1. Day 3- Wednesday
I.
Analyze learner
The group I am focusing on is students in a third class between the ages of 8 and 9. In this unit I
plan on focusing on the 50 states and their capitals. Some students may already know some of
the 50 states and their capitals, but some may not know any of the states and their capitals. I plan
to make sure every student enjoys the activities and lesson, but at the same time learning.
II.
State Objectives
Once students understand and have read the book. I will then show the class the WebQuest I
have created and give them to web address, so they can get on it help when studying the 50 states
and capitals. Once they have viewed and understand how to get to the WebQuest, I will have
them created a wordle (Web 2.0) of the 50 states and capitals on the computers in the computer
lab. By creating a wordle will help them learn the 50 states and capitals because they will have
to type all of them out in to the text box in wordle.

For day three students will be using the WebQuest I will be providing them with. They will also
be creating a wordle online.
IV.

Require Learners Participation
All students will be required to do is view and understand how to get to the WebQuest that I
made and provided them with. I expect them to create a wordle of all the 50 states and capitals
and print it out for a grade.

Evaluate & Revise
At the end of the lesson I will take notes on who had trouble and what the hardest thing for
students to do was. Also take notes on if they created and printed their wordle assignment. There
will be no formal assessment at the end of day three.
