The USS Ford (FFG-54) is a guided missile frigate
decommissioned on October 31, 2014, that was once
the most common type of ship in the US Navy’s
surface fleet (Oliver Hazard Perry class). Designated
primarily for convoy and battle group duty, the USS
Ford was designed for surface, anti-air, and anti-
submarine warfare.
