In order for brain-based learning to occur a caring adult must be available to offer support, provide learning opportunities, engage students and provide guidance.
Comfortably sit and read with the teacher and with friends. Books of many different genres are available. Meaningful print is displayed on the walls and is not excessive. Throughout the classroom labels and signs are displayed where relevant. When appropriate print is displayed at eye level.
Create memorable experiences that build on emotion.
Promote exploration, communication and creativity
Provide opportunities for open-ended play.
Provide choices throughout the day
