4. Introduction about writer
William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor. He was born
on 26 April 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. His father was a successful local
businessman and his mother was the daughter of a landowner. Shakespeare is
widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's
pre-eminent dramatist. He is often called England's national poet and nicknamed
the Bard of Avon. He wrote about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative
poems, and a few other verses, of which the authorship of some is uncertain. His
plays have been translated into every major living language and are performed
more often than those of any other playwright.He died on 23 April 1616.

vessel of morality whose purpose is to
be a dutiful wife and steadfast
mother,To Hamlet,she is a sexual
object,a corrupt and deceiteful lover.

In the play women are characterized as
weak and submissive and as obedient and
compliant women seen more like than
characters the women are meek.
Ophelia end up dying for the men that
''loved''hamlet.In short women in this play
are easily manipulated,weak,object to men,
no individuality,limeted roles.
