I wish I could've done something differently, I wish I knew my daughter had these crazy thoughts in
her head. How could I have never noticed? How could I not notice the tension between my own two
children. It all started Friday afternoon during lunch, Jill, Jack, my husband Jessie and I were all
sitting at our old barn wood dinner table, In the middle of our formal dining room with light grey
walls and deep red accent wall. On that wall we have a bunch of picture of Jack and Jill growing up,
most of them are Jack but no one ever seems to notice. We don't have too many picture considering
Jack and Jill are only 13 and haven't gone to any school dances. They are both very similar looking
as babies, same weight, same green eyes, brown hair and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The police are at our house trying to figure out what caused the accident but there are no leads yet. I
might have to take this into my own hands. I walk outside to the hill, there are no obvious holes in
the side of the hill where they were coming down, I don't think this was an accident. As I walked up
the hill, I could smell the fresh cut grass and see the bright green color. As I got closer to the well I
could hear the leaves blowing on the wind as I got goosebumps on my arms from the breeze. I put
my hand on the old stone well my hands instantly got cold and I could hear the water trickling in the
well. I look to my left and I see Mary and her lambs in their pasture. She's staring at me, we make
eye contact and she quickly looks away. I started walking toward her thinking she could have

The Pig Man Short Story
PIG MAN There was a Pig Man, and he walked a Piggy Mile, He found a Piggy Sixpence against a
Piggy Stile; He bought a Piggy Cat which caught a Piggy Mouse, And they all lived together in a
little Pig House. "Where are we going?" Bobby asked. He had a twizzler in his pocket he was sure
would have grown stale by the time they reached wherever they were heading. "Shut up," Jones
commanded. He strode a little ahead of the group, but turned to glare at Bobby. "We're almost
there." "Where exactly are we going?" Al asked. He was the smallest of all the boys but the
smartest. He was Mr Finch's favourite student, and Jones was his least. Patty had been the one to
suggest going out wandering. Jones had remembered the abandoned field a couple of miles out from
his house. He said he kept a ball there for kick–around and that they could play with it until it got
dark. Bobby had been hesitant, wary of his mother's warning to be home before six. But Jones was
so excited and then he roped Patty into it as well, and Patty always seemed to know what he was
doing. His parents didn't impose curfews on him, and Bobby envied this of him. His mother, on the
other hand, was constantly worrying him, telling him come straight home from school, to not talk to
strangers, and to not go anywhere he hadn't been before with her. Bobby was more than a little sick
of it. He wanted to be a normal kid, like Patty or Jones. They could go anywhere they liked, anytime
they liked. Their mothers didn't force

“Peter! Peter! What Are You Doing? Peter, What’S Wrong?”
"Peter! Peter! What are you doing? Peter, what's wrong?" This is what I remember hearing when I
came to the next day, the words spoken in my mother's voice and coming in between sobs while
Daisy was barking ferociously. When my vision came back, I saw my terrified mother curled up and
hugging the leg of our kitchen table, tears streaming down her imbued eyes. Daisy was closest to
me, stationed between me and my mother, her teeth bared and snapping at me like a shark. "Whoa,
hey girl," I tried calling out in my confusion, but all I managed to emit was garbled gibberish. As I
took in my surroundings, and as my senses slowly came back to me, I was able to handle myself a
little better. "Calm down, girl, it's me girl," I said, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"What?" "Is June here?" I repeated more urgently. "No, she went to play a round of golf with your
father. They'll be back later." "So, her car is here then?" "Yes, but..." "Mom, you and dad have her
spare keys, give them to me." "But, Peter, you can't go out, you know the rules. Where are you
going?" "Keys, mom," I demanded again. Reluctantly, my mother handed me June's car keys, and I
headed out leaving my mother a nervous wreck in our kitchen. I didn't want to leave her all shaken
up like that, but I had more pressing matters to attend to. This was now two close scares of me
becoming whacked out and almost infecting one of my family members. This could not happen
again. I wasn't sure where I was headed as I set out on the road, but I knew what information I was
looking for. What the hell is sushi and what the hell is it doing to me after I take it? Two things, I
was determined to find out. I also wanted to know if others were having the same reaction to it as I
was. I figured the best place to start looking for answers would be from Jimmy Meatball himself,
but I knew he wouldn't shed any light on the subject, at least not willingly. I thought about the
Alliance, Lyle, Kim, and Irma, but I had no way of getting a hold of them without Anna, and I had
no clue as to where to find them in between gatherings. Where Anna goes is anyone's guess, and I
imagined she would be on her way out of the area soon, maybe even

After ringing the doorbell several times, Karen pounded on the door, and screamed, "Wake up, Dan.
Wake up, Dan! I need your help." Ready to go to another neighbor's house, she heard him say,
"Hold on I'm coming!" Opening the front door, Karen saw her neighbor standing in the doorway
wearing only his boxer shorts and a tee shirt. He asked, "What's wrong? Karen, what's your
problem." Weeping, she said, "Something is wrong with Katherine. Come quick." "Just a minute,"
he said, rushing into the house and returned fastening his pants. "Where is she?" Motioning for him
to follow her, Karen ran across the lawn. Stopping by the fence, she pointed toward the side of the
house, and said, "She's over there." Rushing over to check on Katherine, Dan called out, "Have you
called 911?" "No, but I will," Karen said, hurrying into her house and returned shortly, "I called
them. They're on their way." "We should wait out front," Dan said, motioning for her to follow him.
Stuttering, Karen asked, "Is she, I mean is Katherine still alive?" "There's blood everywhere. I'm
sure she isn't." Dan stayed with Karen and listened as she described what happened as they waited
for help to arrive. "Bouncer woke me up about 6:00 o'clock. We came out the front door and saw a

Persuasive Short Story
"Are we there yet, Mom?" Annabelle asked impatiently in the car.
"Annabelle, sweetie, you know that to go to Vermont it takes almost 12 hours. We just left home a
hour ago, and you are already complaining. Besides, we haven't passed that pit stop that we always
stop at. You know, the one with the big playground." her mom said.
"I know," she said over exaggerating, "but I can't wait to see Lauren and Kyle. The last time I saw
them was when we went on vacation together in Hawaii."
"Didn't you video chat last night with them? I remember hearing you squeal because you were
excited." her dad said.
"Well, yes, but I meant in person, Dad." she replied.
"Well in 11 hours, you'll see them in the cabin. Now get some sleep tonight before we reach our pit
stop so you will have some energy tomorrow." said her mom.
"Ok," Annabelle said as she laid down on the backseat of the car. She watched the nighttime sky
filled with stars pass her, as she drifted off to a peaceful sleep. Her dream that night was a weird
one. She was in an enchanted forest, but she was lost. The trees glowing, and the sky as bright as the
moon. She saw all the animals that lived in the forest come to her, asking for food even though she
didn't have any. She put her hand out and all the animals ate something that she didn't recognize. It
was weird, but somewhat amazing. Before she knew it, it was already morning, and they had
already reached their pit stop.
"Come on Annabelle, we better get some food. You must

Chapter 13 : A Short Story
Chapter Thirteen I turned in my theme on Mr. Syme's desk. It had turned out to be 70 pages. Once I
started writing, I couldn't stop. My theme ended up taking me the whole rest of the semester to
finish. Mr. Syme glanced at me, "You finished your theme?" He looked down at the pages. "Woo–
wee! That's a lot of words you got there, Ponyboy. I would say I'd have it graded by next week, but
it might take me a while to read this. I'll try to get it back to you in a couple weeks. If it's good, it
could bring your semester grade up to a B." "Thanks, sir!" I rushed home to tell Darry the good
news. He'd never believe it. I pushed open the door. The room was pretty dark. "Darry, you there?"
The door swung closed with a bang. "Soda, Darry?" I said ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I squatted beside the sink. It was Two–Bit's black–handled switchblade. After Dally had gotten shot,
the police found the switchblade on him and turned it in to the station. Darry had convinced the
police chief to let him have it back. It was going to be a surprise for Two–Bit on his birthday. He
turned 19 in a couple weeks. Darry was saving it for him. I examined the blade closer. It had a red
stain on it. I turned to Soda, scared. "Where is Darry? Have you seen him?" "Not since this morning.
Why?" "It wasn't a piece of glass that you saw; you saw this." I held the blade out to Soda. "Maybe
Darry dropped it or something. I bet he's fine," Soda reasoned. It seemed like he was trying to
convince itself everything was fine. I turned the blade so that the stain was showing. Soda started to
gasp but stopped himself. "We better find the rest of the gang and make sure they're okay." Soda and
I ran to Steve Randle's house. Soda knocked on the front door. I heard loud footsteps running to
open it. "Hey, Soda. Ponyboy. Whatcha doing here?" "Darry's gone," I burst out. "You know how he
was saving the switchblade to give to Two–Bit? Well, we found it. And look at this." I gave him
Two–Bit's switchblade. Steve inspected it. "I don't see nothing." He wasn't the sharpest knife in the
drawer. Soda flipped the blade over. "Oh," Steve said. "You're worried that it might be blood that's
on it." "I'm mostly worried that it might be Darry's blood," I admitted. Soda looked at me

Gianna's Death: A Narrative Fiction
Let me tell you guys a story. A story about the day that I literally thought I was going to die. The day
where everything just went all wrong. That day, I had arrived at school. "Hey Emily over here!" I
look to see who called my name, it's my friend, Gianna. Gianna and I have been friends since
kindergarten. "Did you hear about the weather, there is a possibility that we might have a tornado
today." she had told me. "No I didn't hear, are you for real?" I asked. "I think we are, that is what I
heard on the news." she told me. The bell rings and we both had gone to Advisory. "Hello kids,
today there is a possibility that we might have bad weather today." said our English teacher, Mrs.
Mary. "What I tell you." Gianna whispered, but in a grating voice. "What kind ... Show more

Gianna follows. I ran after Gianna, she was at the end of the cemetery. She stands there in fear.
"Gianna? Are you okay?" I asked. No answer. Everything was silent. She stood there, then she fell
on her knees. "Gianna? What's going on?" Still silent. Then I look at what she was looking at.
Everywhere she saw there was corpses. "Oh no. Gianna we have to go." I said. Then I look behind
me, there was the white figure. Gianna gets up, she looks, she screams in terror and ran. I followed
her through the forest. "Cmon Emily! We have to get out of here!" screamed Gianna. "What is going
on Gianna!" "I'll tell you when we get out of here! Now hurry before that thing comes!" she yelled. I
ran as fast as I can, then I tripped over a tombstone, my leg was all scratched up. "Ouch! My leg!" I
yelled. Gianna runs towards me, she's shaking, she puts my arm around her. She tries to run as fast
as she can. Emily stumbles to the ground. There it was that white figure. Gianna opens the purple

My Experience At The Art Classroom
The cliché and overused posters at the back caught my attention as soon as I entered the art
classroom, making me look at the art teacher in disappointment. My young art teacher walked to her
seat at the front right corner wearing glasses that made her look sixty. The tables in the art room
stood in a u–shape, which supposedly made us students more "social and creative". The white board
in the front of the room filled with scribbles of drawings used for other classes. I could smell the
vanilla scented candle in the air that the teacher kept at all times on her desk. I walked to my
assigned seat at the front right corner where I saw my friend, Michayla, flash me a smile. All the
other seats and desks empty. I came early.
As soon as I sat at my desk, my friend started gushing about how amazing her weekend was.
Everything she said I, admittedly, ignored. I thought about the quote I read in my favorite book
before I came to class. "Whatever you are physically...strong or weak, ill or healthy–all those things
matter less than what your heart contains. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the
lamp, but you are the light inside." I shook my head, diverting my attention to the long pointy
needles and black papers that our art teacher put on the center of the table, and took one of the
pointy needles. I touched the sharp part of it as I leaned back onto my chair, still ignoring my friend.
Ouch! I accidentally pinched my index finger with the needle. I sucked on my

A Report On Fice
SCENE 1 Niles sat in his office, high atop Charm City 's protruding skyline. He was the CEO of
Sentec, a biochemistry company dealing with olfactory products; as scents and pheromones. His
whole life, as it related to his work and the company, was stored on the hard drive of the electrically
driven machine sitting in front of him. His laptop held many of the company 's dirty little secrets,
along with the most valuable product information available. Emails, correspondence with other
executives, employee histories, background checks, end of month and year datum, everything on the
shared–directory files which adorned the drives "A" through "ZZ." Currently, it showed his email,
buddy list and a word document he was typing. Niles wasn 't doing company work. In the
background, symphonic music set the tone. The office was rather regular, just the way he liked it.
Behind him, a wall of awards and certificates; Niles had been the face of Sentec ever since its
inception in 1997 and ever since its total coup de etas of the fragrance industry from mid–1998 on.
The awards, however, were careful not to cover up the bronzed motto hanging eternally over his
head: "Making SCENTS of your life!" Click click click, the keys beneath Niles 's fingers were
pressed one by one. Niles stared intently at his screen. Anyone passing by the office at that precise
moment would have the same thought: Wow, he must be working on something huge! In reality,
Niles was writing to Jack Prowl, regional

Chorda's Memories Of To Kill A Girl: A Short Story
"Delaney, it's time." Chorda smiled, bright and bitter. Long claws extending from his fingertips.
Memories of Chorda tearing the queen's throat out flooded back. After that, he ripped her heart out
of her frail chest. Every thought more vivid than the last. I looked into his burning eyes filled with
hunger. I was going to be put to death, the same way the queen was. "Chorda, you don't have to do
this. If you take my heart it won't cure you, you'll still be a monster." I tried to say that in a calm
voice, but my trembling hands gave me away. "I have to do this. It's the only way I can be human
again. Besides, you should be happy, for your humane heart is going to be the thing that cures me."
His mouth parted in a smile. Revealing his blood stained teeth, stepping forward, he let out a small,
but vicious growl. Terror shot through my veins, while my knees threaten to buckle under pressure.

Trappe woke with a start before sunrise, focusing his eyes on the shapes of the distant hills as they
emerged from the darkness. He felt a chill from the open rear window of the station wagon and
turned to Curtis, still asleep beside him. "Curtis, wake up," he whispered, followed by a "shushing"
sound as he put his index finger to his lips. Curtis' eyes fluttered open. "It's time. Follow me,"
Trappe said in a low voice as he finished lacing up his boots and grabbed his jean jacket. He figured
the jacket would be a burden to carry in the heat of the day but was a necessity now. He climbed
over the tailgate motioning Curtis to follow. They crept past their father and T. W. who were
bundled in their sleeping bags next to the remaining embers from last night's fire. They picked their
backpacks with snacks, water, a flashlight, and rope, then stepped lightly away. "Where are we
going? I'm hungry." Curtis said, a little too loudly as he stepped behind Trappe. "Quiet, dummy,
we're gonna find some gold." "We'll eat something just over that ridge." Curtis stopped and looked
back at the two lumps by the smoldering ashes. "I don't think we should go without Mr. T. W. or dad
knowing where we are." Trapped turned on Curtis, his eyes boring into him. "Quiet," he hissed. "T.
W. doesn't own this land and besides I think the gold is in those caves over the hill" Trappe

Essay On The Story Of A Story
Early the next morning, Jerrit awoke the party and had everyone eat a hasty breakfast. After a telling
look at Sarah, he explained to them why he was bandaged and had Petrin help him to tighten the
bindings. While doing so, Petrin noticed that Jerrit's breathing was rapid and shallow. As they
finished their meager meal Dirac came into the camp followed by a single horse.
"The raiding party is about six hours ahead of us at your human walking speed. If you had more
horses, we could quickly overtake them, but your other horses who escaped the attack are gone. I
followed their trail for an hour back toward your farm and this is the only horse I found."
"I am so sorry we bolted sir," apologized the horse. It was the chestnut mare named Claire. ... Show

They can return with the King's soldiers and they will be able to easily follow our trail. If we catch
the raiders, we will only follow them waiting until help arrives." Petrin did not like this plan, but he
could not dissuade the determined trio and Jerrit clearly needed help quickly. He worked with Sarah
and Philip to sort through the packs and they rapidly made up small bundles for Sarah and Phillip to
carry.
While doing so, he gave them some advice. "Jerrit mentioned that this was a Shadoch raiding party.
They are a brutal and very dangerous people. We rarely see them in Emradon and it is odd that the
path Dirac found leads to the southeast. The Shadoch do hire out as mercenaries, and they appear to
have been sent to attack us so it may have been a plot hatched by Stenland. We have not been on
friendly terms with them of late. It is all quite strange. But, you must be very careful if you get near
them."
Each of the children armed themselves with hunting daggers from the pile of supplies. Philip also
picked up a bow, similar to the one he had been using for practicing, and a quiver of arrows. When
they were ready, Sarah asked Clair to kneel and they were able to get Jerrit up on her and secure him
with a length of rope. Petrin then slowly led Clair with her inert load, up the hill. The last the
children saw of them, they were disappearing over the crest of the hill at the road.

I had woke up to the tranquility of a Sunday night there was a slight breeze, It was May 29th, 2016

The pointed bolt, it's false feathers guiding it's course, parted the darkening fog as it tore through the

The head of the arrow pierced Gloria's thigh with a sickening sound not unlike that of a rabbit
pounding it's foot against marshy soil. Her face contorted in agony, her hand unclasped around the
arrows, and she fell sideways, her knees buckling, against the tree. Tears rushed to her eyes and she

Henry The Alligator Snapping Turtle Short Story
Twisted Reality
Henry the Alligator Snapping Turtle was not fast, but he was really stubborn. So when the cocky
hare, Celer, had dared him to try to race him, after hurting a friend no less, Henry knew he had to
end this Celer's rule, in any way necessary. Henry accepted the challenge much Celer's amusement.
The race was set to be exactly one week from that moment. When Henry left the courtyard he had
been in, his friends quickly (for turtles anyway) ran toward him. Joey, a large, African Spurred
Tortoise, was the first to catch up.
"You're crazy, you'll never win" Joey said

or my friends again. Henry won the race.
Henry did what he felt like was a run over to his friends, but they ran. He shouted,
"Wait up guys, come on.... Please" his voice slowly drifted off as he realized they knew they had left
him behind. They were afraid of Henry. They'll be back, they won't stay scared.... Will they? On his

"Hey, Shelly what's up" Henry asked, hopeful
"Nothing" Shelly said decisively, and she increased her pace. Henry had to run to keep up with
Shelly.
"Please, Shelly, why do you resent me all the sudden?" Henry said, though he suspected the answer.
"Because you bit someone's leg in 2! That's not okay!" Shelly was practically shouting by the end of
this statement. Henry wasn't sure how to respond to that, it was true. His plan had gone so well that

Analysis Of ' Jack ' And ' Hey Babe '
Jack comes out of nowhere and greets me with a, "Hey babe." I jolted half a mile and slammed my
locker shut. "Jesus christ Jack! You frightened me!" He stared at me in bewilderment. "Lisa, are you
okay? Why are you so jumpy?" "Sorry, i didn 't get any–" "Lisa! Jack!" We both turned around to
see Susan, chelsia, and their boyfriends Derek and Aiden calling our names. "Hey girls whats up?" I
asked them. Chelsia went first. "So we all know that Halloween is Friday right?" I nodded my head.
" Well we want to throw a party at your house," pronounced Susan. "No," i replied. Derek, Aiden,

Where is she? Why is she not in class? Before i got a chance to speak Jack raised his hand and asked

anyone seen Tabitha?" I asked. Everyone in the classroom looked at me in bewilderment. "who?"
said Aiden, Derek, Chelsia, and Susan simantanously. The teacher didn 't even know who she was. I
rolled my eyes at all of them. "Tabitha!! The fat chick that sits in the front row!" i exclaimed.
"AAAARRRRGHHHH!!! Someome help me!!" I glanced over at Chelsia and Susan. We were all

How Is Snowball Into A Mountain Of Trouble?
It's funny how the smallest of comments can snowball into a mountain of trouble. I guess it's the
silence that really hurts the situation, beating it into a pulp of what it used to be. I have very few
friends, and that can sometimes come in handy or hurt me in unimaginable ways. Now I know that
I've said some things I shouldn't have said before, but it's usually stayed the small incident it is.
There has only been one time in my life where I have been in some deep trouble due to saying
something I shouldn't have said. It all started in science class. I was intent on finishing my work,
like most other kids rushing to beat the bell. My friend, Robert, was sitting next to me. Being a
genius, he had already finished all of his work. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The class stopped their intense working and stared at me. I felt my cheeks start to burn as they all
looked at me. The teacher didn't notice my scream but did notice the absence of pencils scratching
against paper. He told everyone to get back to work, so they did. I looked to my right to apologize to
Robert, but he started getting up to leave because of the bell. I felt truly terrible. I hadn't meant what
I said and shouldn't have said it, but I still thought the whole thing would blow over in a matter of a
few minutes. I couldn't have been more incorrect. The next class was a bore, as usual. I wasn't really
thinking about Robert and what I had said until I felt a poke from behind. I heard a small hissing
noise. "Psst," the mysterious entity said. I turned around to see that it was one of my worst enemies,
Dylan. "Hello, Dylan," I hissed to him not unlike Jerry Seinfeld encountering Newman. "Hello,
Fonseca," he responded in the same manner. "I heard that you were bad–mouthing Robert, like the
coward you are. I'm pretty sure I saw him taking an alternate path to class, to avoid you." Oh man, I
thought. This isn't going to end well. "Just stay away from me, Dylan," I told him. He sat back in his
chair, having accomplished his mission. "Your grave," he said. That period was the hardest I've ever
had to stand. As soon as the bell rang, I got up and sprinted to my third class. Neither Robert nor

Flashback : ' At Last '
Flashback:–
'At last,' I thought, glad that school was over for the day. I ran from the playground, faster than a
cheetah, crossed the playing field, fled down the brick stairs and leapt into the road. Suddenly, what
would usually be a great sight was driving right into me. BAM! Everything went black.
The ice cream van had hit the school bully who just happened to be the best U12 British cross–
country runner.

Now that I 've got your attention, here's where the story starts... Once, there was a child called
Norbert, but, for some reason, he just never fitted in. Was it his big blue eyes? His small crooked
nose? Was his big friendly smile just a little too friendly?

"Oi! Monster–face! How'd they let someone as ugly as you into school?" snarled Jimmy Scott,
playing to his audience. The gang of children laughed and pointed at the unwelcome monster.
At once, Norbert – the big monster – felt small, very small. He wished silently that he was invisible
as he cowered away, trying to hide his face as his eyes welled up and then, giant tears slowly
trickled down his gnarled cheeks.
Without a pause for thought, he concluded that he had one option – RUN! The floor shook as he
thudded away, each step like a bomb crashing in a war zone.

Edward found him some time later when he was checking on his bike. Norbert was curled up in the

In fact there will never was, nor will there ever be, a time that would surpass the horror humanity
faced during the outbreak. We were put through a trial. Some passed and some failed. The worst
traits of humanity were exposed during the outbreak. But at the same time, the best traits shone so
brightly that the darkness of humanity dissipated. It was the survivors that fought to get our lives
back who had these traits. Many credit me with bringing together so many people, with different
ideals, to fight back or bringing out the best in people because I inspired them. That was not true. It
was thanks to true humanity. The humanity I always knew existed. It's just that it was always
suppressed by the darkness of humanity. If you said to me a year before the outbreak that this would
happen, I would send you to a mental asylum. I guess the joke is on me, so to speak. I wasn't, what
some would say, a confident person. I would just follow others and just do my job. The outbreak
changed all that. It changed everyone, especially me. Some people got stronger due to the outbreak.
Some became weaker. Being leader of the survivors? This idea would be absurd to me before the
outbreak. I never wanted to be a leader. I just wanted to get by life like any other person. I didn't
believe that I would make a good leader. But I was wrong. What was that quote by Umbert...?

could finally have fun without them bothering me. Everyone else was inside sleeping, so me and
Xavier went around the camp to the area that were usually packed with people, that was the biggest
benefit of getting up early, you got to do anything you wanted, except for the canoes which were not

called the story building, where we eagerly took out our devices we had been so patiently waiting to
play, we cautiously looked out and saw no one. With the rule of no phones allowed, the mornings
were the perfect time to play, with the supervisor not up yet. As for the camp itself, it was large and
had many places to go and it was right next to a lake. There were multiple buildings such as the
kitchen, the story room, the cabins and the gift shop. After about an hour we headed back right
before people started to get up, no one knowing we had left the cabin. So while everyone got ready
for the day we hid our cellphones and tablets under our clothes at the bottom of our bags, where no

main controversy making people believe the system needs to be changed, and that is the

According to the Daily Aztec news source, which has been an independent news source for San

Eight Hearts, All In a Row
The bus drops Randy off next to an ice cream stand he used to buy neapolitan cones from in the
summer. He 's surprised it still exists, the stand now covered in a tarp, looking to survive the New
York winter. 1818 Cheshire Street stands less than a block away, and he walks slowly, clutching his
brown paper bag, trying to avoid slipping on the ice. When he was younger, a winter night meant
sledding with the other kids in the neighborhood while lights illuminated up the inside of brightly–
painted houses. He, a stranger now, tiptoes through dead silence and boarded up windows, trying to
see from the glow of flickering streetlamps. No colorful bulbs twinkled from roofs, no wreaths
guarded welcoming doors, and no hot chocolate wafted through window cracks. Now, the memory
of gingerbread men leaves an acidic taste in his mouth. His childhood home is one of the few in the
neighborhood that hadn 't been abandoned after the incident. When families fled, fluidly like a
stream of grief and fear, his father had stood his ground at the house he bought for his family years
ago. Almost nobody wanted to move into abandoned perfectly painted houses, polished with vibrant
hydrangea bushes and stained with ink–black tragedy. The property value had plunged like a bird
shot from the sky, and the area was now a ghost town. As Randy makes his way down the sidewalk,

Descriptive Essay On A Haunted House
I've been here in California since 1905, I've been here for 2 years now and never thought in my
whole life I would be spending the whole night in a haunted house that was just two streets away
from my home. It all started when me and my friends were hanging out at Lucas's house. We got
bored and decided to play dares. We did a couple of funny dares, but then things got serious.
"Thomas, I dare you to spend the night at the old haunted house that is two streets away from us."
Matt said smirking like an evil villain. "No way" I said, not wanting to go to that creepy old house.
"You have to, it's a dare" Mark demanded and I sighed. "For how long?" I asked and they all looked
at each other then smiled. "A whole night" I thought for a bit and had an Idea. "one condition" They
leaned forward. "Someone has to come with me" they all looked at each other. "No way I'm going, I
have one little sibling." Lucas said. "I have a single mom and I'm her only child." Mark said. I
looked at Matt. "get your stuff ready Matt, We're spending the night at a haunted house" I said
smiling. Matt has two parents and has 5 brothers and sisters not to mention he's the middle child. So
he had no reason to stay. "No way I'm doing that, this is my dare I gave to you!" He defended
himself "doesn't matter, you're going." I demanded and grabbed two bags for me and Matt. "karma
sucks doesn't it?" I smirked at him and he gave me a glare. My plan went well.
Mark and Lucas dropped us off and I and Matt just stood there staring at the house. "I hate you very
much right now" Matt said and I smiled "oh well, let's go" We jumped over the gate and grabbed the
flashlight. As I flashed the light I saw a black figure through the window curtains. "Did you see
that?" I asked Matt and he looked at me. "See what?" I was probably just seeing things. "Uh,
nothing. It's probably just my mind playing games." I said and we walked to the front door. I moved
the vines that were blocking the door and opened the door slowly. "It smells like a dead animal in
here" Matt said and we walked inside. "What if it's not dead animal?" I asked, looking at Matt just
to tease him a bit. He looked at me with his big eyes and I laughed. "Shut up!" He whispers yelled.

here, your the last one of your kin that can free this poor soul. Oh so pretty,oh so beautiful, you can
free me,I know you can." The eyes at the end of the hallway squinted at me,the voice laughed, and
these white circles at the end of the dark hallway were no longer in my sight. And it ended in that
one house. Again I explained in a rush to my friend as we were driving,to this house I kept seeing in
my dreams,it's been haunting me ever since I turned fifteen. But I don't know why. "Nice scary story
Danny, but I still don't believe you." I rolled my eyes and looked out the window smacking my lips
in the process "How many variations do you need Maria." She snickered, she knew I was a little
frustrated about this situation, she always would refer to the person in my dreams as 'The Trapped
Ghost' sometimes I'd laugh at it,sometimes I'd get mad at it but know I really need answers. "This
isn't a game Maria, this is real life." "Yeah I bet,I'll believe it when I see it" She slurred in her very
thick english accent as we parked by the house. Just like in the dream,an old dusty house with mold
everywhere,broken windows,chipped paint,it was horrible,but at least it has a satellite. I also noticed
a small square building next to it with bars covering the windows and some type of metal railing on
top of it to. "Is looking at the house going to solve your Freddy Krueger

The Host Club: A Narrative Fiction
"Welcome to the Host Club." A chorus of voices said in unison as the door opened. It revealed a
group of seven boys, all gathered together in a formation. They were all dressed in the standard
uniform, but there was still something unnerving about them. Maybe it's the fact that they're all
beautiful? Probably not. Hyuga took a step forward. Adia was shocked still, along with everyone
else. Hyuga was seemingly able to not fall under their silently cast spell. "We're here from Seirin.
The superintendent told us to find an empty music room to put all our things in. Could you please
tell us somewhere that's a little less inhibited?" He was greeted with a short span of silence. The
seven opposite them quickly got out of their pose, obviously realising they weren't here for
whatever it was the 'Host Club' did. Kyouya pushed Haruhi forward. Haruhi sent a him. Kyouya
wasn't affected, but the other five had a look of absolute terror on their face. But she put on a smile
when she faced the Seirin team. "Of course. If you could follow me, please?" The personas voice
was sort of high. It occurred to all of Seirin that this person wasn't actually a boy. It didn't truly
bother them–to each their own, right?– but Hyuga was in a sort of clutch time mode. He always was
for the first few minutes somewhere new. Obviously, the rest of the team could sense it as well.
Being the most diplomatic of the group, Kuroko stepped forward. He shook the others outstretched
hand and said, in a louder

Arriving home from a business trip in Charlotte, Jerry went to play golf with his friend, as Marlene
showered and dressed to go shopping. "I shouldn't wear these," she said, removing her favorite
earrings, putting them in the jewelry box. She selected another pair and picked up her diamond
necklace. After putting on fresh lipstick, she checked to make sure she looked perfect before leaving
the house. +++ After ringing the doorbell several times, pounding on the door, Karen screamed,
"Wake up, Dan. Wake up, Dan! I need your help." Ready to go to another neighbor's house, she
heard him say, "Hold on I'm coming!" After opening the front door, Karen saw her neighbor
standing in the doorway wearing only his boxer shorts and a tee shirt. He asked, "What's wrong?
Karen, what's your problem?" Weeping, she said, "Something is wrong with Katherine. I think she is
dead, come quick." "Just a minute," he said, rushing into the house and returned putting on his
pants. "Where is she?" Motioning for him to follow her, Karen ran across the lawn and stopped by
the fence, pointing toward the side of the house, she said, "She's over there." Rushing to the back of
the house to check Katherine, Dan asked, "Have you called 911?" "No, but I will," Karen said,
hurrying into her house and returned shortly, "I called them. They're on the way." "We should wait
out front," Dan said, going up the driveway. Stuttering, Karen asked, "Is she, I mean is Katherine
still alive?" "I don't think

Conflicts: Relationship Between Settlers And Native Americans
Ever since Christopher Columbus discovered the Western hemisphere, more and more explorations
were set out to discover more about this new land. Eventually, settlements were created and people
took this as an opportunity to create a new life; however, there had already been people living in
these lands, known as Native Americans. The relationship between the settlers and these people was
not always peaceful. Conflicts were created over territories and power that sometimes lead out to
blood shed wars, but it did not always have to lead to that. In the mid 1600s, an explorer, Adam, and
a Native American, Chayton, will soon learn that.

Because it was getting late the tribe leader, insisted that Adam stay for the night and leave for the
morning; Adam agreed. As Adam tried to go to sleep that night, the smell of smoke hit his nose. He
peaked outside of his tent and saw one of the tents on fire; it was the enemy tribe. The others began
to notice and the men grabbed their weapons to fight, while the woman and children tried to put out
the fire and go to a safe place. Adam helped in putting out the fire and while doing so, he noticed
Chayton surrounded in the fire while he was helping the children escape. Adam grabs one of the
buckets of water and manages to hold off the fire for him and the children to escape.
Chayton's tribe scares off the enemies, winning this battle. In the morning, many of the tribe
members gather around to see Adam leave because they have recognized his heroics from the night
before. Chayton thanks Adam for helping and apologizes for the way he treated him; Adam accepts
and leave in good terms. As Adam leaves, Chayton thinks about his discussion with the tribe leader
from when they found about when the Marie was about to

Zach: A Fictional Narrative
"Good night," said Zach. "Good night," said Britney Later that night Britney had an very odd
dream.... Britney was walking down the street, when a swarm of crows came by her and swooped
under her. The birds would attack Britney, though when they struck her the crows would fall to the
ground and perish. She tried to fly away from these birds, though she couldn't. This went on for a
while until Britney managed to wake herself up. When Britney awakened, she was out of breath and
sweating. "Why are you sweating?" asked Zach. "I don't know," answered Britney, "I must have
been running in my sleep." "That's odd," replied Zach, "maybe it had something to do with what you
were dreaming about." "Maybe you're right," said Britney, "I did have a really weird dream last
night." ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They made their way up the volcano and walked to Town Hall. There was a giant banner hanging
across the top of the building that read "Thank You" in all capital letters. There was a red carpet and
bouquets of flowers. The whole town was sitting in chairs on the sides of the red carpet, ready to
watch the ceremony. Zach and Britney walked up the carpet and the steps of Town Hall. The mayor
gave a speech showing his appreciation for the two. "Now to show our appreciation for saving the
town, we give you, two golden medals and this day will now be a town holiday from now on,"
announced the mayor. Zach and Britney were given their medals and flowers. They took pictures
with some of the townsfolk. There was a parade held for them the next day in which they stood on
the final float with their medals. That day was the last anyone had seen of Michael Ray. Though it
was not the last they saw of Britney and Zach who came to the town every year on their holiday to
be in the parade. Zach and Britney went back to their daily lives of going to school and living alone.
"We did a good thing Zach," said Britney. "It was good because we did it together," said

"Hello, Sweetheart," she said, as she poured another cup of coffee as he sat down at the counter
beside her. "Sweetheart, my ass, I called you to have lunch with us and as usual your phone was off
or the batteries needed charging. Why carry a phone if you don't answer the damn thing?" "Sorry, I
didn't charge it last night, and left it on Mom's counter when we came back from lunch." Shrugging
her shoulders, Marlene asked, "Where's your father?" Sipping his coffee, Jerry said, "He'll be in
shortly, he's checking the radio in Mark's car." What upset him? Marlene wondered and worried if
he had overheard her talking to her mother. However, Marlene didn't dare to ask him about it,
instead, he kissed her on the cheek and asked, "Are you alright?" +++ Waking up on a Saturday
morning with the shining through the bedroom window, noticing his wife, Margaret still sleeping,
picking up his robe, Andrew crept toward the bedroom door. Sitting up in bed, Margaret asked,
"And just where are you going?" "Where am I going?" He repeated it, as he turned around and said,
"I want to make breakfast for the love of my life since I don't get to do it often." "You're the greatest
husband ever, but I want to sleep a bit longer," she said, yawning, and stretching, as she pulled the
sheet over her head. "Enjoy it, I'll return," he said, going out the door and down the hallway.
"Thanks." After fixing the coffee and toast, proudly Andrew

Jackie Monologue

  • 1. Jackie Monologue I wish I could've done something differently, I wish I knew my daughter had these crazy thoughts in her head. How could I have never noticed? How could I not notice the tension between my own two children. It all started Friday afternoon during lunch, Jill, Jack, my husband Jessie and I were all sitting at our old barn wood dinner table, In the middle of our formal dining room with light grey walls and deep red accent wall. On that wall we have a bunch of picture of Jack and Jill growing up, most of them are Jack but no one ever seems to notice. We don't have too many picture considering Jack and Jill are only 13 and haven't gone to any school dances. They are both very similar looking as babies, same weight, same green eyes, brown hair and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The police are at our house trying to figure out what caused the accident but there are no leads yet. I might have to take this into my own hands. I walk outside to the hill, there are no obvious holes in the side of the hill where they were coming down, I don't think this was an accident. As I walked up the hill, I could smell the fresh cut grass and see the bright green color. As I got closer to the well I could hear the leaves blowing on the wind as I got goosebumps on my arms from the breeze. I put my hand on the old stone well my hands instantly got cold and I could hear the water trickling in the well. I look to my left and I see Mary and her lambs in their pasture. She's staring at me, we make eye contact and she quickly looks away. I started walking toward her thinking she could have known ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. The Pig Man Short Story PIG MAN There was a Pig Man, and he walked a Piggy Mile, He found a Piggy Sixpence against a Piggy Stile; He bought a Piggy Cat which caught a Piggy Mouse, And they all lived together in a little Pig House. "Where are we going?" Bobby asked. He had a twizzler in his pocket he was sure would have grown stale by the time they reached wherever they were heading. "Shut up," Jones commanded. He strode a little ahead of the group, but turned to glare at Bobby. "We're almost there." "Where exactly are we going?" Al asked. He was the smallest of all the boys but the smartest. He was Mr Finch's favourite student, and Jones was his least. Patty had been the one to suggest going out wandering. Jones had remembered the abandoned field a couple of miles out from his house. He said he kept a ball there for kick–around and that they could play with it until it got dark. Bobby had been hesitant, wary of his mother's warning to be home before six. But Jones was so excited and then he roped Patty into it as well, and Patty always seemed to know what he was doing. His parents didn't impose curfews on him, and Bobby envied this of him. His mother, on the other hand, was constantly worrying him, telling him come straight home from school, to not talk to strangers, and to not go anywhere he hadn't been before with her. Bobby was more than a little sick of it. He wanted to be a normal kid, like Patty or Jones. They could go anywhere they liked, anytime they liked. Their mothers didn't force ... This is what I remember hearing when I came to the next day, the words spoken in my mother's voice and coming in between sobs while Daisy was barking ferociously. When my vision came back, I saw my terrified mother curled up and hugging the leg of our kitchen table, tears streaming down her imbued eyes. Daisy was closest to me, stationed between me and my mother, her teeth bared and snapping at me like a shark. "Whoa, hey girl," I tried calling out in my confusion, but all I managed to emit was garbled gibberish. As I took in my surroundings, and as my senses slowly came back to me, I was able to handle myself a little better. "Calm down, girl, it's me girl," I said, ... Reluctantly, my mother handed me June's car keys, and I headed out leaving my mother a nervous wreck in our kitchen. I didn't want to leave her all shaken up like that, but I had more pressing matters to attend to. This was now two close scares of me becoming whacked out and almost infecting one of my family members. This could not happen again. I wasn't sure where I was headed as I set out on the road, but I knew what information I was looking for. What the hell is sushi and what the hell is it doing to me after I take it? Two things, I was determined to find out. I also wanted to know if others were having the same reaction to it as I was. I figured the best place to start looking for answers would be from Jimmy Meatball himself, but I knew he wouldn't shed any light on the subject, at least not willingly. My young art teacher walked to her seat at the front right corner wearing glasses that made her look sixty. The tables in the art room stood in a u–shape, which supposedly made us students more "social and creative". The white board in the front of the room filled with scribbles of drawings used for other classes. I could smell the vanilla scented candle in the air that the teacher kept at all times on her desk. I walked to my assigned seat at the front right corner where I saw my friend, Michayla, flash me a smile. All the other seats and desks empty. I came early. As soon as I sat at my desk, my friend started gushing about how amazing her weekend was. Everything she said I, admittedly, ignored. I thought about the quote I read in my favorite book before I came to class. "Whatever you are physically...strong or weak, ill or healthy–all those things matter less than what your heart contains. All those other things, they are the glass that contains the lamp, but you are the light inside." I shook my head, diverting my attention to the long pointy needles and black papers that our art teacher put on the center of the table, and took one of the pointy needles. He was the CEO of Sentec, a biochemistry company dealing with olfactory products; as scents and pheromones. His whole life, as it related to his work and the company, was stored on the hard drive of the electrically driven machine sitting in front of him. His laptop held many of the company 's dirty little secrets, along with the most valuable product information available. Emails, correspondence with other executives, employee histories, background checks, end of month and year datum, everything on the shared–directory files which adorned the drives "A" through "ZZ." Currently, it showed his email, buddy list and a word document he was typing. Niles wasn 't doing company work. In the background, symphonic music set the tone. Behind him, a wall of awards and certificates; Niles had been the face of Sentec ever since its inception in 1997 and ever since its total coup de etas of the fragrance industry from mid–1998 on. The awards, however, were careful not to cover up the bronzed motto hanging eternally over his head: "Making SCENTS of your life!" Click click click, the keys beneath Niles 's fingers were pressed one by one. Niles stared intently at his screen. He worked with Sarah and Philip to sort through the packs and they rapidly made up small bundles for Sarah and Phillip to carry. While doing so, he gave them some advice. "Jerrit mentioned that this was a Shadoch raiding party. They are a brutal and very dangerous people. We rarely see them in Emradon and it is odd that the path Dirac found leads to the southeast. • 20. How Is Snowball Into A Mountain Of Trouble? It's funny how the smallest of comments can snowball into a mountain of trouble. I guess it's the silence that really hurts the situation, beating it into a pulp of what it used to be. I have very few friends, and that can sometimes come in handy or hurt me in unimaginable ways. Now I know that I've said some things I shouldn't have said before, but it's usually stayed the small incident it is. There has only been one time in my life where I have been in some deep trouble due to saying something I shouldn't have said. It all started in science class. I was intent on finishing my work, like most other kids rushing to beat the bell. My friend, Robert, was sitting next to me. Being a genius, he had already finished all of his work. He ... The teacher didn't notice my scream but did notice the absence of pencils scratching against paper. He told everyone to get back to work, so they did. I looked to my right to apologize to Robert, but he started getting up to leave because of the bell. I felt truly terrible. I hadn't meant what I said and shouldn't have said it, but I still thought the whole thing would blow over in a matter of a few minutes. I couldn't have been more incorrect. The next class was a bore, as usual. I wasn't really thinking about Robert and what I had said until I felt a poke from behind. I heard a small hissing noise. "Psst," the mysterious entity said. I turned around to see that it was one of my worst enemies, Dylan. "Hello, Dylan," I hissed to him not unlike Jerry Seinfeld encountering Newman. "Hello, Fonseca," he responded in the same manner. "I heard that you were bad–mouthing Robert, like the coward you are. I'm pretty sure I saw him taking an alternate path to class, to avoid you." Oh man, I thought. This isn't going to end well. "Just stay away from me, Dylan," I told him. He sat back in his chair, having accomplished his mission. "Your grave," he said. That period was the hardest I've ever had to stand. In fact there will never was, nor will there ever be, a time that would surpass the horror humanity faced during the outbreak. We were put through a trial. Some passed and some failed. The worst traits of humanity were exposed during the outbreak. But at the same time, the best traits shone so brightly that the darkness of humanity dissipated. It was the survivors that fought to get our lives back who had these traits. Many credit me with bringing together so many people, with different ideals, to fight back or bringing out the best in people because I inspired them. That was not true. It was thanks to true humanity. The humanity I always knew existed. It's just that it was always suppressed by the darkness of humanity. If you said to me a year before the outbreak that this would happen, I would send you to a mental asylum. I guess the joke is on me, so to speak. I wasn't, what some would say, a confident person.
