This document proposes a hybrid communication solution using satellite and cellular networks to provide education in rural areas lacking infrastructure. It describes current issues in rural schools like lack of teachers, teaching aids, and qualified instructors. The proposed solution uses a satellite link to broadcast interactive smart classes to rural schools, while allowing students to ask questions via SMS, calls or video using a cellular return link. This provides a centralized way for qualified teachers to educate multiple locations simultaneously while still allowing interactivity. The system also aims to benefit local communities by providing internet access after school.
3. Schools in Rural India – Current Scenario

Towns & Cities
• Does not solve the problem of the students
– If students have difficulty in understanding – Students
would still need some guidance.
7. Hybrid Internet Solution To Recue
• Internet Links need both Front & Return
Channels to be from same Device / IP for the
handshake, Data Transfer
• Hybrid Solution Resolves this.
– Manages “Handshake” between the Out-Bound and
In-Bound data from 2 different sources / routes
– Take care of the Delay in the transmission
– Completes the Data Link
