that is preferred for figure ice skating. This often can cause many other
mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and even obesity. This type of discrimination can
also be described as labelling because of the assumption that a figure ice skater of a different size
cannot perform effectively is a form of labelling and

25. Youth Groups As A Discourse Community
Youth Groups as a discourse community The only people who go to youth groups are the perfect
kids who never do anything wrong, go to church every week, talk about God and about what is
going on in their lives. This was my speculation before attending Pinion Hills Community Church in
Farmington, New Mexico. Many people believe this to be a stereotype but my guess is that it is
anything but the truth. Pinion Hills is a non–denominational church with a youth group that takes
place on Saturdays at five thirty in the afternoon and then again on Sundays at nine thirty in the
morning. I chose to attend the Saturday youth group with my roommate who has attended the youth
group for a little over a year now.
Christianity began over 2000 years ago with Jesus Christ and his disciples. Jesus would travel
around the village's preaching religion and teaching people the will of God. Jesus would eventually
die for the sins of man but three days later he would be resurrected and give hope to the world. Jesus
became known as the Messiah for the Christian religion as well as the teacher of God. People today
continue to tell his stories and worship him still to this day. There are various ways that people come
together to worship and praise God. One way would be the getting together of youth groups since it
allows the youth to learn about God in a more modern and fun way.
METHODS
There are many different ways that I went about collecting my information and data on youth
groups. Interviews

26. Why Should We Make Decisions On Experiences That They...
able to make decisions on experiences that they themselves could not understand. This really raised
a lot of questions to me about who is in power and how big of a problem it is the those in power are
not more diverse. We have struggled in society and have "imprisoned so many behind stone walls of
racism, sexism, and homophobia" (Rudacille 140).
It also raised awareness that the very same acts done by heterosexual couples were acceptable, and
not punishable in the confines of the home, but that gays were not even safe in private. After the
decision in Lawrence v Texas made by the U.S. Supreme Court, it was understood that the gay
community had a chance to move forward into the light even more, and that their fight for freedom
would not disappear. By declaring that it is unconstitutional to make arrests against gays in the
home, it also declared that homosexuals should have the same rights as everyone else. It made it
more acceptable and brought homosexuality into the light to where it was okay to talk about and
dispute. Not only was it just "an invasion of liberty, as the Court thought", but also the case enforced
a bad law, a Homosexual Status Law, which made being gay a crime.
In writing this paper, I went back to the very beginning of our discussions, and looked at my very
first discussion post on the Stonewall Uprising. I realized, that while we did do a lot of court case
focused work, that I still learned a lot even outside of these cases. I wanted to post both my

Within the 1990s there is a persistent problem of Gay culture. Early in the 1990s it was hard to come
out and let the world know that you are gay. Within the early 1990s The Wedding Banquet (1993),
although it approached the issue of Wei–Tung Gao trying to tell his parents that he is gay and still
accepting as who he is. Contrastingly within the late 1990s it becomes more acceptable to society by
having celebrities coming out like Ellen Degeneres during her tv show Ellen. The two kinds of

struggle to hide the cruel fact for his parents by "coming out to family of [heterosexuality] is

the film the narrative plot and structure revolves and we can slowly see the mental breakdown Wei–
Tung has with the relationship with his partner Simon, Wei–Wei and his parents. Historically this
can be understood as problematic as coming out and that it was hard to face others especially one's
own parents. This is shown that within the early 1990s it was hard to face the public because of the
treatment and dislike within the community. During the opening sequences of the film we can see
Simon taking out the trash and his friend shows up pretending to disrespect and insult Simon by

29. Observation Of A Club : A Personal Analysis Of The Drama Club
Someone is standing in front of a group of people, coming up with lines on the spot. They look at
the crowd and the crowd is clearly cheering them on to continue. Their partner says a funny line and
they choke up because they can not come up with a way to respond. Somewhere behind them,
someone says freeze. They both freeze. The person who hesitated to responded gets tagged out.
Then the new person starts a new scene in a completely different place. This is Drama Club. Drama
Club is a club people enjoy because of, the people, the activities, and the things that come in
addition to the club.
To begin with, the people in Drama Club are a reason people enjoy it. For example, there are people
at Drama Club who are friends with each other. What I mean by this, is that people there are a lot of
people at Drama Club and one of them is bound to be another person's friend. In addition, most
people at Drama Club are willing to be everyone else's, or most people there's friend. Equally as
important, the people at Drama Club are generally nice. What I mean by this, the people there do not
judge you no matter how bad you did on stage. Also, the people there have your back if you do mess
up, they could either take the spotlight off you or even go along with your mistake and make it look
like it was on purpose. To conclude, students enjoy Drama Club because of the people.
Similarly, students enjoy Drama Club because of the activities. For example, the games. What I

30. Why Were Jews Singled Out?
Why were the Jews singled out? It's difficult to imagine a society where millions upon millions are
murdered because of their religion and race. According to A Teacher's Guide to the Holocaust
"Approximately 11 million people were killed because of Nazi genocidal policy" ("Victims"). Not
only did they get killed because they were Jews. Some people were undesirable by Nazi standards
because of who they were their genetic or cultural origins, or health conditions. These included
Jews, Gypsies, Poles and other Slavs, and people with physical or mental disabilities. Others were
Nazi victims because of what they did. These victims of the Nazi regime included Jehovah's
Witnesses, homosexuals, the dissenting clergy, Communists, Socialists, a socials, and other political
enemies" (victims"). They didn't consider Jews as a race they consider it as a religion. According to
the Jewish virtual library "Hitler focused his propaganda against the Versailles Treaty, the
"November criminals," the Marxists and the visible, internal enemy No. 1, the "Jew," who was
responsible for all Germany's domestic problems. In the twenty–five–point programme of the
NSDAP announced on 24 February 1920, the exclusion of the Jews from the Volk community, the
myth of Aryan race supremacy and extreme nationalism were combined with "socialistic" ideas of

In Alexie's essay "Indian Education", he talks about "hearing voices from the girls' bathroom,
nervous whispers of anorexia and bulimia" which rings so clear to me. I know he sees it at self–pity
due to his upbringing and starvation not being a choice, but I also see it as a way to gain some sort
of control in the midst of complete chaos. I understand his thoughts about it and why he says, "there
is more than one way to starve." So many families starve by unfair circumstances which saddens my
heart, but some of us starve ourselves for other unfortunate reasons. In my experience, I could not
control what was going on around me and this was a way to gain some type of grasp on something
in my life. Another reason for choosing to starve myself was being made fun of for not being a stick
figure like everyone else. Regardless of what the reasons may be, it can be devastating to the mind
until we fight our way back to some type of normalcy. I became anorexic at the age of 13. I lived in
an abusive home with my father whose life was consumed with alcohol and drugs, and a mom who
struggled to fight her way out. I have two sisters. I was the middle child and constantly begged and
searched for the approval of my dad. I never really accomplished it, but I didn't stop trying. I had
meat on my bones, but was not overweight by any means. I was 13 and weighed about 110 pounds.

In the statement on mob – mentality by Nina Munteanu, mob – mentality is when one individual
takes fear and uses it to their advantage. They are the ones that are responsible for controlling how
others act within the mob. People in the mob also become someone other than themselves. It is as if
they are temporarily insane, not thinking straight. A mob – mentality is when the people within the
mob come up with their on desired form of justice. I agree with Nina, when she says if you allow the
mob to happen, you are allowing insanity to occur.
In an article by CBS News titled , Fear Factor: How Herd Mentality Drives Us, herd mentality is
described as "It's the idea that the individual members of a herd relate, behave in a similar fashion...
If they act too much out of the norm, more often than not they're singled out and identified by a

All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to their

all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when I was ready
to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I was in Señora
Vargas's Kindergarten class holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she would have to leave. I
had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy blue dress and my
hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve racking. Most of the
parents were mingling and asking questions to the teacher, while the kids tried to find their place.
Some kids had already began to play games with one another. Others, like me, were more shy, still
clinging to their parent. In all the commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest hair in the entire
class of kindergartners. She looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink cast on her arm, and
the hair I had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about triple the length, and with
more curl in it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl had everything I had

1. Were you surprised by the ending of the story? If not, at what point did you know what was going

the ending to this story. I never really knew what was going to happen but I had a feeling that
something bad was about to when Jackson wrote about the stones being gathered in huge piles. I
also feel he foreshadowed the ending by telling the reaction of the crowd when the paper was drawn.

Why Jews Were Singled Out For Persecution
"If we bear all this suffering and if there are still Jews left, when it is over, then Jews, instead of

Anne Frank was one of the many people to have endured the Holocaust and sadly not survived, we
wonder why she and many other Jews were singled out for extermination by the Nazis. During the

Another group that was persecuted in large numbers was the Jehovah's Witnesses. Nazi Germany
targeted Jehovah's Witnesses because they wouldn't swear loyalty to the Nazi government. In the

Loneliness, in small amounts, can be beneficial, but an abundance can often leave a person broken.
In Richard Wright's autobiography, Black Boy, we are shown a dreadful time in the South where
oppression and racism is all too present. The autobiography highlights the struggles and hardships
Richard and his family faced growing up in the South. Isolation corrodes Richard's spirit, ultimately
leaving him a cynical man. Richard's childhood was nearly devoid of any love or comfort which
leaves him with a lack of trust in anyone around him. Even when he begins his move North toward
Memphis he is very skeptical of everyone. All Richard knew growing up was violence and hunger,
so when he meets the Moss family he doesn't know what to expect. The warm loving family trusts
him, wanting to accept him as their own. This left Richard wondering, "What on earth had they seen
in me to have made them act towards me as they had?...I learned the full degree to which my life at
home had cut me off, not only from white people, but from Negros as well"(214). This lack of love
in life led him to furthering himself from anyone who tried to get close to him. He has accepted the
loneliness so when Bess, a girl from Memphis, became enamored with him he rejected her. Because
of what happened between Uncle Tom and Richard in chapter five, Uncle Tom made it so his own
children wouldn't dare make Richard feel welcome in his own home. The children were forbidden to

table when I walked in the door. Jane, 9 years old, had a book in her hand like normal. Billy, 4 years
old, sat there picking at his scab. My husband came in with the last plate. Jason had been out of a
job for 9 months now, so he was the stay at home mom for a little while. I set my bag down on our
wooden table right beside the door. I walked over to the table said hi down and went to finish
helping my husband. When we were finished, I sat down to look all of my wonderful family in the
eye and see that today was a good day.
When supper was over, we sent the kids to go brush their teeth like we do every time after dinner. I
was helping my husband with the dishes after dinner. When we were done, the kids were in bed and
we had to go and tuck them in. We went and tucked Jane in. She was going to read a little before she
completely went to sleep. Jason, my Husband, left the room when he was done to use the restroom. I
then went to Billy's room to tuck him in. I sat down on the edge of the bed.
I said, "How was today?"
Billy replied, "It was fun. We did a lot of coloring. I colored a huge bear."
"Good I am glad you had fun with coloring." I said.
"Mommy?" Billy said.
I said, "Yes." Billy was now looking at the ceiling and pondering what he was going to say to me.

Mama's Gone
She had been sick for a year, at least. The reason for her illness went undiagnosed, that is, until three
days before she went away. A doctor finally said, "Osteoarthritis–– it's treatable." We blew a sigh of
relief. Three days later relief was nullified–– forever. I discovered my mother gone, and her leaving
left a hole in my life, heart, and soul.
Saturday, July 25, 1998, started out with a drive to Eckerd Drug across the city of Norman to pick
up more prescriptions for my mother, who had been throwing up and suffering from diarrhea all
night long. When I returned home she took all five of her medications plus the three new ones. I
went back to bed and tried to sleep, since I had had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For some reason, I looked at Erin's digital clock in her car at 8:13 p.m. and said to Erin, "Mom's
been so sick, and I'm so scared that she's not going to live much longer."
"Don't say that. I'm sure she'll be fine," said Erin.
"But I'm really scared."
"It'll be okay," Erin tried to reassure me. Little did we know.
We drove around for an hour longer, became bored and went home. When we got back to my house,
Erin, Lisa, and Gavin stayed in the living room as I went down the hall to let Powder, our dog,
outside to go to the bathroom. I walked around my mother's bed to the patio door and opened it and
called for Powder to go out. He was lying on my mother's bed at her feet. I called to him, "Come on,
Powder, go out." I was calling as quietly as I could; since, I didn't want to wake up my mom. She
needed her rest after last night. But he just whined and wouldn't move. I finally went over to him,
picked him up, and put him outside. He just sat outside the door and stared in at me.
I thought his behavior was weird but turned to exit her bedroom, walking cautiously in the dark,
trying not to wake her. As I got about five steps across the room, at the foot of her bed I realized she
wasn't snoring. I stopped, stood perfectly still, and held my breath so I could hear her breathing.
Nothing. I quietly crossed to the other side of

42. Lauren Kavanaugh Adoption Essay
April 12th of 1993, Sabrina and Bill Kavanaugh would soon adopt a newborn baby girl , Lauren,
from Barbara Calhoun. Eight months into the adoption process, Barbara called the Kavanaughs,
concerning Lauren. She wanted her back. Of course, Sabrina had every right to question why her
birth mother wanted her back, but Calhoun was only agitated from the amount of money that was
already spent on Lauren. The Kavanaughs' lawyer unintentionally failed to file paperwork to
contradict Barbara's parental rights during the adoption process. The adoptive parents had no choice
but to return Lauren back to her mother. ("Lauren Kavanaugh 'Girl in the Closet' Tortured and
Raped") Sabrina confessed that she knew Barbara was going to abuse her, but there was no way to
prevent it. Through Lauren Kavanaugh's six year battle of abuse, her case was one of the worst to
come out alive. Six years prior to Lauren's rescuing, the young girl encountered obscene abuse from
her mother and stepfather. Barbara and her husband, Kenneth, left her malnourished, and sexually
abused by themselves, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Atkinson's mom was a 13 year–old schizophrenic drug addict when she gave birth to her. Growing
up, she never had a stable until Doris and David Calhoun adopted her at age 4. Lollar's testimony
states, "You can only suspect what type of abuse was visited on Barbara at the hands of a known
child molester. For the first three years of her life, she'd been shoved around from place to place,
neglected to the max, abused." Brad Lollar almost ridicules an eight year–old little girl's
circumstances. In Barbara's trial, he makes excuses for her as if Lauren's treatment is somewhat
acceptable. Barbara's psychologist validated that she suffered from a borderline personality disorder.
It was said that her disorder was to blame for Lauren's conditions. (Farwell) Young Lauren was
Barbara's excuse for their family's
