Country's largest software services exporter TataConsultancy ServicesLtd on Thursday said it has entered into partnershipwith Vanderbilt
University Medical Center (VUMC) to drive innovation in the healthcare and life sciences fields. “TCS and Vanderbilt University Medical
Center partner to advance healthcare and life sciences research,” said TCS. TCS and VUMC will drive specific research in the areas of
genomics, metagenomics, systems biology, bio-informatics, improved care management and advanced healthcare analytics, it added. The
company further said that this important collaboration will alsolaythe foundation for TCS’ COINEmerging Technology network to connect

US stocks closed higher on Thursday after a three-day decline but sharply pared gains late in the session as oil
dropped to near seven-year lows and the strong dollar weighed on sentiment. Major US indexes have had a bruising
week as a rout in oil prices made investors worry about economic growth. China's consumer inflation picked up
slightly in November but remained well under the government's 2015 price target of 3 percent, raising concerns that

it wants to hike US interest rates for the first time in over nine years.
