2. On a contents page, the page
number always comes first
following with an outline content.
Underneath is one or two words
with an explanation of the article.
Often use bold capitals and the font
size 11. The back ground colours on
contents pages are conventionally
white making what is on the page
standout. The layout are in column's
usually three or four. Most of the
time there is one column of text or
a dog leg layout. Also what appears
in a contents page is the title of the
magazine, the issue date and
sometimes a picture of the front
cover.
3. Its regular to have
have category
headings on contents
pages, this is regular
and will appear in
every issue. Category
headings font sizes
are slightly bigger
then other text on
the page, usually
14pt in a colour or
black. The reason for
doing this is it divides
up the contents
making it easier to
read.
4. Features also appear mainly on
contents pages they show what is
going to be shown in the magazine
they give readers a taste of what
there about to read as well as it
looking a lot more structured.
‘Contents’ is usually the biggest text
on the page or even the name of the
magazine for example ‘This is closer’
etc. Another is the website address
or contact details will be on there
for readers to visit and so on.
Images are on every contents page
relating to the magazines and the
stories that are inside it, it also gives
it more structure and looks more
appealing to readers. Underneath
some of the images will have the
page number to find that article.
