1. Idea Presentation
For my Pop magazine, I have decided to set the front cover and double page spread as a
sleepover theme. The images will represent them having a pillow fight, eating popcorn and
doing girly things like each other’s hair and makeup. These images have given me an idea of
what to expect in a slumber party. Overall, it shows the girls are having a fun, happy time. I
will be including props like feathers, nail varnish, pillows, popcorn etc. This is to make the
reader feel a sense of excitement and make them fully engaged. I will be using high key
studio lightingand a white screen with no location. I have decided to do this as I believe it is
more professional and will make the images stand out, making the images even more
dominant. For instance, below is examples of existing photo-shoots of female bands on
white screen backgrounds.
The members of ‘Lovestruck’ will have positive facial expressions like smiling and
laughing,to show their cheerfulness and joyfulness. The idea of the girl pop band having a
sleepover makes them even more likeable as it is showing they are a fun, bubbly group.
They will be wearing stylish pyjamas to show they are still able to wear fashionable clothes
and still look gorgeous. It is also giving young teenage girls an inspiration of what pyjamas to
wear, which will have a result of young teenage girls looking up to The Saturdays as role
models.
