Research Paper Assignment
Introduction:
The purpose of this assignment is to conduct research and delve more in depth about a topic from
information technology management of your choosing then demonstrate your knowledge on the topic or
area by providing a thorough and well-written research paper. This assignment serves to not only
promote but also provide students a chance to demonstrate their strong and quality critical thinking and
writing skills.
Assignment Structure and Instructions:
The requirement of this assignment is to choose a topic or area that pertains to information technology
management, research that topic using credible sources, assimilate the information, and then write a
research paper on that topic or area including a reference list.
Specifically, you will need to write a 1,500 word research paper using a minimum of 5 credible sources
cited in APA 6th edition style that covers the below main areas. Only the paper itself counts toward the
word count requirement. The cover page, header, footer, and reference list do not count toward the word
count requirement.
Introduction stating the topic or area and giving a brief overview of your paper. This is an
opportunity to demonstrate and convey your interest in the topic by generating interest in the
reader. Write an engaging and interesting introduction that makes the reader want to read your
paper but keep this section of the paper to only a few sentences.
