1. Evaluation Question 4: How did you
use media technologies in the
construction and research, planning
and evaluation stages?
2. Research and planning
For the research and planning, I used many different technologies to get accurate
information to base my trailer and ancillary tasks on. This includes secondary and
primary information.
3. Wikipedia
I used Wikipedia to get information about typical horror/thriller genre. I also
found out how it has evolved and how it is presented in recent years
4. Questionnaires
We used questionnaires to gather primary information about how people would
like our idea for a horror/ thriller genre film.
5. YouTube
We used YouTube to get visual references of horror/ thriller trailers. I looked at
professional trailers by big companies and also looked other A2 media studies
trailers to get ideas.
6. Google
I used google to get ideas for my magazine and poster on google images. I also
used it to search up information as it is a search engine.
8. construction
I used many forms of media technology for the construction to make my trailer
and ancillary tasks look more professional.
9. Adobe Photoshop
I used Adobe Photoshop to construct both my ancillary tasks. Using this software,
I was able to make my magazine a poster look more professional.
10. Adobe Premiere Pro
We used Adobe Premiere pro to construct the trailer. We did all the editing on this
piece of software.
11. Camera equipment
We used a camera and a tripod to capture the footage for the trailer. The tripod
helped to keep the camera steady and keep the footage from bluring.
12. YouTube/ YouTube converter
We used YouTube and YouTube converter to get the sounds for the trailer. We
searched it from YouTube and got YouTube converter to download it.
13. Voice recorder
We used a voice recorder to get the voice overs for the trailer.
14. Evaluation
The evaluation stage allowed us to use more media technologies such as social
media to talk about and evaluate the ways we created out products.
15. Blogger
I used this to upload all of the work I have done for the course. It is an easy way to
view my work.
16. Slideshare
I used Slideshare to share my presentations and upload them to my blog.
17. Questionnaire
We used a questionnaire to ask people about their opinions on the trailer and
ancillary tasks.
18. Prezi
I used this website to create an interactive presentation. I think it works well as it is
something different from everything else.
19. Lightworks
This is a different type of editing software which I used to construct question one.
20. YouTube
I used YouTube to upload the trailer evaluation and the final trailer itself.
