• Successfully wrote grant proposals yielding over $50,000 to develop and refine Howell Ltd.’s
patent pending “color perfect” camera. The camera is currently in beta stage and is being
reviewed by several manufacturing corporations for use in overseas factories.
• Art direction of fashion and product photography shoots for clients including Metrostyle,
Destination XL, Orvis, Chadwicks and Appleseeds.
• Designed and evolved the corporate branding allowing Howell Ltd. to attract and retain
larger national clients.
• Negotiated contracts with vendors for services ranging from creative to business level.

Maine Education Services is a non-profit foundation dedicated to expanding access to higher education for all in Maine
through products and services including financial literacy, college awareness and career exploration.
Creative Director 1997 – 2000
• Over the course of three years saved the company approximately $600,000 annually in creative
costs and assisted in marketing their SuperLoan, which over my tenure became (and remains)
the state’s most popular student loan.
• Developed and strategized marketing campaigns for television, radio, direct mail and print
media to move the MES mission forward.
• Wrote copy and designed print and online marketing materials including catalogs, posters,
brochures and all forms of print media and direct mail as well as annual reports and financial
reporting documents. Created a design aesthetic that was both cohesive and recognizable as
Maine Education Services and its subsidiaries.
• Designed and implemented corporate logos and identity pieces, many still used today.
• Managed the entire creative process from brainstorming through design and production,
including coordinating and negotiating printing contracts and scheduling materials delivery.
