2. The title of a contents page is
‘content’. The word is
prominent. it lets the people
know that it is the contents
page.
The title (contents) is usually
written in bold, capitals or in a
different colour so that it
contrasts against the
background to stand out to the
audience.
3. The main image on the contents page suggests
that will be to do with one of the main stories .
Its usually positioned in the middle or towards
the side of the page and is framed by the rest
of the pictures and text.
The text is usually in 11pt, however the page
number and title will be bigger to stand out.
4. • Contents page layouts are
usually in 3 or 4 columns.
• They usually have small
messages from the editor
which are usually
positioned in the bottom
left or right corner.
• Some contents pages have
a small copy of the front
cover in the top corner.
The copy will be numbered
showing what page each
front cover story is, to
make it easier for the
reader to find what they
want.
5. • The headlines from a contents page are
normally only a few or one word, followed by
a sub line explaining what the feature is
about.
• The issue date and number will be positioned
at the top left or right side of the page by the
title contents.
