The text on a contents page must be properly positioned, sized at 11-12pt font, and have some line spacing to be easily readable. Small images on the page give readers a preview of the magazine's articles and images but the main focus in one magazine's contents page is a large interview image rather than the smaller previews.
1. The text is a very important aspect of the
contents page and needs to be positioned
properly and also be clear enough for the
readers to read. The size of the text is
usually around 11pt or 12pt and is clear to
read in a simple font. There is also a small
space between each line so that all the
words don’t get jumbled up and look messy
to the eye.
2. The subsidiary images have been used to give
the reader something to expect and almost
have something to look forward to within the
magazine. The small image shows the reader
what images will be used in the articles that
they want to read. However in Kerrangs
contents page they haven't made the
subsidiary images the main focus of the page
but instead have used the main image from
one of the main interviews as the main point
of focus.
