Five Habits Of Highly Effective People
Goals of a Leader in Healthcare Staffing
One of the 7 habits of highly effective people is to begin with the end in mind. When I learned this
habit a few years ago I implemented this thought process not only in my personal life but more
importantly my professional life. I know where I want to end, and that is running my own staffing
company generating millions in revenue for my family versus for someone else. In order to
accomplish this there are goals that I will need to achieve over the next 2–3 years to ensure I start
the company and I am successful. The short term goals I need to achieve are financial rewards,
becoming relevant to the board members in the event of an sell, and grow the Nursing division by
25% in the first year. The long term goals are strategic in that I will build an extremely strong
leadership team that could potentially assist me in running my organization, and to hold a President
role to increase my credibility with potential investors. I am confident that if I achieve both my long
term and short term goals I will be set up for success to launch my own staffing company.
Financial Rewards
It will be important when I am considered for funding for my company, that I am financially sound.
If I am able to earn a monthly commission of $6,000.00 this will ensure I can save my annual salary.
This monthly commission will allow me to live very comfortably, and even move closer to my job
to cut down on my commute. All of these creating a happy and healthy

Research Paper On Walt Disney Company
Walt Disney Company The document that is prepared the by proprietors with the help of experts,
and it outlines the goal of the business, a justification why they are attainable, and a guideline of
how operations will be carried out to attain the goals is referred to as a business plan. A business
plan determines the failure or success of business since it gives the foundation of how the business
will be conducted, but the success does not come from the expertise of preparing the plan, the
success mainly comes from how effective the plan is implemented. Therefore, this paper shall focus
on the implementation plan Walt Disney Company.

The vision of the company is making people happy while its mission is to be one of the leading
producers and be the world's information and entertainment provider and using its portfolio brand to
differentiate its services, consumer products and content (Thomas, 1994). The company operates
using Strategic Business Unit (SBU) structure and usually has five units namely: the consumer
products, parks and resorts, media networks, studio entertainment and interactive media. In its
hierarchy, the company does not have a position for Chief operational officers (COO), but the
Chairman of Walt Disney acts as the COO.
The mission, organizational structure and the strategy of the company, indicates that the company is
growth oriented and aims to provide excellent services to its customers. However, lack of COO
indicates that the company's decisions making seems to be centralized. There are some positive
aspects indicated by the mission and the strategy of the company. It clear that the company focuses
on their customers and they aim at differencing their products through branding. It also worth to

SWOT Analysis Of The PESTLE Model
The PESTLE model applies the political economic social technological legal and environmental
climate to assess the effect on the goals and objectives of the practice.
(See Figure 1)
Kurt Lewins "force field "theory adds demographics and cultural effects to this mix. A SWOT
analysis can be applied in conjunction with these to highlight the strengths weaknesses and the
opportunities and threats that will impact the practice (See Appendix III)
Figure 1
Workforce Management Tools (WFM) are utilised to allocate tasks to individual skills, with time
lines and other parameters. This aims to maximise efficiency and quality of service offered. OFP
ensure that the organisational (National Health Service England NHSE), the team (GP Practice) and
the individual (staff) goals are clear, well managed and aligned. This should maximise efficiency
and quality of service (Valls et al 2009).
The cost of labour (workforce) is a significant cost. The impact if workforce "relevant skills" are
lacking is an increase in cost and time taken to perform tasks and a decrease in productivity (Capece
and Costa 2009) (Capece and Bazzica 2013).
Reduce cost of labour without compromising quality (Van der Bergh et al 2013) – pursue both
simultaneously.
There is distinction between front line and back office activity. Front office (reception staff) have
continuous interaction with patients supported by technology (the clinical system – Systmone), the
back office staff rely on standardised procedures and

My Personal Writing : My Goals In School
During the first years of my life common goals of mine were to stop peeing the bed and eat all my
supper, a luxury compared to today. Goals are inevitable, whether the thought comes to mind or not,
but the most obvious way to describe goals is evolving. Goals will shift as new problems arise or
dreams flow in mind. My own goals were well thought out, but never put into words, creating
difficulties to refine them. Now, fine–tuned and sorted, my goals hit many sides of the spectrum
from weight lifting all the way to word choice within the essays. The grammar makes or breaks
writing, my goal is for it to make it. A stereotypical goal, yes, but I want to set myself apart from
other high school writers to catch the eye of not only teachers but also potential careers. My writing
will excel in this class, but it may carry over to other classes and future jobs. A positive domino
effect is created because if I work at my writing in this class then other classes will benefit with
gorgeous writing coming out of oblivion. Colleges look for writing that exceeds the average and if I
start now then it will put me ahead of the competition. All of the reasons in mind, a simple answer is
generated, this is my first goal. The heart of schools, lifeline of sports, a scattered tide that leaves
just as fast as it enters; school spirit makes school an enjoyable experience and I believe Shell Lake
is lacking it. As an athlete, hearing the crowd roar in excitement or chant "who's got the hit,"

Personal Goals
As with most people engaged in this class, I have contemplated the question: what do I want to
accomplish with my life? This intricate question burdens many people, not just those of us that have
chosen to continue our education. I have seen it with my own children as they contemplate which
career path will lead them to a comfortable life with financial stability. My most obvious goal and
reason for enrolling in University of Phoenix is like every other student: to complete this program
and earn my degree. However, the fruition of my goal ultimately depends on the fulfillment of
smaller, more personal ambitions. My first objective was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I want to utilize my current skill set and be given the opportunity to stretch the capacity of my mind
to continue to read, learn, and comprehend new knowledge as it presents itself. I believe that life is
an education program and I continue to encounter new knowledge every day. While I may consider
some of the learnt items miniscule, I know that ultimately they influence my life and the decisions I
make.
I have been employed in the hospitality industry for almost 20 years. While engaging, it has become
somewhat of a complacent, day–to–day routine. My original goal was to find a vehicle to move me
into an alternative direction. In some of my past jobs I had always excelled when it came to numbers
so accounting positions came naturally for me. The dilemma, however, was that my personality
conflicted with the facet of accounting positions that required being stuck behind a desk and
pressing out spreadsheets. I found that although I was an individual that uniquely enjoyed
accounting I also enjoyed the ability to be in the driver's seat and guide the operations of a business.
For that reason, the natural aspiration that soon developed was the goal of operating my own
business. Since accomplishing this goal, I now have an established practice that provides financial
statement preparation and accounting services to small organizations. While I have the skill set to
perform the tasks required by my career

More Than Just A Game
More Than Just A Game
The atmosphere warming up was silent, you could hear a pin drop. The field was a perfect shade of
green with a hint of dew on the tips of each piece of grass. Yesterday, my team AC Sandhills was
defeated 7–0 in our first game of the 2012 Mother's Day Tournament. There was no energy in
anyone at the moment, including myself. We thought the next game would just be like the first,
another blowout. We thought we were done in this tournament, but little did I know this would be
the game where everything would change. My coach JR noticed that we were not ourselves in our
warmup. So right before kickoff he gave us a speech about how to bounce back after a horrendous
defeat. "When I was in college, we lost our first game of the season off of an own goal 1–0. You
know what happened in the next game? We won, 4–0. Do you know how we won? Because we
moved on. We focused on what we had to do in the next game and we forgot about the last one.
That's what I want you guys to do." His motivational words filled me and the rest of my team with a
hunger for victory.
We walked out onto the field with a ton of energy but right as the whistle blew you could tell we
were not playing at all as a team. We were getting dominated all over the field. Pass after pass from
the other team, touching the ball was a gift for our team. Then, about 10 minutes into the game, a
player on the opposing team received a pass and dribbled through our defense like it was non–
existent. He weaved

There are many potential sources of conflict. Today's organizations are characterized by complex
relationships and a high degree of task interdependence, so friction can easily occur. Moreover, the
goals of the parties are often incompatible, especially when the parties compete for limited resources
(Weihrich & Koontz, 2005). This holds true for Tupperware Brands, as there is a high degree of task
interdependence between the departments comprising each division of the corporation. Hence,
friction can easily occur also, especially that each department has their own goals to achieve that
may or may not be in favour of the goals of the other departments.
It was mentioned that one major source of conflict is when the goal of the parties are incompatible,
especially when parties compete for limited resources but as for Tupperware Brands, the
departments do not compete for limited resources but they do pursue different goals in achieving
their division's goal of producing a functionally and aesthetically quality product at the lowest cost

Strategies For College Student Success
If you want to be successful as a college student you need to understand these three strategies.
Setting goals are the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goals you are going to
have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and you would have
trouble finding a career that will provide for you. When planning for success you must make good
choices on the path you are going to choose. The wrong path will put you somewhere that is going
to take you off track of your goals. For example, it can lead you to get lazy, partying too much and
skipping school. You must stay on top of schoolwork and not fall behind. Now that you understand
what a goal is, you might be wondering what the different types of goals ... Show more content on

The second one is a short–term goal. This is something you want to do in the near future. To
demonstrate, you can do it next week, this month or even next year. The last one is a mid–term goal.
Now a mid–term goal is what you do after you have graduated college. In case, you want to buy a
house, start a business or start a family. In order to set a proper goal, you need to use the SMART
system. The SMART system stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time–bound.
The first step in setting a goal is it should be specific. According to the college orientation and
success book "the more concrete a goal is, the more likely you are to achieve it and you need to
begin by answering the who, what, where, why and how to help avoid goals that are too general".
The second step is goals should be measurable. You need to set up concrete criteria for your goal by
choosing specific dates, numbers or milestones to help you stay on track. As an illustration, "I will
read thirty pages a day". The third step is goals should be attainable. It's good to dream and
challenge yourself, but goals should also relate to our personal strengths and abilities. Setting

Life Goals
When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps. –
Confucius ("Confucius Quotes"). Everyone has goals, whether they be small or very large is up to
the person. Furthermore, I believe by setting goals and planning on how to achieve those goals, they
become more achievable. My life goals are to own the Houston Rockets, be the Commander of a
spaceship, and obtain a superpower.
In order to achieve one of my biggest goals, I need Leslie Alexander's job. The successful business
man is the owner of the prestigious Houston Rockets, a team in the National Basketball
Association(NBA). In order to achieve this goal, I would need to somehow come up with 1.25

Another goal of mine is to somehow get a superpower, therefore making me a super hero. Whether I
get struck by lightning like the flash, or get bitten by a super spider, having a super power sounds
like an amazing ability. Being able to do something no one else on the planet can do makes you
unique, people look up to you, and people respect you. I'd be using my powers for good, but if in the
wrong hands a "superpower" could easily be used for evil. In order to achieve this, I will try my best
to do science experiments, get bitten by radioactive spiders, or find a hero with a super suit.
Although super suits aren't an actual super power, I believe they can be used in lieu of powers in
order to protect people. Ironman, Antman, or even Daredevil; all of these heroes are men in
powerful suits with fighting experience, defending their cities from evil. It takes good character and
honor to be able to do the right thing and help those in need, so that has always been a goal of mine.
I'd need good communication with the city or area I protect, they'd need me to be able to respond
quickly and effectively at a moment's notice. I wouldn't want to be one of the "in the shadows"
heroes, I love heroes who interact with the city people they protect. In order to do that my
communications and speaking skills would need to be developed so people continue to believe in

groups can affect one's behavior, but also one can influence their own environment and regulate
their own behavior. A theory like this one can be very beneficial when trying to predict new

What Is Your Goals Essay
Goals are more than just things we want to achieve because goals create a roadmap for success.
Goals remind us why we do what we do, why we are where we are. Without goals, we would not
have starting points and destinations to reach. My main goal is to live my life to the fullest with my
family and friends by my side. I also want to travel the world, get to experience other cultures and
traditions, and meet new people. My final goal is to live in a big house (in the future) preferably a
two story, this would give me a lot of space for my stuff. To accomplish these goals, I need to be a
happy person, do good in school, get a great job and have a lot of money.

family members have big houses and it's just awesome to be there I also want to pursue this goal
because since I want to live my life to the fullest, I am going to need a big house to make that
become reality. To pursue this goal, I am going to need to do research to find a find a house of my

need to real estate website and keep scrolling until I find I house that I like. To pursue this goal, I
will need a good job to be able to buy a house, not a lot of money will be needed since houses in Las
Vegas are not that expensive. If I lived in California, then I would need a lot of money because
houses are double or triple the cost of houses here. Most second–class families live with other
second–class families in the same house for that reason. When I lived in California, my family and I
lived with another family in the same house to split up the payments. This goal is very likely to

means to make a plan for yourself which you like to achieve so that after every goal you can feel

have to have realistic and do–able goals not those that we will never complete. For my own goals, I

Identify Your Own Learning Needs / Goals
1. Identify your own learning needs/goals. It 's funny how things happen, because this topic was also
covered at the end of the day in debrief, but the goal I set out for myself this morning was to get
better at working on a task and continue working on it even when the client is talking. I often find
myself pausing in the middle of care when the client starts speaking. This habit may arise out of
respect and my not wanting the client to think I am disinterested in what they are trying to
communicate to me. However, this can be a time consuming practice which is why I 'd like to shake
this habit before I begin my own practice after graduation. 2. Describe and/or reflect on feedback
received from others. I had a wonderfully uplifting bit of feedback from a resident this morning after
I completed her care. I hadn 't felt like I 'd done anything especially out of the ordinary. It was
standard care. Even so, just before I was about to take this resident out to the kitchen for breakfast,
she gave me an appreciative, toothy smile, and asked if I could help her get ready the next day, as
well. Apparently, she liked my gentle touch and the steady but composed manner in which I carried
out her care. It was a lovely way to start off the morning and week! 3. Describe situations in which
learning occurred. The cottage I was placed in this practicum recently received a new resident. A
stroke patient, she does not speak. Very little is know about her care requirements, as a

The Success Is The Accomplishment Of One's Goals
One of the meanings of the word success is the accomplishment of one's goals. Throughout our lives
we make a lot of goals because we want to be happy with ourselves. The majority of the time we
make a goal it's because we are motivated. We get ready to do anything it takes to accomplish our
goals because we believe we can. But people set aside their goals for numerous reasons. I myself
have set aside goals of my own numerous of times. The one goal that seems to bother me often is
working out on a consistent basis because I feel that I am very unsuccessful in this category.
Working out is very important to me because It's something I want to do for the rest of my life. Not
only does working out make me feel happy and productive, I care a lot about what my body looks
like. After reading Chapters One through Nine in Jeff Olson's The Slight Edge: Turning Simple
Disciplines into Massive Success & Happiness, I have come to the realization of why people who
are capable of success, never see it. He explains that there are small things we can do daily that will
lead us to a life of success. In Chapter One "The Beach Bum and The Millionaire" Olson calls these
things, "simple daily disciplines" (10). For these past three weeks I have been religiously practicing
Olson's guidelines and my progress has been unsteady.
My first problem that I have encountered while trying to accomplish my goal is, after about a week
of my workouts I started losing motivation to continue every day. I felt

Short Term Goals
Title of Your Report Tony Robbins once said "goals are like magnets, they'll attract the thing that
makes them true". Goals are always needed, they help one grow in life. Having goals gives more
encouragement to someone so they can complete it. Goals can always help someone out in different
types of ways, it can be personal, academic, performance. As long as you make it a goal, it's most
likely to happen. Here are some of my own goals. There are such things as short term goals, which
are goals that can be completed within the upcoming months. These are my short term goals. In the
next year I want to keep all of my grades above a C–. The purpose of this goal is to get me to keep
doing my work throughout the entire school year. This year I want to have at least decent grades
when passing, instead of barely passing. Doing extracurricular activities I think would be fun and

Do You Want To Achieve Your Goals
Chapter 2:
Do you want to Achieve Your Goals?
Creating your mindset to succeed
Everyone in this world has its own goal. Whether to win that football game on Saturday night, claim
the employee of the year award of your company or to be able to spend a nice and relaxing vacation
at the Maldives.
Creating your mindset to succeed is the very first step when achieving your goal. This is where it
will all start. This is the part where you can create your plans and how you can make it happen. This
is where you will think of strategies on how you can overcome the challenges that may keep you
from achieving your goals. This is going to be the blueprint of your goal.
You would always hear people saying "It's only in the mind". Yes it is. Most of the time, successful
people in the world start with a goal; they visualize their plan and make it happen. Why? Because no
goal or dream just appear from thin air. Planning and setting always comes first. ... Show more

You should ask yourself, what are you passionate about? What is your purpose in life? When you
are able to answer those two questions, you will realize that this goal that you have set up for
yourself to succeed is really for you. You'll realize that there will be no "what ifs" and you will be

The Accomplishment Of One 's Goal
Success is something people want but don't know how to achieve.Success is the accomplishment of
one's goal. Certain habits however need to be developed in life that help insure success. Many of the
three stated as habits to be successful in life are resilience, self– motivation and setting goals. In
order to be successful the habits that can be encounter are resilience which turn your greatness into
success after a difficult experience, which we need to be self–motivated which helps to embrace the
pain that can be a part of the success and allows us to set goals for ourself. Resilience is the key to
success that enables people to move through hardship and become better. No one escapes pain, fear
and suffering. Yet from pain can come wisdom, from fear can come courage, from suffering can
come strength. A lot of people misunderstand It 's not about "bouncing back." Resilient people do
not "bounce back" from hardship. We cannot "bounce back" because we cannot go back in time. You

Personal Narrative: The Wise Choice Process
In life, we all have dreams and desires of what we'd like to accomplish. These thoughts are generally
wishful thinking and are unobtainable. Although, to accomplish the tasks we can complete, we have
an obligation to ourselves to create goals. In order to reach these goals and not stray from our
original path, we have what's called The Wise Choice Process. This process contains six steps that
empower you and help you take control of your life. Personally, my goal is to be able to give a tarot
card reading without having to refer to my manual. I'm faced with the predicament of being a novice
card reader who's unable to read cards quickly and efficiently. It seems as though every card I pull, I

Personal Action Plan: Stress Management
Kyrie Hannaford
Southern New Hampshire University
What is Stress? Stress is a physical response to events whether bad or good. Everybody has stress
but, not all stress is bad stress. Stress can be caused by both environment and genes. There are at
least three different types of stress routine stress (everyday stress), sudden stress brought about by a
sudden negative change, and traumatic stress which can happen when you're seriously ill. Stress is

Themes In Tao Te Ching
The ideas presented in the Tao Te Ching are similar to those of the Bhagavadgita in many ways.
There is an emphasis on ridding oneself of worldly desires so that one can have self control over
their own senses since "Conquering yourself is true strength" (Addiss, Page 33). The Tao suggests
that creating order can be good, as long as one eventually allows the creation to undergo its own
journey and not try to dictate it. "Give birth and do not possess. Excel but do not rule" (Addiss, Page
10). There are numerous references about what makes a good ruler in the Tao. "I do nothing and
people transform themselves. I enjoy serenity and people govern themselves" (Addiss, Page 57).
The idea that when people are left to themselves they eventually are ... Show more content on

Throughout his life he had forsaken his goals, for the goals of the Japanese emperor. In doing so, he
had performed acts against the prisoners that he felt were morally wrong. "He had always used his
powers for the sake of the empire and the emperor. His idea of his own goodness, though, was
becoming harder and harder to hold on to" (Flanagan, Page 349). This quote shows that one can
spend their whole life serving a master, but at the end of life, it is not enough to follow the rules set
by those above one, but one must feel as if they attained and followed their own moral standards.
The theme present in the Tao and the Bhagavadgita that entails forsaking worldly possessions and
desires would create a more group oriented mentality and would allow all humans a basic standard
of living. Instead of having an extreme wage gap between classes, all people could have their
necessities provided for. A world in which possessions were not as highly valued would lead to less
stealing, an ideal presented in the Bhagavadgita. All these factors practiced together would lead to a
more peaceful, group–oriented, non discriminatory

Decrease Of The Behavior Of Perfectionism
This major term paper is designed to show the decrease of the behaviour of "perfectionism" within a
20 year old, male university student. This paper is designed to achieve a more realistic and
sustainable lifestyle as well as to decrease the negative effects of "perfectionism" and effective ways
of dealing with this type of behaviour. Negative effects of "perfectionism" typically include
depression, anxiety, OCD, deterioration of social aspects and emotional aspects. In the past methods
he has used included maintain outside social relations, decreasing the withdrawal period after an

Education In High School
Education has always played an important role in my life. Being the oldest child I have always felt
the pressure of needing to do my very best in everything that I do. This has its benefits, but it also
has its discouragements. Being pushed to do my absolute best is something that I am thankful for
today because it was brought me along the path of being the best student I can be and it helped set
an example for my younger brother.
When I got into high school I went through many things that could have put me behind in my
studies but I decided that I was going to push through my hardships and be the best student I was
made to be. By the time I was a junior in high school it became very clear that I was going to have
all the credits I needed to graduate by the end of the first semester, and that I would be able to
graduate a whole year early if that was something I desired. Who wouldn't want to finish high
school a whole year early? Before I jumped the gun on that idea my counselor told me about a
program where I would be able to attend a college my senior year of high school, for completely
free. That is where I ended up and in the fall of 2014, I started at Cincinnati Christian University as
a PSEO student. I took a lot of general education courses and was off to a fantastic start for college.
Cincinnati Christian University is not where I wanted to stay though, I wanted to become a Nurse
Anesthetist, although I fell in love with CCU. When I transferred, I was not feeling

How Stress Affects Our Bodies, Minds, And Well Being
"The term "stress", as it is currently used was coined by Hans Selye in 1936, who defined it as the
"non–specific response of the body to any demand for change" (What is Stress?). In my opinion,
stress is very relevant to psychologists because it shows them how it affects our bodies, minds, and
well–being. By studying what stresses us and how we handle it, they are able to determine certain
health effects and behaviors. Stress plays a big role in our lives because it mostly defines the way we
approach situations, it determines the way we act, talk, and see things; everyone reacts to stress
differently.
After reading both "How to Predict Who Will Suffer the Most from Stress" and "Stress Changes
How People Make Decisions", I found myself being able to relate certain situations to my own
personal and professional life. With the first article (How to Predict Who Will Suffer the Most from
Stress) I can definitely agree that during the beginning of a term or semester, I feel more calm and
enthusiastic about my classes. I am eager to learn and willing to do all my homework without
thinking twice; I make sure to make enough time to finish all my coursework. With the pass of time
though, with an ever changing retail schedule, I find myself stressing out more as final exams,
milestones, and activities get closer to their deadline; also, I find myself procrastinating more than
before which is terrible but part of my stress sometimes. This is something that in my opinion is
easy to fix

Developing and leading teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives
Understand the importance of leading teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives
Assess the effectiveness of own organisation in measuring team performance against organisation
goals and objectives
In this section I will be assessing how the University and the Estates Office measure team
performance against goals and objectives.
In my opinion the university at times struggles to measure team performance against its goals and
objectives as I believe that the objectives are too vague and are not always fully understood by the
people who are meant to be achieving them. A lot of this I believe is down to the size of the
university and the very distinct ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Within the Estates Office and around the University, there are numerous people who have spent their
whole or at least a majority of their careers within the University and are adverse to change, this can
make them difficult to performance manage as they know the system and have a least a perceived
advantage of knowledge over the newer members of staff. The Estates office has a perceived, if not
an actual issue, with the performance management of some staff, this in turn creates more individual
issues especially around Performance Development Review (PDR) when certain members of staff
have lost all faith in the review and the outcomes of these reviews. This all relates back to team
performance being managed and feedback being given in the correct manner.
Evaluate the role of leadership helping teams to achieve organisational goals and objectives
In this section, I will be looking at leadership and how leadership helps teams to achieve their and
the organizations goals and objectives.
Within any successful team, you will find leaders, it need not be the manager, and it doesn't have to
be the same person all the time, you only have to look at any successful sports team to see that there
are numerous leaders and within the team each person knows the role they have to perform at any
set moment and can change as the situation needs. This has been well explained in the Belbin Team
Architecture.

Structural tension is a type of mechanism in our brain from perspective of psychology. We need to

it as habit or discipline. This will activate our power of desire. When our power of desire increases,
our brain closes the gap between the current reality and the vision of our goal.

Imogene King's Theory Of Goal Attainment
Imogene King developed the Theory of Goal Attainment and based it on the belief that nursing
focuses on the care of people as a whole (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 144). The theory states
that there are many factors that effect the care of the patient, including the environment,
communication, the individual's health and interactions among patients, families and nurses
(Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 145–146). The environment consists of internal and external
factors that may effect patient care (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 146). The primary objective
and goal of nursing is to return the patient to their optimal level of health and ability to function as a
whole person (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 146). The Theory of Goal Attainment is separated
into three main systems, each with their own concepts: Personal systems, interpersonal systems, and
social systems (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 147). Personal Systems– consists of the individual
(patient and nurse together: Concepts: Perception–How an individual feels about or interprets
something. Self– How the individual perceives themselves on the inside. Growth and development–
The continuing changes of the inner and outer aspects of the individual Body image– How the
individual perceives themselves. Time– How long it takes between two separate events. Learning–

systems– consists of two people, three people, small group: Concepts: Communication–Expressing
needs, wants and ideas between more two or more people Interaction– more than one person
participating in a single task or alongside each other Role– Expected behaviors for each individual
Stress– Positive or negative in response to a particular event or stressor Transaction–"Goal–directed
human behavior." (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 148–149). Social Systems– consists of multiple
people or community/society Concepts: Organization– focusing on achieving set goals Authority–

Abstract: This paper will address the best plan for helping Joe, an 8 year old 2nd grader meet the

The text states, "When students are given a model of excellence, they have a better understanding of
the goal and of the teacher's expectation." (Evertson & Poole). I feel that it will be helpful for Joe to
actually see what the teacher is expecting of him and then the Title 1 teacher and help him meet that
expectation. To help Joe reach his second goal of increasing his confidence in his writing, his
teacher can create supportive settings and assigning appropriate tasks. The Star sheet states that,
"Students need to be able to connect the tasks of an assignment to their own experiences in learning
– culturally, academically, and personally" (Evertson & Poole). I believe that by assigning an
appropriate task which allows Joe to relate culturally, academically and personally and providing the
best setting for Joe, a teacher can help a lot with encouraging him to have confidence in his writing.
The best environment for this goal would be one of support. Allow him to relate his assignment to
who he is and provide him with support. Perhaps the teacher can let him know that there is no right
or wrong information that he can provide because it is based on who he is as an individual. To help
increase Joe's ability to read his writing aloud, the teacher can provide content instruction and timely
feedback. In my strategies for Joe's second goal I emphasized that "Students need to be able to

The Five Characteristics Of Grit
The five characteristic of grit are courage, conscientiousness(achievement oriented vs. dependable),
long term goals and the endurance to follow through, resilience (optimism, confidence, and
creativity), and excellence vs. perfection. The google definition of grit is" courage and resolve or
strength". To me, grit means you are a strong person, and can make it through any tough situation
with a smile on your face. Grit means you are a strong person and have the confidence and
perseverance to pick yourself up when you're down. I feel like people with a lot of grit can persevere
through anything. I think they are very capable of completing any long term and short term goals.
Grit is how you make your dreams come true. It is a fact, that scientists and professors don't know
how you acquire grit. Maybe sometimes you're born with it, maybe sometimes you acquire it.
Someday, I feel like we will figure it out. But it is also a fact that people with grit are generally more
successful people.

that I am not a failure; math is just not my best subject. What really matters though is that I put my

Difference Between Realistic And Nonrealistic Conflict
There are many was that people experience conflict throughout their day. This can include conflict
in the work place, at home, or even on video games. All these opportunities to collide with conflict
can make it difficult to determine what type of conflict is occurring, and reach the best possible
solution to the problem. There are certain cues that can be seen when dealing with realistic, and
nonrealistic conflict. These include then end goals related to the conflict, flexibility, and the interests
of the parties involved within the conflict. Also, the appropriate response to a non–realistic conflict
is to use force or coercion to resolve the issue. First realistic conflict produces different cues from
nonrealistic, and these can be used in determining the type of conflict that is being dealt with.
Realistic conflict "are based on disagreements over the means to an end or over the end themselves"

Interview About My Coaching Service
Introduction
Janet is a young single professional who has come to me for help. She earns a salary of $45,000
annually as an office manager at a local paper supply company. She likes the financial security of
her current employment but, dreams of starting her own business selling greeting cards and
stationary. She believes that she has much more potential than her current job offers yet the financial
risk of venturing out on her own stops her from moving forward. Janet desires to experience more
out of life; therefore, her ambition for greater things has her constantly thinking of striking out on
her own.
Background Information
Janet has contacted me over the telephone to find out more about my coaching services. I have
found over the years that an initial telephone contact helps uncover several objectives prior to
meeting an individual face–to–face. First, our initial telephone conversation develops trust and
rapport followed by identifying if our personalities will be a good fit for the coaching process.
Finally, as the individual tells me their problem and answers my open–ended questions, it helps me
decide if my coaching services will benefit them. I find that Janet has several strengths working for
her; for example, her position as office manager at her current job shows leadership qualities
required in owning a business. Janet's knowledge of the paper supply industry lessens the learning
curve of opening a company selling greeting cards and stationary.

them? What I will cover in this article is the 9 biggest obstacles that will get in your way. I will take

How Does Goal Displacement Affect Society
Everyone has those times when they wonder about where they are in life and if they truly are doing
the best they are capable of. That statement there is one of the most glossed over issues in society.
We are always told what needs to be done, and how to get it done in good quality and time.
Businesses and people in general are relying more and more on goal oriented ideals, which isn't a
bad thing, except for when it becomes a straight routine and monotonous. Then we have the problem
of goal displacement. "Goal displacement is the process that occurs when the rules become an end in
themselves rather than a means to an end and organizational survival becomes more important than
achievement of goals." (Merton, 1968). Goal displacement is becoming ... Show more content on

Whether that be as simple as a to–do list or as complicated as a bucket list, or even having a budget
to go by. With more of people's lives becoming goal oriented we are seeing more rise in goal
displacement. Although, by far this is the hardest portion of society to tell signs because each person
has very different lives, and goes about them differently too. But just the same, the signs are there
when you look at the public on a larger scale. So many people have an outstanding debt, and yet,
still spend money making that debt greater. They don't have much of a choice considering the
economy, right? Wrong. The world may run on money, but there are programs that help manage debt
while people still go about their lives, and I am not talking about welfare. Welfare is where the goal
displacement is happening for people, because it's a federal program meant to help those in need
until they can get back on their feet, not to become their main income source. Don't let the rules
become an end for yourselves in pursuing a higher status or being a part of a better income bracket.
Yes, it may take time and seem unattainable, but time is all some have so why not use it for the good

Dealing with Poor Parenting Essay
As a teacher in a high–need school, I expect to encounter many various challenges ranging from
lack of supplies to administration blunders and difficult coworkers. Of all the trying situations a
teacher is faced with in his or her career, most challenging would be poor parenting. Parents have
the greatest influence in a child's development. They have the greatest impact on their children in
most if not all aspects of the child's personality and outlook on life. Parents, as caregivers and
guides, have a responsibility to push their children into the world and to encourage their children to
work hard towards their goals. Some take this duty much less earnestly than they ought to, resulting
in the types of parents that I often encounter in my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Worse, some have no interest in their children's activities at all. Children need to be nourished in
every sense of the term. Without this, their capacity to become successful and productive citizens is
handicapped. The sooner parents begin to recognize this crucial factor; the better off the children
will be in many ways. No attention at home relates to acting out in class. Negative attention (in
various forms of maltreatment) leads to lowered self–esteem, keeping the child from reaching their
true potential. As a teacher, all these home issues would act as barriers to my and my students'
academic goals within the classroom.
Through hard work, effective communication and parent–teacher collaboration, I think in most
cases, these difficulties can be overcome. Frequent contact with parents and encouragement for their
involvement would be great ways to make them aware of what their children require as support in
their academic pursuits. Parents and teachers ought to work together as partners, having the same
goals in mind when it comes to the children. However, I recognize that some parents can be quite
difficult. This issue, within high–need schools where children may come from unstable homes,
would be amplified. Fortunately for these children, I am known for never giving up on anyone.
Despite the sheer ignorance or viciousness of some of the parents I expect to encounter, I will
always try to

Five Habits Of Highly Effective People

  • 1. Five Habits Of Highly Effective People Goals of a Leader in Healthcare Staffing One of the 7 habits of highly effective people is to begin with the end in mind. When I learned this habit a few years ago I implemented this thought process not only in my personal life but more importantly my professional life. I know where I want to end, and that is running my own staffing company generating millions in revenue for my family versus for someone else. In order to accomplish this there are goals that I will need to achieve over the next 2–3 years to ensure I start the company and I am successful. The short term goals I need to achieve are financial rewards, becoming relevant to the board members in the event of an sell, and grow the Nursing division by 25% in the first year. The long term goals are strategic in that I will build an extremely strong leadership team that could potentially assist me in running my organization, and to hold a President role to increase my credibility with potential investors. I am confident that if I achieve both my long term and short term goals I will be set up for success to launch my own staffing company. Financial Rewards It will be important when I am considered for funding for my company, that I am financially sound. If I am able to earn a monthly commission of $6,000.00 this will ensure I can save my annual salary. This monthly commission will allow me to live very comfortably, and even move closer to my job to cut down on my commute. All of these creating a happy and healthy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Research Paper On Walt Disney Company Walt Disney Company The document that is prepared the by proprietors with the help of experts, and it outlines the goal of the business, a justification why they are attainable, and a guideline of how operations will be carried out to attain the goals is referred to as a business plan. A business plan determines the failure or success of business since it gives the foundation of how the business will be conducted, but the success does not come from the expertise of preparing the plan, the success mainly comes from how effective the plan is implemented. Therefore, this paper shall focus on the implementation plan Walt Disney Company. The paper shall have three sections, where the first section will focus on describing the company, the products ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The vision of the company is making people happy while its mission is to be one of the leading producers and be the world's information and entertainment provider and using its portfolio brand to differentiate its services, consumer products and content (Thomas, 1994). The company operates using Strategic Business Unit (SBU) structure and usually has five units namely: the consumer products, parks and resorts, media networks, studio entertainment and interactive media. In its hierarchy, the company does not have a position for Chief operational officers (COO), but the Chairman of Walt Disney acts as the COO. The mission, organizational structure and the strategy of the company, indicates that the company is growth oriented and aims to provide excellent services to its customers. However, lack of COO indicates that the company's decisions making seems to be centralized. There are some positive aspects indicated by the mission and the strategy of the company. It clear that the company focuses on their customers and they aim at differencing their products through branding. It also worth to note that the company's strategy is incorporated in its mission of product ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. SWOT Analysis Of The PESTLE Model The PESTLE model applies the political economic social technological legal and environmental climate to assess the effect on the goals and objectives of the practice. (See Figure 1) Kurt Lewins "force field "theory adds demographics and cultural effects to this mix. A SWOT analysis can be applied in conjunction with these to highlight the strengths weaknesses and the opportunities and threats that will impact the practice (See Appendix III) Figure 1 Workforce Management Tools (WFM) are utilised to allocate tasks to individual skills, with time lines and other parameters. This aims to maximise efficiency and quality of service offered. OFP ensure that the organisational (National Health Service England NHSE), the team (GP Practice) and the individual (staff) goals are clear, well managed and aligned. This should maximise efficiency and quality of service (Valls et al 2009). The cost of labour (workforce) is a significant cost. The impact if workforce "relevant skills" are lacking is an increase in cost and time taken to perform tasks and a decrease in productivity (Capece and Costa 2009) (Capece and Bazzica 2013). Reduce cost of labour without compromising quality (Van der Bergh et al 2013) – pursue both simultaneously. There is distinction between front line and back office activity. Front office (reception staff) have continuous interaction with patients supported by technology (the clinical system – Systmone), the back office staff rely on standardised procedures and ... • 7. My Personal Writing : My Goals In School During the first years of my life common goals of mine were to stop peeing the bed and eat all my supper, a luxury compared to today. Goals are inevitable, whether the thought comes to mind or not, but the most obvious way to describe goals is evolving. Goals will shift as new problems arise or dreams flow in mind. My own goals were well thought out, but never put into words, creating difficulties to refine them. Now, fine–tuned and sorted, my goals hit many sides of the spectrum from weight lifting all the way to word choice within the essays. The grammar makes or breaks writing, my goal is for it to make it. A stereotypical goal, yes, but I want to set myself apart from other high school writers to catch the eye of not only teachers but also potential careers. My writing will excel in this class, but it may carry over to other classes and future jobs. A positive domino effect is created because if I work at my writing in this class then other classes will benefit with gorgeous writing coming out of oblivion. Colleges look for writing that exceeds the average and if I start now then it will put me ahead of the competition. All of the reasons in mind, a simple answer is generated, this is my first goal. The heart of schools, lifeline of sports, a scattered tide that leaves just as fast as it enters; school spirit makes school an enjoyable experience and I believe Shell Lake is lacking it. • 11. Personal Goals Essay Running head: PERSONAL GOALS Personal Goals Kevin University of Phoenix Personal Goals As with most people engaged in this class, I have contemplated the question: what do I want to accomplish with my life? This intricate question burdens many people, not just those of us that have chosen to continue our education. I have seen it with my own children as they contemplate which career path will lead them to a comfortable life with financial stability. My most obvious goal and reason for enrolling in University of Phoenix is like every other student: to complete this program and earn my degree. However, the fruition of my goal ultimately depends on the fulfillment of smaller, more personal ambitions. My first objective was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I want to utilize my current skill set and be given the opportunity to stretch the capacity of my mind to continue to read, learn, and comprehend new knowledge as it presents itself. I believe that life is an education program and I continue to encounter new knowledge every day. While I may consider some of the learnt items miniscule, I know that ultimately they influence my life and the decisions I make. I have been employed in the hospitality industry for almost 20 years. While engaging, it has become somewhat of a complacent, day–to–day routine. My original goal was to find a vehicle to move me into an alternative direction. In some of my past jobs I had always excelled when it came to numbers so accounting positions came naturally for me. The dilemma, however, was that my personality conflicted with the facet of accounting positions that required being stuck behind a desk and pressing out spreadsheets. I found that although I was an individual that uniquely enjoyed accounting I also enjoyed the ability to be in the driver's seat and guide the operations of a business. For that reason, the natural aspiration that soon developed was the goal of operating my own business. Since accomplishing this goal, I now have an established practice that provides financial statement preparation and accounting services to small organizations. While I have the skill set to perform the tasks required by my career ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. More Than Just A Game More Than Just A Game The atmosphere warming up was silent, you could hear a pin drop. The field was a perfect shade of green with a hint of dew on the tips of each piece of grass. Yesterday, my team AC Sandhills was defeated 7–0 in our first game of the 2012 Mother's Day Tournament. There was no energy in anyone at the moment, including myself. We thought the next game would just be like the first, another blowout. We thought we were done in this tournament, but little did I know this would be the game where everything would change. My coach JR noticed that we were not ourselves in our warmup. So right before kickoff he gave us a speech about how to bounce back after a horrendous defeat. "When I was in college, we lost our first game of the season off of an own goal 1–0. You know what happened in the next game? We won, 4–0. Do you know how we won? Because we moved on. We focused on what we had to do in the next game and we forgot about the last one. That's what I want you guys to do." His motivational words filled me and the rest of my team with a hunger for victory. We walked out onto the field with a ton of energy but right as the whistle blew you could tell we were not playing at all as a team. We were getting dominated all over the field. Pass after pass from the other team, touching the ball was a gift for our team. Then, about 10 minutes into the game, a player on the opposing team received a pass and dribbled through our defense like it was non– existent. He weaved ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are many potential sources of conflict. Today's organizations are characterized by complex relationships and a high degree of task interdependence, so friction can easily occur. Moreover, the goals of the parties are often incompatible, especially when the parties compete for limited resources (Weihrich & Koontz, 2005). This holds true for Tupperware Brands, as there is a high degree of task interdependence between the departments comprising each division of the corporation. Hence, friction can easily occur also, especially that each department has their own goals to achieve that may or may not be in favour of the goals of the other departments. It was mentioned that one major source of conflict is when the goal of the parties are incompatible, especially when parties compete for limited resources but as for Tupperware Brands, the departments do not compete for limited resources but they do pursue different goals in achieving their division's goal of producing a functionally and aesthetically quality product at the lowest cost as ... • 17. Strategies For College Student Success If you want to be successful as a college student you need to understand these three strategies. Setting goals are the most important thing you can do in your life. Without goals you are going to have no direction, no ambition to be successful, no drive to stay in school, and you would have trouble finding a career that will provide for you. When planning for success you must make good choices on the path you are going to choose. The wrong path will put you somewhere that is going to take you off track of your goals. For example, it can lead you to get lazy, partying too much and skipping school. You must stay on top of schoolwork and not fall behind. Now that you understand what a goal is, you might be wondering what the different types of goals ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The second one is a short–term goal. This is something you want to do in the near future. To demonstrate, you can do it next week, this month or even next year. The last one is a mid–term goal. Now a mid–term goal is what you do after you have graduated college. In case, you want to buy a house, start a business or start a family. In order to set a proper goal, you need to use the SMART system. The SMART system stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time–bound. The first step in setting a goal is it should be specific. According to the college orientation and success book "the more concrete a goal is, the more likely you are to achieve it and you need to begin by answering the who, what, where, why and how to help avoid goals that are too general". The second step is goals should be measurable. You need to set up concrete criteria for your goal by choosing specific dates, numbers or milestones to help you stay on track. As an illustration, "I will read thirty pages a day". The third step is goals should be attainable. It's good to dream and challenge yourself, but goals should also relate to our personal strengths and abilities. Setting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Everyone has goals, whether they be small or very large is up to the person. Furthermore, I believe by setting goals and planning on how to achieve those goals, they become more achievable. My life goals are to own the Houston Rockets, be the Commander of a spaceship, and obtain a superpower. In order to achieve one of my biggest goals, I need Leslie Alexander's job. Whether I get struck by lightning like the flash, or get bitten by a super spider, having a super power sounds like an amazing ability. Being able to do something no one else on the planet can do makes you unique, people look up to you, and people respect you. I'd be using my powers for good, but if in the wrong hands a "superpower" could easily be used for evil. In order to achieve this, I will try my best to do science experiments, get bitten by radioactive spiders, or find a hero with a super suit. Although super suits aren't an actual super power, I believe they can be used in lieu of powers in order to protect people. Ironman, Antman, or even Daredevil; all of these heroes are men in powerful suits with fighting experience, defending their cities from evil. It takes good character and honor to be able to do the right thing and help those in need, so that has always been a goal of mine. I'd need good communication with the city or area I protect, they'd need me to be able to respond quickly and effectively at a moment's notice. Social Cognitive, Resorted Action And Self-Determination Chapter three does a great job not only summarizing the three theories social cognitive, resorted action, and self–determination but also gives great examples how all three are unique in their own way. Social cognitive theory or self–efficacy, which is about how the environments around people or groups can affect one's behavior, but also one can influence their own environment and regulate their own behavior. A theory like this one can be very beneficial when trying to predict new behaviors, such as how likely someone will run one miles versus three miles. • 23. What Is Your Goals Essay Goals are more than just things we want to achieve because goals create a roadmap for success. Goals remind us why we do what we do, why we are where we are. Without goals, we would not have starting points and destinations to reach. My main goal is to live my life to the fullest with my family and friends by my side. • 27. Identify Your Own Learning Needs / Goals 1. Identify your own learning needs/goals. It 's funny how things happen, because this topic was also covered at the end of the day in debrief, but the goal I set out for myself this morning was to get better at working on a task and continue working on it even when the client is talking. I often find myself pausing in the middle of care when the client starts speaking. This habit may arise out of respect and my not wanting the client to think I am disinterested in what they are trying to communicate to me. However, this can be a time consuming practice which is why I 'd like to shake this habit before I begin my own practice after graduation. 2. Describe and/or reflect on feedback received from others. I had a wonderfully uplifting bit of feedback from a resident this morning after I completed her care. I hadn 't felt like I 'd done anything especially out of the ordinary. It was standard care. Even so, just before I was about to take this resident out to the kitchen for breakfast, she gave me an appreciative, toothy smile, and asked if I could help her get ready the next day, as well. Apparently, she liked my gentle touch and the steady but composed manner in which I carried out her care. It was a lovely way to start off the morning and week! 3. • 29. The Success Is The Accomplishment Of One's Goals One of the meanings of the word success is the accomplishment of one's goals. Throughout our lives we make a lot of goals because we want to be happy with ourselves. The majority of the time we make a goal it's because we are motivated. We get ready to do anything it takes to accomplish our goals because we believe we can. But people set aside their goals for numerous reasons. I myself have set aside goals of my own numerous of times. The one goal that seems to bother me often is working out on a consistent basis because I feel that I am very unsuccessful in this category. Working out is very important to me because It's something I want to do for the rest of my life. Not only does working out make me feel happy and productive, I care a lot about what my body looks like. After reading Chapters One through Nine in Jeff Olson's The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success & Happiness, I have come to the realization of why people who are capable of success, never see it. He explains that there are small things we can do daily that will lead us to a life of success. In Chapter One "The Beach Bum and The Millionaire" Olson calls these things, "simple daily disciplines" (10). For these past three weeks I have been religiously practicing Olson's guidelines and my progress has been unsteady. My first problem that I have encountered while trying to accomplish my goal is, after about a week of my workouts I started losing motivation to continue every day. I felt ... There is an emphasis on ridding oneself of worldly desires so that one can have self control over their own senses since "Conquering yourself is true strength" (Addiss, Page 33). The Tao suggests that creating order can be good, as long as one eventually allows the creation to undergo its own journey and not try to dictate it. "Give birth and do not possess. Excel but do not rule" (Addiss, Page 10). There are numerous references about what makes a good ruler in the Tao. "I do nothing and people transform themselves. Being the oldest child I have always felt the pressure of needing to do my very best in everything that I do. This has its benefits, but it also has its discouragements. Being pushed to do my absolute best is something that I am thankful for today because it was brought me along the path of being the best student I can be and it helped set an example for my younger brother. When I got into high school I went through many things that could have put me behind in my studies but I decided that I was going to push through my hardships and be the best student I was made to be. By the time I was a junior in high school it became very clear that I was going to have all the credits I needed to graduate by the end of the first semester, and that I would be able to graduate a whole year early if that was something I desired. Who wouldn't want to finish high school a whole year early? How Stress Affects Our Bodies, Minds, And Well Being "The term "stress", as it is currently used was coined by Hans Selye in 1936, who defined it as the "non–specific response of the body to any demand for change" (What is Stress?). In my opinion, stress is very relevant to psychologists because it shows them how it affects our bodies, minds, and well–being. By studying what stresses us and how we handle it, they are able to determine certain health effects and behaviors. Stress plays a big role in our lives because it mostly defines the way we approach situations, it determines the way we act, talk, and see things; everyone reacts to stress differently. After reading both "How to Predict Who Will Suffer the Most from Stress" and "Stress Changes How People Make Decisions", I found myself being able to relate certain situations to my own personal and professional life. With the first article (How to Predict Who Will Suffer the Most from Stress) I can definitely agree that during the beginning of a term or semester, I feel more calm and enthusiastic about my classes. I am eager to learn and willing to do all my homework without thinking twice; I make sure to make enough time to finish all my coursework. With the pass of time though, with an ever changing retail schedule, I find myself stressing out more as final exams, milestones, and activities get closer to their deadline; also, I find myself procrastinating more than before which is terrible but part of my stress sometimes. The Estates office has a perceived, if not an actual issue, with the performance management of some staff, this in turn creates more individual issues especially around Performance Development Review (PDR) when certain members of staff have lost all faith in the review and the outcomes of these reviews. This all relates back to team performance being managed and feedback being given in the correct manner. • 63. Imogene King's Theory Of Goal Attainment Imogene King developed the Theory of Goal Attainment and based it on the belief that nursing focuses on the care of people as a whole (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 144). The theory states that there are many factors that effect the care of the patient, including the environment, communication, the individual's health and interactions among patients, families and nurses (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 145–146). The environment consists of internal and external factors that may effect patient care (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 146). The primary objective and goal of nursing is to return the patient to their optimal level of health and ability to function as a whole person (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 146). The Theory of Goal Attainment is separated into three main systems, each with their own concepts: Personal systems, interpersonal systems, and social systems (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 147). Personal Systems– consists of the individual (patient and nurse together: Concepts: Perception–How an individual feels about or interprets something. Self– How the individual perceives themselves on the inside. Growth and development– The continuing changes of the inner and outer aspects of the individual Body image– How the individual perceives themselves. Time– How long it takes between two separate events. Learning– Understanding on a deeper level. space (Sitzman & Eichelberger, 2017, p. 147). BiancaRobertsonCaseStudy2 Essay The Iris Center for Faculty Enhancement Case Study Unit: Fostering Student Accountability for Classroom Work Bianca Robertson Liberty University Abstract: This paper will address the best plan for helping Joe, an 8 year old 2nd grader meet the goals designed for him by his teacher. Joe receives Title 1 reading tutoring and I will focus on strategies for helping Joe meet each of his goals. Joe has the ability to meet each of the three goals set for him, but it will take time, consistency and some adjustments from his teachers and himself. The setting that is most suitable for Joe in this particular situation is setting A. by having the Title 1 teacher teach the lesson each day that Joe would miss from class enables Joe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The text states, "When students are given a model of excellence, they have a better understanding of the goal and of the teacher's expectation." (Evertson & Poole). I feel that it will be helpful for Joe to actually see what the teacher is expecting of him and then the Title 1 teacher and help him meet that expectation. To help Joe reach his second goal of increasing his confidence in his writing, his teacher can create supportive settings and assigning appropriate tasks. The Star sheet states that, "Students need to be able to connect the tasks of an assignment to their own experiences in learning – culturally, academically, and personally" (Evertson & Poole). I believe that by assigning an appropriate task which allows Joe to relate culturally, academically and personally and providing the best setting for Joe, a teacher can help a lot with encouraging him to have confidence in his writing. The best environment for this goal would be one of support. Allow him to relate his assignment to who he is and provide him with support. Perhaps the teacher can let him know that there is no right or wrong information that he can provide because it is based on who he is as an individual. To help increase Joe's ability to read his writing aloud, the teacher can provide content instruction and timely feedback. In my strategies for Joe's second goal I emphasized that "Students need to be able to connect the tasks of an assignment to their own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Five Characteristics Of Grit The five characteristic of grit are courage, conscientiousness(achievement oriented vs. dependable), long term goals and the endurance to follow through, resilience (optimism, confidence, and creativity), and excellence vs. perfection. The google definition of grit is" courage and resolve or strength". To me, grit means you are a strong person, and can make it through any tough situation with a smile on your face. Grit means you are a strong person and have the confidence and perseverance to pick yourself up when you're down. I feel like people with a lot of grit can persevere through anything. I think they are very capable of completing any long term and short term goals. Grit is how you make your dreams come true. It is a fact, that scientists and professors don't know how you acquire grit. Maybe sometimes you're born with it, maybe sometimes you acquire it. Someday, I feel like we will figure it out. But it is also a fact that people with grit are generally more successful people. A grit factor I am currently making ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... perfection. I don't mean to be, but I can be a perfectionist. I like doing well, and if I don't get the highest grade or win first place it stresses me out. Like last week, for example, I got a B on a test that I studied really hard for. It stressed me out because I worked very hard, yet I still got a B. I just need to remember that a B is just fine, and realistically I should be happy with that. I need to remember to set realistic goals for myself, that way I won't set myself up for failure. I realize now that I am not a failure; math is just not my best subject. What really matters though is that I put my best effort in and give it my all. This will make me successful in the end, because I am putting all my effort into it and that put me on track to completing my short and long term goals for just about anything. Effort is the key to most ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She earns a salary of $45,000 annually as an office manager at a local paper supply company. She likes the financial security of her current employment but, dreams of starting her own business selling greeting cards and stationary. She believes that she has much more potential than her current job offers yet the financial risk of venturing out on her own stops her from moving forward. Janet desires to experience more out of life; therefore, her ambition for greater things has her constantly thinking of striking out on her own. Background Information Janet has contacted me over the telephone to find out more about my coaching services. I have found over the years that an initial telephone contact helps uncover several objectives prior to meeting an individual face–to–face. First, our initial telephone conversation develops trust and rapport followed by identifying if our personalities will be a good fit for the coaching process. Finally, as the individual tells me their problem and answers my open–ended questions, it helps me decide if my coaching services will benefit them. I find that Janet has several strengths working for her; for example, her position as office manager at her current job shows leadership qualities required in owning a business. Janet's knowledge of the paper supply industry lessens the learning curve of opening a company selling greeting cards and stationary. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 77. How Does Goal Displacement Affect Society Everyone has those times when they wonder about where they are in life and if they truly are doing the best they are capable of. That statement there is one of the most glossed over issues in society. We are always told what needs to be done, and how to get it done in good quality and time. Businesses and people in general are relying more and more on goal oriented ideals, which isn't a bad thing, except for when it becomes a straight routine and monotonous. Then we have the problem of goal displacement. "Goal displacement is the process that occurs when the rules become an end in themselves rather than a means to an end and organizational survival becomes more important than achievement of goals." (Merton, 1968). Goal displacement is becoming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Whether that be as simple as a to–do list or as complicated as a bucket list, or even having a budget to go by. With more of people's lives becoming goal oriented we are seeing more rise in goal displacement. Although, by far this is the hardest portion of society to tell signs because each person has very different lives, and goes about them differently too. But just the same, the signs are there when you look at the public on a larger scale. So many people have an outstanding debt, and yet, still spend money making that debt greater. They don't have much of a choice considering the economy, right? Wrong. The world may run on money, but there are programs that help manage debt while people still go about their lives, and I am not talking about welfare. Welfare is where the goal displacement is happening for people, because it's a federal program meant to help those in need until they can get back on their feet, not to become their main income source. Don't let the rules become an end for yourselves in pursuing a higher status or being a part of a better income bracket. Yes, it may take time and seem unattainable, but time is all some have so why not use it for the good of yourselves and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 79. Dealing with Poor Parenting Essay As a teacher in a high–need school, I expect to encounter many various challenges ranging from lack of supplies to administration blunders and difficult coworkers. Of all the trying situations a teacher is faced with in his or her career, most challenging would be poor parenting. Parents have the greatest influence in a child's development. They have the greatest impact on their children in most if not all aspects of the child's personality and outlook on life. Parents, as caregivers and guides, have a responsibility to push their children into the world and to encourage their children to work hard towards their goals. Some take this duty much less earnestly than they ought to, resulting in the types of parents that I often encounter in my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Worse, some have no interest in their children's activities at all. Children need to be nourished in every sense of the term. Without this, their capacity to become successful and productive citizens is handicapped. The sooner parents begin to recognize this crucial factor; the better off the children will be in many ways. No attention at home relates to acting out in class. Negative attention (in various forms of maltreatment) leads to lowered self–esteem, keeping the child from reaching their true potential. As a teacher, all these home issues would act as barriers to my and my students' academic goals within the classroom. Through hard work, effective communication and parent–teacher collaboration, I think in most cases, these difficulties can be overcome. Frequent contact with parents and encouragement for their involvement would be great ways to make them aware of what their children require as support in their academic pursuits. Parents and teachers ought to work together as partners, having the same goals in mind when it comes to the children. However, I recognize that some parents can be quite difficult. This issue, within high–need schools where children may come from unstable homes, would be amplified. Fortunately for these children, I am known for never giving up on anyone. Despite the sheer ignorance or viciousness of some of the parents I expect to encounter, I will always try to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
