• Could be said that its aimed at impressionable insecure young girls
3. RAP
• Hoodies, bandanas, puffy jackets, gold
chains, caps, sports clothes.
• Prison associated dress codes
• Lots of profanities, they are direct and aggressive.
• Objectification of women, self promoting, derogatory
to women.
• The colours are usually dark browns, grays and have a
typically moody atmosphere
4. COUNTRY
• Cowboy hats and boots, plaid shirts, guns, horses,
holsters, hillbilly type clothing
• Either really fast paced or very slow music.
Guitars and banjos. Men riding horses or single
man singing to a group of people or a woman.
• Dusty yellow/browns, dark browns but primarily
washed out colours.
5. HEAVY METAL
• Juggalo black and white makeup, black and
white shirts and jeans, black hair
• Fast paced, electric guitar, drums and amps.
• Lyrics are usually about death or just
screaming

• Interviews with popular artists
• Magazines aimed at young adults, teens and children would have
bright colour schemes like pink, red and yellow, where as magazines
aimed at older audiences would have a colour scheme of
gold, silver, red and black to highlight importance, worth and value.
• Clothing features of an artist with a particular style
• Depending on the magazine, for example, Top of the pops, BEAT
and Kerrang there would be uses of informal language texts where
as in magazines like NME, Q, Music week, there would be more
formal language used and they would be considered to be aimed at
older audiences.
