Ethics Awareness Inventory
While answering the questions found in the Ethics Awareness Inventory I wondered to
myself how these questions could pin point my profile on this subject. Upon reading the
evaluation of my Ethics Awareness Inventory profile I found myself pleasantly surprised at how
perfectly precise the outcome of the profile was in summing my beliefs and actions pertaining to
my morals. I learned that I am head strong in my morals, values, and ethical beliefs. However, I
am willing to take a financial loss in fighting got my beliefs also. This in turn can create a
negative effect that could have a vital loss in the end. The most important lesson that I learned
from this exercise is to weigh out the cost of my stand against unethical acts and ensure that the
cost does not consume the fight itself.
In applying what I have learned from this evaluation in my workplace I will be able to
proceed with keeping my ethical values in place by using critical thinking when faced with
unethical situations. Social pressures can make it difficult in staying true to the ethical beliefs
that some of us fight so hard to uphold. I have always been old fashioned in my thinking and not
easily persuaded in changing my views. With all of the modern changes is beliefs and laws
sticking to my moral standards can be a battle. Hopefully utilizing critical thinkingwill allow me
the ability to become more flexible in my values, while staying true to the core meaning of them
as well.
