Anthony Robbins : The Six Human Needs
The Six Human Needs Anthony Robbins introduced the idea of The Six Human Needs. Having
developed a life long interest in human behavior, development and motivation he studied many
models of therapy including Neuro Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Therapy, Gestalt Therapy
combined with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Robbins combined elements from Maslow's
Hierarchy of Needs with his own discoveries to determine what guides and motivates our decisions
and actions. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs explores: Physiological Needs Safety Needs Love and
Belonging Needs Esteem Needs Self Actualization Maslow's pyramid of needs demonstrates how
our needs change as we progress up the hierarchy. On the bottom of the hierarchy we have the
physiological needs for breathing, food, water, sex, sleep, excretion etc. As these needs are satisfied
we move up the pyramid to satisfy safety needs such as security of the self, of the family, property,
health and employment. We move on to the need for love and belonging where we desire to connect
with people through family, friendship and sexual intimacy. We then seek out our esteem needs to
boost self–esteem, confidence, achievement and respect from others. The top of the pyramid is the
need for self–actualization where we desire self–improvement through creativity and helping to
make the world a better place. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs focused on personal growth and
contribution but Robbins felt it didn't explain why we do what we do. He

Neuro Linguistic Programming Therapy
The best tool that a person can have in improving his or her mental situation, health and maybe his
or her entire life is Neuro Linguistic Programming. It is some kind of a blueprint of a person?s mind
that not only concerns human intellect, but also a person?s emotions, behavior and feelings. In this
article we take a deeper look in the exciting and intriguing world of NLP. Our thoughts and behavior
and our inability to control them sometimes become a big challenge for us. Since our emotions and
thoughts are two of the toughest things to control, NLP has ways that can help us do it. By
undergoing Neuro Linguistic Programming Therapy we may be able to solve this problem. When
you learn Neuro Linguistic Programming you are essentially learning ... Show more content on

The anchor is created by associating the emotion with one of the senses or even a combination of the
senses. The one that is most likely to leave a very strong impact is an anchor that is felt by touch.
Creation of the anchor ends as soon as the anchor is formed. Repeating the process over many times
helps to fix the anchor into the person's mind. Once the anchor is deliberately set off or not in the
future, the person's state of being, emotions and all should reflect that of the associated ones of the
anchor. Even though anchoring seems easy to do, not everyone can do it or should we say, don't
have the heart to do it. Anchoring is not impossible and it is a technique that becomes easier after
each attempt. If you've ever wanted to take control of your brain instead of it controlling you, then
Neuro Linguistic Programming methods like anchoring is for you. Anchoring is one of the methods
of Neuro Linguistic Programming that you can start using today to change your lifestyle. There are
numerous methods in NLP that is sadly beyond the scope of this writing as one article is just not
enough to discuss all. In conclusion, if you want to live better NLP is the way and anchoring is one
way to do

Using NLP to Help Children Who Have Been Bullied
By Gemma Bailey
Dec 29, 2011
Childhood is a very important time period where we lay the foundation to our children's emotional
and psychological outlook. Similarly, childhood is the only time when a child's behavioural patterns
are developed and makes him or her more open towards change.
However, it is that critical time when children in Buckinghamshire are often faced with situations
that are embedded in their sub–conscious for a long time. Stress, domestic violence, a bad
experience and phobias are just some examples of major issues that may arise in children who suffer
from low self–esteem. Usually the most common reason behind it is a problem of bullying a child
may face at school. It is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since children are open minded, they respond very well to NLP therapies.NLP uses methods like
drawing, music playing, story telling and many other fun and creative ways to enable such children.
Sessions are delivered in an exciting and enjoyable way. Therapists in Buckinghamshire try to help
kids that are bullied to fight their inner fears. Internal building strategies are acquired by these NLP
experts to counter children's negative behaviours. Parents can always attend these sessions too, as
they also enable them to understand their children's condition and further facilitate them when
needed.
Good NLP therapists are available worldwide and it is easy to find NLP therapists in your area.
Children in today's world are exposed to many situations that may shatter their personalities forever.
Bullying is a huge problem for kids at school and may destroy their self–esteem and confidence.
NLP therapy is extremely useful for the treatment of such children as it helps them in overcoming
the effects of bullying. NLP therapy is a safe and very effective tool to empower children to control
their emotions. So stop worrying and get help if your child is a victim of

First of all, each client that comes to see me has taken a different route to get to where they are so
therefore I never use the exact same approach with any two clients. Everyone is unique so I adapt
my approach to suit each client's specific needs.
I work using three main skill sets: Hypnotherapy; Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) which is
sometimes referred to as 'Tapping'; and Neuro–Linguistic Programming.
Perhaps it would be best if I explained each of these to you:

Understanding Counselling Theories
Understanding Counselling Theories
1a
The B.A.C.P (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) define counselling as 'the
skilled use of the relationship (between counsellor and client) to help the client develop self–
knowledge, self–esteem and the ability to take control of his or her own life'.
1b
Counselling is based on a therapeutic relationship, whereby the counsellor using their skills and
knowledge to help the client to explore and understand their difficulties. This is done in a safe and
secure setting, whilst maintaining a confidential and non judgemental manner. Before the
therapeutic relationship can develop, both client and counsellor must write up a contract covering
areas such as confidentiality, fees, duration of sessions, number of sessions and responsibilities.
Counselling can help with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, low self esteem,
domestic violence, midlife crisis, sexuality and relationship.
1c
Counselling is not advice and guidance. Nor is it an intimate relationship, friendly conversation,
problem solving, judgemental or influenced by the counsellor.
2a
The key approaches to counselling are Psychoanalysis, Humanistic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
(CBT) and Neuro–linguistic programming (NLP).
Psychoanalysis is a set of theories and techniques which were founded by Sigmund Freud. The basis
of Psychoanalysis is that it enables the client to become more aware of their unconscious thoughts

Neuro-Linguistic Program
Have you heard about NLP? "NLP stands for Neuro–Linguistic Programming, a name that
encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience;
neurology, language, and programming" (Robert). It was created in 1971, by Richard Brandler and
Frank Pucelik who were students at Kresge College at the University of California Santa Cruz. By
using Neuro–Linguistic Programming is possible to modal our personal goals in a way that we will
never feel demotivated. It is how we use the basic language of our mind to consistently achieve the
results we want in life. This program actually changed my life in the aspect of how I perceive my
surroundings also help me to filter information necessary to reach my goals. Neuro–Linguistic

"At another level, NLP is about self–discovery, exploring identity and mission. It also provides a
framework for understanding and relating to the 'spiritual' part of human experience that reaches
beyond us as individuals to our family, community, and global systems" (Robert). Which means that
this program will offer techniques that can help us to have a better comprehending of our own mind,
also getting into our subconscious to help us to realize what our mission is in our currently life by
exploring our personal, familiar, affective, social, professional, financial and spiritual level. It
provides a self–evaluation, where our mind will be able to lead ourselves to new patterns in the
pathway to pursue our goals. For example, using the techniques similar to hypnosis from the course,
most individuals will get into a state of mind where they will have a clear and organized perception
about their own reality and it will lead into situations which will clarify about their mission and

I am in year 33 of treating people who suffer the effects of trauma. In the beginning, I was terrified
as I sat across from these survivors who put their hope and trust in me to help them navigate through
the dark tunnel of traumatic stress. I was afraid that I would not be able to help them, or worse, that I
would cause them harm. As a result of this fear, I became a very cautious therapist. With my anxious
and overly cautious approach, I can see clearly now how I was actually causing harm and thwarting
treatment–although I would have vehemently argued this 20 years ago. My anxiety had its upside
though, as it compelled me to accrue more and more training. By the mid–90s, I had become trained
in every known treatment, the whole "alphabet soup" of protocols, which had shown efficacy and/or
effectiveness in treating traumatic stress. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Core Concept Of Nlp
The core concept of NLP According to Bandlers own defition of NLP, the system is: A model of
interpersonal communication chiefly concerned with the relationships between successful patterns
of behaviour and the subjective experiences (esp. patterns of thought) underlying them. The idea is
that all of humans share the same basic neurology. Your ability to do things in life essentially
therefore depends on how you control your nervous system. Furthermore, NLP states your
neurological system is directly related to your linguistic and behavioural patterns. Since all of them
are essentially learned through experience, or programming, you can also gain control of these
aspects with the right modelling. The idea is that external behaviours are controlled by internal
processing strategies. So while you are making a sale, for example, you are using an internal
processing strategy to engage in the behaviour, even if you don't consciously know it. With NLP,
you are able to understand and utilise different strategies, which can ultimately help you achieve
certain goals. For example, if you are looking to improve your social status, you can learn internal
strategies that help you achieve this. The term neuro–linguistic programming could also be viewed
through each component. Neuro refers to the neurological system – the world is experiences through
senses and the sensory information is translated into our thought processes, both consciously and
unconsciously. These thought

Common Strategies Of Explaining Human Behavior
Common strategies of NLP
The idea of NLP is heavily based on the ideas of strategy, as it sees your internal and external
behaviour uses processing strategies for each behaviour and response. The system uses different
ideas of strategies as part of explaining human behaviour, as well as a way to change it.
The most common strategies of NLP are dealt in short–detail below. There are further strategies
used and some of the strategies and the way they are applied depend on the context of use.
Modelling
The basis of the NLP theory was built around modelling. Modelling is considered as a means of
finding out about a person's belief system, as well as physiology. It is also used in terms of
understanding the person's mental strategies, which in turn influence the other two aspects of
thinking and behaviour.
Modelling essentially tried to find the strategies or mental behaviour patterns the person uses for
doing things. An example of modelling could be about how a person learns a new skill. In order to
learn to speak Spanish, the person would need to model three things. First, to learn the vocabulary.
This simply means understanding that gato means cat, for instance.
Then the person would need to learn syntax. This means the ability to put these words together in
order to make a sentence. For example, the ability to say "Me llamo John", "My name is John".
Finally, the third part of modelling would be about understanding the mouth movements. Different
languages have a

Evaluating Assessment Methods
All work handed in by the learner, they must sign and date and confirm that it is their own work.
The assessment method must take into account the characteristic of the learner and needs to be
consistent and relevant to what is being assessed. The assessment will not only focus on improving
the learning, it will measure their achievements and also remind the learner of how they are
progressing.
As assessors we all have to attend a standardisation to ensure that we are all assessing and judging
work to the same standards. This is also makes sure we are making fair and consistent decisions and
using the most relevant assessment methods as well as abiding by the relevant guidance and
regulations set by the awarding institution. The standardisation

The Presuppositions Of NLP
What is NLP? The abbreviations of NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming. NLP comprises
of three main factors which involved in our daily lives: neurology, language and programming.
People can achieve their particular goals in life by changing these three components of NLP. NLP
was firstly developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in 1970. Both of them claim that
successful people have exceptional skills and behaviors but ordinary people can shape their existing
skills and behaviors to reach the level where successful people reached. Introduction to NLP
Presuppositions. Presuppositions are our thoughts that we make every day to something what is or
what is not, true in a given situation. There are two main pivots in NLP presupposition. The first one
states that "Map is not Territory" and the second one, "Mind and Body are work as one". ... Show

It says that the geographical sketches on paper is just a map and that map depends on a person who
drew it. It is impossible to know what the actual territory looks like in outside. The difference is that
we cannot measure the same scale that is measured on the paper map to the outside world. Compare
with our mind, our perceptions(maps) are derived from belief system, environments, habits and
motivation direction. So different people have different points of perception in their life. People are
thinking all the time that the way they represent to the world is real and it is not true. Normally

Nlp in English Language Teaching
ABSTRACT ii
The purpose of this presentation is to determine the use of NLP in language teaching. In this study,
in the first part, some background information was given about what Neuro–Linguistic
programming (NLP) is, and whether NLP was used in language teaching before. To put forward
whether NLP is effective in language teaching, general questions related to NLP are to be asked to
language teachers in questionnaires and interviews. The collected data were analyzed in tables and
graphics by using numerical system. According to the findings, the hypothesis and the results were
once more examined in the conclusion part.

Here are the key features of NLP:
• NLP is about recognizing patterns.
• NLP is concerned with process rather than content.
• NLP provides a model of how we communicate with ourselves and others. (Darn, 2005:1)
The name "Neurolinguistic Programming" might lead one to expect that it is based on the science of

Acrophobia
"A phobia is defined as an irrational fear that produces a conscious avoidance of the feared subject,
activity or situation." In Adrian Preda's article "Phobic Disorders", it was said that many people have
multiple specific phobias. The average person with specific phobia fears around 3 objects and/or
situations, and approximately 75% of people with specific phobia fear more than 1 situation or
object. (Adrian Preda, "Phobic Disorders"). Acrophobia comes from the fear of falling and being
injured or even killed. This is normally the result of a traumatic experience from a point in
someone's life. The purpose of this paper is to give some background knowledge on phobias,
specifically Acrophobia: fear of heights. Also, about the symptoms and causes, some case studies
and the treatments for Acrophobia.
Phobic disorders are one of the most common forms of psychiatric illness. There are so many
different phobias. Some examples are, Social Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia: the fear of being
alone in public places, Cynophobia: the fear of dogs, and Arachnophobia: the fear of spiders.
Anxiety is a big common factor when experiencing phobic disorders. A disorder can start off really

The Bond between Coaching and Your Career
Borrowed from the sports domain, coaching is a mutually agreed and strong partnership between a
coach and his client. Asking coaches about their first emotional experiences with their first clients,
most of them have described clients reaching out to them almost like sending "a cry for help".
However, coaching should never be mistaken with the relationship between a psychologist and its
patient, as most people tend to. Coaching is a professional relationship which thrives to empower
the client, to help him find his abilities to succeed in the desired directions of his life, whether it's

Conclusion
Self–development, no matter the area in which it is desired goes hand in hand with coaching, the
latter proving to often be the foundation of success. Understanding one's core values, principles,
prejudices and behavioral patterns that lead to choices and course of action is important. Coaching
has been proven helpful, even when it was a basic mentorship relation. It has now been taken to the
next level, enabling a participant to overcome the blockage set by a mentor's lack of time and
interest.
Being a professional relationship (even if beautiful friendships have developed between coaches and
trainees after the end of a program) helps both parties to remain emotionally stable, an asset which
most mentoring relations fail to achieve.
Assuming that coaching will guarantee success is an error. We are human beings and the
introspective process that builds the foundation in a coaching program is sometimes too much to
handle for participants, some of them giving up even before the actually

An anchor is a specific word which represents behaviors classically conditioned to evoke a specific
response. This response can be cognitive or behavioral. An anchor does not need to be to be
reinforced with its response and it does not need to be conditioned over a period of time. Language
is a common anchoring system. For example, the word dog will be an auditory anchor to an image
of four legged animal that barks, an effective anchor with little cognitive effort. The smell of a
hospital or a family member screaming in anger is examples of anchors that have been
unintentionally installed and they operate out of an individual's awareness and direct control. Neuro
Linguistic Programming operates to install new anchors which work just as well as these
unintentional anchors and work toward evoking a response that increases the behavioral flexibility
of a person and it is through these anchors that changes can be made in the strategies of thought.
Using NLP a therapist can establish a map of one's cognitive representation of the world and place
anchors that be established in a clients strategies that provoke responses that differ from those
expected using their original strategy. It is now used internationally used by millions of people
throughout the world in such diverse fields as management, sales, marketing, public relations,
education, therapy, the military and police, sport, and personal development. (Schaefer, Beausay &
Pursley 1983).

assessment, client engagement, and rapid implementation of change strategies."
(www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK64943/) NLP helps with this by giving the therapist a way of
getting familiar with the client by giving an example of a similar situation and showing a pattern to
the patient that shows how to get out of the issue they are speaking of. Brief therapy is useful when
the client is suffering from serious depression, a substance addiction, or any other serious mental
issue that must be quickly solved. (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK64943/) Another form of
therapy that Neuro–linguistic Programming is involved in is nicknamed the Fast Phobia Cure.
(www.nlp–techniques.org/2013/01/fast–phobia–cure.html) The Fast Phobia Cure is the most
commonly known and practiced NLP technique because of its use to almost all people. This is
useful to many because it is used to cure fears. The technique involves the user thinking of their
greatest fear in life and thinking of a picture, a video, or a memory of it.

Speech On Abundance In Life
To tell that you are experiencing an abundant life, your life should be healthy and happy. It does not
mean that you get your happiness from the material things you possess in life. Even the relationships
you have with other people around you are a great factor for your abundant life. Abundance in life is
simply living in happiness from within.
Anyone can attract abundance by changing their lives and how they approach life. There may be
some people who are experiencing abundance now and that is because they are positive in life and
that they pursued achieving abundance. This happens because they worked hard for it and it is not
just an accidental effect of a situation.
Everyone can have an abundant life. If you want to start attracting abundance now in your life, start
by being grateful of the things and the people you already have right now. Even if you are in such a
situation wherein being grateful is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some people use any of these approaches as well and some of them even use a combination of
approaches just to achieve a better mental and emotional state. There are times you will find it hard
to pursue, but the hardship that you will take will all be worth it once you achieved your goals of
attracting abundance.
There are lots of tools made available by science to help people overcome the unhealthy state of
their mental and emotional beings. Among these tools are the hypnosis, self–hypnosis, neuro–
linguistic programming, applied kinesiology, affirmations, and BSFF (Be Set Free Fast).
Change is a process and the results are progressive. As a person changes, their life will also change.
A thankful and optimistic person will attract abundance far more easily than someone who is
struggling with negative emotions. These changes won't happen overnight, however, so it's
important to be prepared to stay the course until abundance

Amaxophobia: Definition and Symptoms
Amaxophobia
Definition:
An irrational and exaggerated fear of riding in a vehicle or being in one.1
Amaxophobia is the fear of riding in a car. The origin of the word amaxo is Greek (meaning vehicle)
and phobia is Greek (meaning fear).2
Amaxophobia is a persistent, abnormal, and unwarranted fear of walking, despite conscious
understanding by the phobic individual and reassurance by others that there is no danger. An
extreme unwarranted fear and/ or physical aversion to walking.3
Causes:
It is generally accepted that phobias arise from a combination of external events (traumatic events)
and internal predisposition (heredity or genetic). Many specific phobias can be traced back to a
specific triggering event, usually a traumatic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Exposure. You begin exposing yourself to the items on the list, starting with the least frightening

Self–Help
Self–help really means do–it–yourself and could be anything from choosing a home study program

Why We Offer Self Help
Whatever anybody says the truth is that you are the only person who can cure your amaxophobia.

How I Build Self Confidence The Easy Way Essay
How To Build Self Confidence The Easy Way By Wendy Jones May 22, 2010 Have you ever felt
anxious, depressed, nervous, or angry? Or feeling low on self confidence and self esteem? One of
the questions I get asked a lot by my clients (and friends too) is how to build self confidence and
start to feel good about life. These tips and techniques come from a Master NLP practitioner. They
are clinically tested methods you can start to use right now to eliminate all your negative emotions
and replace them with positive and empowering emotions and feelings. Neuro Linguistic
Programming techniques can empower you to overcome all sorts of negative and dysfunctional
emotions, and easily turn them into something much more positive. It 's pretty much like having a
"happy button" that can take effect within just a few seconds. Knowledge is Power – or is it? I 'm
sure you 're heard the phrase "knowledge is power" before – but that 's not really true. Even though
these techniques are highly effective and will work every time – you must put this knowledge in to
action – because the real power lies in taking action with your new fond knowledge. It 's time to
pick up your Magic Hats This process you 're about to discover is more commonly known as Magic
Hats. You get 5 different colored hats (not real hats – they 're jus in your mind) and 5 very simple
steps to follow. In fact there so simple you can have them down in less than 20 minutes. Step 1. Self
Hypnosis. This is the real secret to

General Psychology: Chronophobias
Matthew Stephens

General Psychology (Online)

Chronophobia The passing of time is a force of this world that can not be stopped by anyone no
matter how big or small, rich or poor, young or old. There is nothing any person in this life can do to
stop the ever creeping march of passing time. And, of course, there is a phobia that people have
when facing the true reality of this phobia. These people understand just how powerless they truly
are as their time on the clock just slowly continues to creep forward unable to do anything to prevent
the inevitable end. Time continually passing does not only affect one, but the many as a whole. Time
can be the factor that leads to recovery or death. Time can lead to progression or digression. Time
can lead to change good or bad. Time is an unseeable force that we all know exists, ... Show more

While researching through different phobias that exist in the world, many of those either did not
stick out to me enough or I just believed that they were to ridiculous to even discuss. Chronophobia,
however, has a much deeper meaning behind it than many other phobias. There may be methods to
help appease people with this phobia so that they can come to terms, but there is no possible way to
stop the progression of time. Time is a never ending cycle that eventually gets to everyone. Seconds
become minutes, minutes become hours, hours become days, days become weeks, weeks become
months, months become years, years become decades, decades become centuries, and the cycle
continues on and on with no end in sight. The future will continue to progress forward and all who
have left no major scientific or historic impact, even major performs, will eventually die and be
forgotten in the annals of history. The fact that time is such a complex foundation is why

Communication in the Workplace
Communication in the Workplace Regardless of the environment in which one works,
communication is always vital and a key factor of success. Communication happens both physically
and verbally and is absolutely essential if you want to inform someone about something.
Communication has two main components, sending out a message to someone, and ensuring the
message is received correctly to the other member of the conversation. It is therefore fair to say
speaking and listening are vital to effective communication. I will talk about how effective
communication is needed in my current position, as well as the future. Computer Science is the

This, in turn, results in ineffective listening which decreases the overall communication. Effective
listening is an essential skill for an IT consultant. The reason for this is that I will be working closely
with a mixed range of clients and customers who have their own demands. Alongside them I will
also be given an authoritative figure within the support department. I will need to have an extremely
good understanding of what the clients want. I will have to fully listen to all of the client's needs,
and then create solutions. I will need to fulfill the client's needs in a logical and timely manner.
Although communication is usually thought of as being only oral, emotional intelligence can be
used as well. Emotional intelligence can be described as a "skill in perceiving, understanding, and
managing emotions and feelings" (dictionary.com). Emotional Intelligence (EI) is used to improve
interpersonal skills. EI sets about identifying one's emotion and then regulating them to result in
effective communication. This is required when in management, as it involves meeting new
members of staff as well as re–informing the current staff with any new business goals and
objectives. Neuro–linguistic programming (NLP) is extremely important when communicating.

Essay On Thalassophobia
The ocean is the most amazing and mysterious places in the world, with hundreds of new species
being discovered every year, in a place that takes about 70% of the earth's surface. This always gets
people thinking, "What else is out there?". Thalassophobia is the fear of the ocean, a fear that many
people in the world suffer from. There is no clear number of people who suffer from thalassophobia,
but there are many online groups dedicated to the phobia, with one of those having about 80,000
members. It is understandable for people to have thalassophobia, as stated before, it is the most
mysterious place in the world. With the majority of the ocean being unexplored, comes the thought
of the thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands of creatures that may lurk in the dark. The thought
of being lost in the ocean, in the middle of nowhere, is something that can cause people to sweat,
shake, vomit as well as anxiety, panic attacks, and much more. But why do people have
thalassophobia, and how can they overcome it?
The ocean takes up about 71 percent of the world, and if you can't grasp how big it is, it is also 1.3
billion cubic kilometers, holding over 99 percent of area that can be inhabited by life, and having the
world's largest mountain range and deepest canyon. It is all this that can cause thalassophobia,
although the effect of it is based on the person. Some people (me included) are afraid of the oceans
outstanding size, which is something that we can never really

Neuro-Linguistic Programming
Neuro–Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a form of a communication model that was developed in
order to help interviewer or interrogator make the person they are interviewing or interrogating feel
comfortable as well as build rapport between them. It can also tell the interviewer or interrogator if
the person may be lying, nervous or scared because of what may happen to them if they give the
police any information. Therefore, by using this technique they can get all of the information about
an ongoing case from a witness or a suspect without any problem. The reason this can be done is
because they are watching the person body movement, eyes, verbal and nonverbal gestures and
doing exactly what they are doing without the person knowledge of them doing so ... Show more

The principle could totally take over the conversation but by using NLP they would listen to the
student and watch their body language as well as how their eyes are moving to see if the person is
watching them or simply trying to avoid eye contact because they may be lying or just simply scared
that they are going to get in trouble for their actions. This will let them know if the student is being
honest or not and they most maintain a calm approach in order to make them feel calm so that they
will be willing to talk. The second example would be when dealing with your own kids. Although,
most parents say that they can tell when their kids are lying this sometimes can be far from the truth.
I feel that in order to get our kids to always be honest we can use NLP without them knowing that
you are doing so and they will tell you everything you want to know without you having to raise
your voice or get upset. Furthermore, you will be able to tell if they are lying or not because of the
technique you are using against

Contrast Anxiety And Anxiety
Although many people tend to use the words "stress" and "anxiety" interchangeably, they are
actually two separate conditions. Stress is a reaction to a stimulus, which can be external or internal.
You may experience stress when you feel frustrated with something (like waiting in line behind a
slow person) or when you are worried that you will not meet expectations (such as missing a
deadline at work).
Anxiety, on the other hand, is a sense of dread, or nervousness and fear. It can be caused by negative
thoughts and expectations, or as a response to stress. You may feel anxious virtually all of the time
and not know why, or your feelings may be a response to something you are nervous about, like an
upcoming exam.
Abnormal levels of certain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Exercise is one that is often overlooked by anxious people, but it is highly effective. Exercise causes
your body to release endorphins, which are natural mood–boosting and pain–killing chemicals. With
regular exercise, you may start to experience a decrease in negative emotional reactions to situations
that would have previously made you extremely anxious.
The best way to cope with tension and worry is to control it from the inside out. Stress relief and
stress management techniques are very valuable tools in handling day–to–day stress. These
techniques can teach you to relax yourself and relieve your tension. You make a conscious effort to
slow your breathing rate, release the tension, and remain in a calm state of mind. Meditation is a
form of tension control in which you focus on thoughtful relaxation and deep, calming breathing.
However, if you seek a proactive solution to relieve yourself of anxiety, hypnosis is by far the most
effective form of treatment. When a person undergoes hypnosis, their reactions and emotional
responses to events are changed at their core. This provides them with the opportunity to cope with
anxiety–inducing triggers without the usual fear and

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Communication System
Bureaucracy, Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Working Practices necessary to ensure
consistency can stifle staff engagement and affect performance, limits formal procedures and

Network channels of communication, their benefits and implications are not considered. Teams are
created purely by location, in order to meet the organisations future vision for 2020. However,
different tasks benefit from different communication networks. For example some roles within TSL
require isolation or home working and would be categorised as a 'wheel ' network whilst others are
based upon a processing system following a 'Y' network structure, see figure 1.5 above. No
consideration has been made to the management of virtual teams where effective communication
needs to be encouraged and managed. This is vitally important, especially if the group has not been
through the five key stages of group development described in the model by Bruce W. Tuckman,
which follows a group from formation and conflict in establishing boundaries, to performing and
finally adjournment when the group disbands.

Our daughter, Amelia, died 16 days after she was born. She was premature, at 27 weeks, and her
little body just wasn't developed well enough for her to remain living. Needless to say, this was a
traumatic experience for me and my wife. My wife had a very rough time returning to regular life.
Her friends and family had a difficult time understanding what she was going through (and so did
she) so being given a diagnosis of Post–Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) was very helpful in that
we had a label to apply to her experience and information to learn from and share. Post–traumatic

others who had also lost children. That was extremely helpful because everybody in that support
group knew exactly what we were going through, even though our situations varied. Other methods
of treatment include hypnosis, self–directed empowerment, neuro–linguistic programming, and
exposure therapy. (Heal My PTSD, 2012). I didn't realize it at the time, but she was practicing
exposure therapy quite a bit, particularly as we packed away the gifts that had been given to us in
anticipation of Mia's birth. Honestly, the most healing thing she did in terms of recovering from
PTSD was to have another baby. Andrew is almost four now, and although he does not in any way

What Is Your Subconscious Mind
Your subconscious mind is what puts you on autopilot. While it's true that you first have to
consciously pay attention to what you are doing, or you have to consciously take in a new concept
or idea, your subconscious ultimately decides what you do and how you do it and, just like habits, it
plays a huge part in how your day is going to go.
As you move towards building habits and beliefs that you want in your life, it helps to have your
subconscious mind on board to adopting them. If it can store the data you need, then soon the habits
and beliefs that you want to master will become an automatic part of your day and a part of who you
are and what you do.

4. Stay Consistent And Be Repetitive
The more you do something or say something, the more it will adopt into your subconscious mind
and accept it. That's why consistency is so important when it comes to affecting the subconscious.
Repetitive thoughts are very powerful and being consistent is the best way to draw in those
repetitive thoughts. When we hear the same thing over and over again, those repeated experiences
become part of who we are. For example, my friend consistently heard that she had a big butt from
her mom, and guess what? Her subconscious mind soaked in that information and she still believes
it to this day. The best way to be consistent and repetitive, is to schedule it into your routine.
For instance, program an alert to go off every few hours and remind you of what you want to think,
do, or feel. We are all pretty good at hearing our phones, so you will check it and see the message
and consistently think about it throughout your

Neuro Linguistic Programming Nlp Training
Understanding Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) By Lily Joshua Jul 24, 2009 So you may have
heard about NLP and NLP training. But what is NLP? Well, NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic
Programming, and it is about how to use the language of the mind to consistently achieve our
specific and desired outcomes. It's the visual, auditory, kinaesthetic and olfactory and gustatory that
we have and use, and how that plays a part in the Pictures, Sounds, Feelings and Tastes and Smells
and Words that we use (Self Talk). NLP is ultimately about taking charge of your internal
representational system and creating the right pictures, sounds and feelings that you need to get
results. Taking an NLP Training will teach you these techniques so you can make the changes you
need. The NLP training will give you insight to the process so you can experience it first hand. Most
of NLP training is known for its use with Anchors and Sub modalities (the way that each person
processes information). One technique you will most definitely master during an NLP training will
be basic anchoring and stacking anchors. This is the process of taking a vivid event from the past,
like a time that you fell down laughing for example. Now as you think about that time do you have a
picture? It's then a process of leading you into that event so that you have all the emotions ... Show

Open Ended Questions In Research Essay
Questionnaires and surveys are useful for determining the attitudes, characteristics, profiles, beliefs
from a sample of people. In designing a questionnaire that focuses on open ended questions the
main concern should be on determining the way the responses will be quantified.
Open ended questions are often used in research to clarify closed questions or as a means of
generating ideas. In both cases it is generally assumed that the longer and more detailed the response
to an open ended question the better (Graziano et al, 2000). However, relatively little is known about
the effect of factors such as question wording or questionnaire design on the response to open ended
questions.
There is a need to ask open ended questions when the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

  • 3. Anthony Robbins : The Six Human Needs The Six Human Needs Anthony Robbins introduced the idea of The Six Human Needs. Having developed a life long interest in human behavior, development and motivation he studied many models of therapy including Neuro Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Therapy, Gestalt Therapy combined with Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Robbins combined elements from Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs with his own discoveries to determine what guides and motivates our decisions and actions. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs explores: Physiological Needs Safety Needs Love and Belonging Needs Esteem Needs Self Actualization Maslow's pyramid of needs demonstrates how our needs change as we progress up the hierarchy. On the bottom of the hierarchy we have the physiological needs for breathing, food, water, sex, sleep, excretion etc. As these needs are satisfied we move up the pyramid to satisfy safety needs such as security of the self, of the family, property, health and employment. We move on to the need for love and belonging where we desire to connect with people through family, friendship and sexual intimacy. We then seek out our esteem needs to boost self–esteem, confidence, achievement and respect from others. The top of the pyramid is the need for self–actualization where we desire self–improvement through creativity and helping to make the world a better place. Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs focused on personal growth and contribution but Robbins felt it didn't explain why we do what we do. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The one that is most likely to leave a very strong impact is an anchor that is felt by touch. Creation of the anchor ends as soon as the anchor is formed. Repeating the process over many times helps to fix the anchor into the person's mind. Once the anchor is deliberately set off or not in the future, the person's state of being, emotions and all should reflect that of the associated ones of the anchor. Even though anchoring seems easy to do, not everyone can do it or should we say, don't have the heart to do it. Anchoring is not impossible and it is a technique that becomes easier after each attempt. If you've ever wanted to take control of your brain instead of it controlling you, then Neuro Linguistic Programming methods like anchoring is for you. Anchoring is one of the methods of Neuro Linguistic Programming that you can start using today to change your lifestyle. There are numerous methods in NLP that is sadly beyond the scope of this writing as one article is just not enough to discuss all. Understanding Counselling Theories Understanding Counselling Theories 1a The B.A.C.P (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) define counselling as 'the skilled use of the relationship (between counsellor and client) to help the client develop self– knowledge, self–esteem and the ability to take control of his or her own life'. 1b Counselling is based on a therapeutic relationship, whereby the counsellor using their skills and knowledge to help the client to explore and understand their difficulties. This is done in a safe and secure setting, whilst maintaining a confidential and non judgemental manner. Before the therapeutic relationship can develop, both client and counsellor must write up a contract covering areas such as confidentiality, fees, duration of sessions, number of sessions and responsibilities. Counselling can help with issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement, low self esteem, domestic violence, midlife crisis, sexuality and relationship. 1c Counselling is not advice and guidance. Nor is it an intimate relationship, friendly conversation, problem solving, judgemental or influenced by the counsellor. 2a The key approaches to counselling are Psychoanalysis, Humanistic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Neuro–linguistic programming (NLP). In the beginning, I was terrified as I sat across from these survivors who put their hope and trust in me to help them navigate through the dark tunnel of traumatic stress. I was afraid that I would not be able to help them, or worse, that I would cause them harm. As a result of this fear, I became a very cautious therapist. With my anxious and overly cautious approach, I can see clearly now how I was actually causing harm and thwarting treatment–although I would have vehemently argued this 20 years ago. My anxiety had its upside though, as it compelled me to accrue more and more training. By the mid–90s, I had become trained in every known treatment, the whole "alphabet soup" of protocols, which had shown efficacy and/or effectiveness in treating traumatic stress. ... • 19. The Core Concept Of Nlp The core concept of NLP According to Bandlers own defition of NLP, the system is: A model of interpersonal communication chiefly concerned with the relationships between successful patterns of behaviour and the subjective experiences (esp. patterns of thought) underlying them. The idea is that all of humans share the same basic neurology. Your ability to do things in life essentially therefore depends on how you control your nervous system. Furthermore, NLP states your neurological system is directly related to your linguistic and behavioural patterns. Since all of them are essentially learned through experience, or programming, you can also gain control of these aspects with the right modelling. The idea is that external behaviours are controlled by internal processing strategies. So while you are making a sale, for example, you are using an internal processing strategy to engage in the behaviour, even if you don't consciously know it. With NLP, you are able to understand and utilise different strategies, which can ultimately help you achieve certain goals. For example, if you are looking to improve your social status, you can learn internal strategies that help you achieve this. The term neuro–linguistic programming could also be viewed through each component. Neuro refers to the neurological system – the world is experiences through senses and the sensory information is translated into our thought processes, both consciously and unconsciously. • 21. Common Strategies Of Explaining Human Behavior Common strategies of NLP The idea of NLP is heavily based on the ideas of strategy, as it sees your internal and external behaviour uses processing strategies for each behaviour and response. The system uses different ideas of strategies as part of explaining human behaviour, as well as a way to change it. The most common strategies of NLP are dealt in short–detail below. There are further strategies used and some of the strategies and the way they are applied depend on the context of use. Modelling The basis of the NLP theory was built around modelling. Modelling is considered as a means of finding out about a person's belief system, as well as physiology. It is also used in terms of understanding the person's mental strategies, which in turn influence the other two aspects of thinking and behaviour. Modelling essentially tried to find the strategies or mental behaviour patterns the person uses for doing things. An example of modelling could be about how a person learns a new skill. In order to learn to speak Spanish, the person would need to model three things. First, to learn the vocabulary. This simply means understanding that gato means cat, for instance. Then the person would need to learn syntax. This means the ability to put these words together in order to make a sentence. For example, the ability to say "Me llamo John", "My name is John". Finally, the third part of modelling would be about understanding the mouth movements. Different languages have a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The assessment method must take into account the characteristic of the learner and needs to be consistent and relevant to what is being assessed. As assessors we all have to attend a standardisation to ensure that we are all assessing and judging work to the same standards. Both of them claim that successful people have exceptional skills and behaviors but ordinary people can shape their existing skills and behaviors to reach the level where successful people reached. Introduction to NLP Presuppositions. Presuppositions are our thoughts that we make every day to something what is or what is not, true in a given situation. In this study, in the first part, some background information was given about what Neuro–Linguistic programming (NLP) is, and whether NLP was used in language teaching before. To put forward whether NLP is effective in language teaching, general questions related to NLP are to be asked to language teachers in questionnaires and interviews. The collected data were analyzed in tables and graphics by using numerical system. According to the findings, the hypothesis and the results were once more examined in the conclusion part. 1. (Darn, 2005:1) The name "Neurolinguistic Programming" might lead one to expect that it is based on the science of Neurolinguistic and that it also draws on behaviorist theories of learning. However, in NLP neuro refers to beliefs about the brain and how it functions: the literature on NLP does not refer to theory and research in neurolinguistics. Stanford 1 Moriah Stanford Mr. Stuart Grunder Psychology 21 August 2014 Acrophobia "A phobia is defined as an irrational fear that produces a conscious avoidance of the feared subject, activity or situation." In Adrian Preda's article "Phobic Disorders", it was said that many people have multiple specific phobias. The average person with specific phobia fears around 3 objects and/or situations, and approximately 75% of people with specific phobia fear more than 1 situation or object. (Adrian Preda, "Phobic Disorders"). Acrophobia comes from the fear of falling and being injured or even killed. This is normally the result of a traumatic experience from a point in someone's life. The purpose of this paper is to give some background knowledge on phobias, specifically Acrophobia: fear of heights. Also, about the symptoms and causes, some case studies and the treatments for Acrophobia. Phobic disorders are one of the most common forms of psychiatric illness. There are so many different phobias. Some examples are, Social Anxiety Disorder, Agoraphobia: the fear of being alone in public places, Cynophobia: the fear of dogs, and Arachnophobia: the fear of spiders. Anxiety is a big common factor when experiencing phobic disorders. However, coaching should never be mistaken with the relationship between a psychologist and its patient, as most people tend to. Understanding one's core values, principles, prejudices and behavioral patterns that lead to choices and course of action is important. Coaching has been proven helpful, even when it was a basic mentorship relation. It has now been taken to the next level, enabling a participant to overcome the blockage set by a mentor's lack of time and interest. Being a professional relationship (even if beautiful friendships have developed between coaches and trainees after the end of a program) helps both parties to remain emotionally stable, an asset which most mentoring relations fail to achieve. An anchor is a specific word which represents behaviors classically conditioned to evoke a specific response. This response can be cognitive or behavioral. An anchor does not need to be to be reinforced with its response and it does not need to be conditioned over a period of time. Language is a common anchoring system. For example, the word dog will be an auditory anchor to an image of four legged animal that barks, an effective anchor with little cognitive effort. The smell of a hospital or a family member screaming in anger is examples of anchors that have been unintentionally installed and they operate out of an individual's awareness and direct control. Neuro Linguistic Programming operates to install new anchors which work just as well as these unintentional anchors and work toward evoking a response that increases the behavioral flexibility of a person and it is through these anchors that changes can be made in the strategies of thought. Using NLP a therapist can establish a map of one's cognitive representation of the world and place anchors that be established in a clients strategies that provoke responses that differ from those expected using their original strategy.
