1. Hello everybody. First of all,Thank you all for making effort to be here
with me today.Let me introduce myself.My name’s Binh,A member of E7
class.Now I’m studying at Foreign Trade University and I’m a second -year
student.As you know,finding a suitable job is very important for every one
after graduate.Especialy, FTU’s student.To day I’ll tell you about “What jobs
are suitable for FTUer”.My talk will only take about 7 minutes of your time.I
break down my presentation to 3 part:First,I’ll talk about the communication
status of current graduates in Viet Nam .In the next section, I’ll show you what
jobs are suitable for FTUers and provide 2 job which is popular in Viet Nam.
And finally, I’ll offer some advice for today’s job seekers. Please feel free to
ask any questions at the end of my talk. Now let’s get the ball rolling.
As a very first start of my presentation, I would like to talk about the
communication status of current graduates in Viet Nam.As you know Students
in Viet Nam Are Weak in Soft Skills.
A Survey of 234 recruiters and 3,364 graduates from 20 universities, published
in the research "Solutions for Enhancing Higher Education Quality" by Ha Noi
University of Pedagogy, uncovered that both graduates and recruiters shared a
common view: 50% of graduates have to be retrained. The main reason is
professional skills do not meet the standards of recruiters.
A recent survey by the Ministry of Labors, Invalids and Social Affairs
(MOLISA) showed that about 13% graduates must be retrained or
supplemented more skills, 40% graduates must be closely supervised at work
and more than 41% graduates need more probation time before they can
actually perform their job.
Students from universities in Ha Noi, when surveyed, also expressed that they
only have 25% of required skills. 54% self-assessed that they can work in a
group setting, and 45% said they have communication skills. The proportion of
students who acquired other skills is very low, mostly under 30%. Only 8%
students said that they possess good interview skills.
So, what jobs are suitable for FTUers? Let’s continue next part to have
the answer. Well, I really like to repeat the question: “What jobs are suitable for
FTUers?”.
As you know.FTU is one of the most universty in Viet Nam. FTU has
gained enormous achievements in providing talented and high quality human

2. resources to the economy. FTU is now offering a wide range of major and
specialization in economic, business, business administration, finance and
banking and foreign languages .FTU has about 10000 student. Students from
FTU are recognized as being active and well- qualified. Most graduate from
FTU are likely to get the top priority of selection when they apply for jobs in
companies and organizations in Viet Nam. If you major in financial and
banking, you can work in the sale division or the credit department for the
banks such as: World Bank, Agribank,ViettinBank… or securities companies.
There are many jobs being suitable for FTUers.

In finally part, I’ll offer some advices for today’s job seekers. In order to have a
suitable and good job.
Firstly.Before you start job hunting, make sure that your resume is as complete
and up-to-date as possible. Your resume is an important distillation of who you
are, where you come from, and what you can offer
