2. We did a focus group for our target audience which is females and males aged
between 15-19, this allowed us to narrow down some of our ideas for our
costume, storyline and location for our music video. We allowed them to vote
after each section on which idea they preferred the most.
3. Storyline
Our storyline is mainly going to have a narrative structure
with some studio features. The most popular storyline that
got chosen was. A man sees the same women everyday on
the train next to him. However one day he decides to skip
work and catch the same train as her and get too know her
a bit more and turns out to be the perfect women he is
looking for. This storyline also fits well with the lyrics of our
chosen song as he is trying to find this woman.
4. Location
To go with the storyline the chosen location was the
local train station. This will go well with the whole
storyline as it about a man seeing a girl on the train
and falling in love with her. As well as this they also
liked the idea of using the studio so will we be
including shots within this location as well.
5. Costume
Within our music video there will one two characters one
female and one male. In our focus group we gave them two
options per character which were smart or casual. The most
popular dress code for the male is casual however for the
female smart was the most popular choice. We will be dressing
the women in a leather jacket with a shirt and trousers etc. The
reason for this is because a lyric within our chosen song
mentions a women wearing leather. To help support the idea
of them seeing each other on the train every day, we will dress
them in different outfits within their dress code.
