Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) has bagged order worth Rs 1783.12 crore from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for
constructing a 36 Km highway which includes 3 krns of tunnels between Ramban and Banihaf in Jammu & Kashmir. The project is a part of
NHDP Phase-II program of NHAI on NH1A (now NH44) and is known for its difficult terrain and low temperatures especially in winter seasons.
The NH1A is major road connectivity to Srinagar from rest of the country and this project will decongest the existing narrow road between
Ramban and Banihal and will cut short travel time considerably due to provision of tunnels. HCC is a leader in engineering and construction

Global cues are mixed as the US markets closed mixed on Friday. On Friday, the S&P 500 erased an early Federal Reserve-driven rally and closed
slightly lower amid a selloff in biotech shares, and the Nasdaq lost 1 percent. The Dow, however, managed to rise 0.7 percent. Fed Chair Janet
Yellen last Thursday revived prospects of an interest rate hike before year-end, easing concerns about slowing global growth that helped the
dollar and risk assets, which have been buffeted by fears over China's sputtering economy. Strong second quarter U.S. GDP data released on
Friday further sharpened the case for the Fed to raise rates in 2015. Focus now turns to this Friday's all-important U.S. non-farm payrolls as the
markets try to gauge whether labour market conditions are strong enough for the Fed to tighten monetary policy. The Dow Jones industrial
average rose 113 points, or 0.70 percent, to 16,314.67, the S&P 500 lost -0.90 points, or -0.05percent, to 1,931.34 and the Nasdaq Composite
dropped -47.98 points, or -1.01 percent, to 4,686.50
Asian equity markets were mixed on Monday as investors digested key data from the world's second-biggest economy. But volumes in the
region were light with Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea shut for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Chinese industrial profits declined 8.8 percent on
year in August, worse than July's 2.9 percent fall, the National Statistics Bureau announced at the market open. For the first eight months of the
year, profits slid 1.9 percent as forty-two straight months of tanking producer prices erodes earnings growth. The main economic reports
investors are anticipating this week are China's official September PMI and the final Caixin/Markit PMI, both due on Thursday. The data will be
closely watched after Caixin's preliminary reading for September touched a six-and-a-half-year low of 47, well below the key 50-level. The
Shanghai Composite index traded at -0.95% to 3063.15, Hang Seng index traded at 0.43 % to 21186.32, Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 index
traded at -1.15% to 17677.12, South Korea's Kospi index down by -0.22 % to 1942.85 levels. The SGX Nifty suggests a negative opening for our
markets as it is trading at 7881, down by 43 points.
